The room was dated and spartan but comfortable. The food was adequate and occasionally quite good. The staff was excellent and attentive. Someone was always available and they were all very helpful and kind. My husband was there for 20 days and well treated.

The room Was very nice. The food was not the best. My cousin did not want to eat most of it. The staff was wonderful and very caring.

My 93 yr old mom went to The Laurels after a hospital stay. She needed to gain strength and confidence in mobility and personal care. When she arrived she was on oxygen and needed help standing up, walking and dressing. All personnel were very kind and caring towards her. Especially the Therapy department. They got her moving and helped her gain her confidence back. Very attentive and friendly smiles. Of course no one wants to be in a facility for any length of time. However we felt like she definitely left in a much better health and strength condition. Communication was easy as staff seemed very approachable.

I tired having my parent at home and still trying to work a FT job. I'm so glad that they were able to be placed at the Laurels of Hendersonville. I know that my parent is being taken care of and I don't have to worry about them. The facility is always clean and the staff are warm and friendly and I can tell they really care about my parent.

My husband was a patient here for 5 weeks and it was a nightmare. We both contracted Covid a week after arrival and he contracted 3 UTIs in the following weeks. Although they have some excellent staff, they are spread too thin and the agency help has no idea what is going on. Weekends were especially bad. Personal care left a lot to be desired. The therapy that he was there for might have been okay if he was not so sick from the infections that he couldn't participate. The food was good for the most part, but the room was not clean. It was very small with little room to move. There were a few very caring staff members who should be commended. The new administrator is trying to make improvements but it is slow going and too late for my husband. He is much worse for having been there. I would not recommend it but I don't think any of them are much better these days.

A "rest home" with a skilled nursing section. Good for those that need extended care due to handicaps and/or demensia. Cost at or above national average.

My aunt only has the nicest things to say about this facility. They have been very helpful with information they have given our family. My aunt is vocal so I am sure she would tell me about any issues. Thank you.

I am so Blessed that Mother has such quality care. I visit every month from Florida and my brother visits almost every day. We check out all of the facilities in the area and this is the best. The staff knows and calls everyone by name and they are all treated with respect. I don't know how they do all they do. I would highly recommend the Laurels to anyone needing short term or long term care. God Bless the staff at the Laurels!

I am horrified with the lack of care my family member was provided while in the extended care at The Laurels. Incident after incident kept occurring causing gross health and physical problems and none of the staff could explain what happened. There have been far too many times where infections have occurred from the lack of physical care and far too many injuries have occurred. We are looking for alternative living facilities.
