My mother is at Carolina Reserves of Hendersonville in the memory care unit right now, and she seems to be settling in there. Everything has been very helpful. They worked with us to get her there. It's been great. The staff is attentive. She's very comfortable there, and she has plenty of room. Everything looks updated, updated flooring, and updated painting. It's very clean. I went to an ice cream social and I observed the Veteran's Day ceremony and part of a bingo game.

We liked Carolina Reserve of Hendersonville. It was a nice clean place. The room we looked at had just been vacated, so it hadn't been cleaned and repainted. We didn't particularly like the location of that room, but it was all they had right then. It wouldn't be a room that we would have been interested in because it was at the back of the building and there was no view. The staff who gave the tour was nice. She was very talkative. We didn't eat any food, but the dining area looked nice and clean. They had games, crafts, bingo, and movies for activities.

The rooms are pretty dirty most of the time. There are some really kind staff members, but the head nurses are really unpleasant and unprofessional. The food is absolutely awful. Needless to say, I cannot recommend anyone placing a loved one at this place.

We have found a place for my mother-in-law, Carolina Reserve of Hendersonville. We're doing paperwork and getting everything ready. The room is not yet ready; it'll be ready at the end of the month. The experience was good. I like it because it's a smaller facility. The staff was very friendly. I thought the room size was nice and appropriate. The dining area is nice. They had a music therapy class going on when I was there.

We like all of the activities that Carolina Reserve of Hendersonville provides for the residents. Knowing that my mother-in-law cannot always participate fully, at least they have activities where she's not sitting doing nothing. They have lots of things to do, and that's a blessing because when she was at home, she didn't have those types of things. It is wonderful. Their food is absolutely fabulous too. She eats better than she's eaten in the last five years. They have a dining hall, arts and and crafts room, and music every week where you can do singalongs. They had music one evening where they were all dancing, and she absolutely loved that. They also have birthday parties for whomever's birthday is going that week. The staff is just so wonderful, so caring, and patient. We're just overwhelmed with how we feel about them because it's absolutely the most perfect place for her to be. A few times we have been there, it's pretty much been spotless; there's just one area that they could improve on: the laundry. They always don't get the proper clothing and accessories back to the correct person.

I put my dad in Spring Arbor, and they’re great. They have activities, and he’s part of the community, socialized, and gained weight, so I know the food is good. He’s happy there. So far, everyone that I have met and talked with has been nice. They seemed to be well trained in the Alzheimer’s, dementia memory care. Professional, loving, caring, I haven’t yet met any of them who didn’t appear to know what they were doing, and they weren’t there because that was what they were called to do. You can tell when you meet people that it’s a job and they’re just ready to get a pay check and I haven’t encountered any of that there. It’s really good, and then because he’s high functioning he’s allowed to attend with a one-on-one over the regular assisted side in some of their activities.

I had to move my relative immediately and Spring Arbor was available at that time. It was also the least expensive facility that I could find in the area. We also chose this facility for him because it was a lockdown facility. It is close by. This place is very nice. It is also well-decorated. They do have adequate services and activities for their patients. He has been there for two weeks now. He is in a shared room and it is a very nice room. There is furniture already provided for him.
