My mother-in-law has moved into Brookdale Hendersonville East. I liked the unannounced visits where people still seemed happy and I ran into several employees that had their parents at the center. The staff members seem to care about their jobs and the people. She seems happy with the food. They have bingo, movie nights, exercise glasses, brain games, church and devotions, crafts, shopping trips, and some field trips. I wish they had more outside field trips. There are not a whole lot of extras. It's not luxurious, but it's nice. I think there's a beauty salon, but I've never seen the door open and the gym has some recumbent bikes.

The tour I had with Brookdale Hendersonville East was nice. The building is older, but they have upgraded in some places. It just wasn't suitable for me, particularly as a wheelchair user. They had many activities. They had a laundry room, which was nice, but they also had hookups in the rooms if you wanted to bring or purchase laundry room facilities. Cherry was fabulous. She took the longest time with us. She's checked in with us if we're interested, wanted to keep tabs on us, and was willing to go the extra mile. The building just needed a little bit more work, but the people that lived there were happy. I didn't see one unhappy person. Since I am still mentally alert and well cognitively, that was the one place I felt like I could have a conversation with someone. People were active. People were alert. People looked happy. It was just a really neat place where I could get that extra physical help, but still be involved in things.

There was limited space in the apartments at Brookdale Hendersonville East. It seems to be a lower cost initiative. They treated us to lunch and the food was fine. The dining area was satisfactory. The staff person was very hospitable, welcoming, and helpful. He told us what we needed to know and he showed us a sample apartment. The apartment looked institutional. It was smaller than we're looking for. The facility was very clean and well kept.

We toured Brookdale Hendersonville East. The outside looked a little tired and dated. The interior, although it had been renovated several years ago, is good. Before I even made an appointment, Christian said that the community was special. The residents were active, and that's exactly what we encountered. We had two appointments, so we weren't interested in spending too much time eating. We did observe. We looked at the food. We went into the kitchen, and evaluated the appearance of the food. We did talk to Chris about the preparation of the food. The food seemed to be based on the discussion we had, more personalized, more home-cooked from scratch, versus institutional food. The view from the window of the space that we looked at was a parking lot. It was somewhat nondescript. They did have a room that was a one-bedroom overlooking the courtyard. That was nice, but the one bedroom was $4200 just for the space and food. No health care since they're independent. That's out of our budget. Chris' general attitude towards the residents, was very upbeat, and very happy was significantly better compared to other places we've seen.

We toured Brookdale Hendersonville East. The staff was very thorough and informative. They showed us the rooms, and there were two vacant bedrooms available. They also showed us the activity areas and the dining area; it's an older building.

Brookdale Hendersonville East was a nice place. I like the layout of the apartments. I like the lady who took us around. She was extremely social. I like the fact that they have underground parking. The people were friendly. The atmosphere was great. They have a Friday night get-together and movie nights, which sounds very nice.

I had an in-person tour of Brookdale Hendersonville East. I actually talked to the director. She was very nice and polite. She told me the different prices based on how they started out, like if you needed a studio apartment or what level of care you would need. She showed me the activities. They also have a dining room where you can go and have three meals a day. They have a lot of activities. They have a workout room. The facility was very nice and well kept. The people that I spoke to were very nice and friendly. I did intermingle with some of the people there, and they seemed to be happy. They had elevators. The staff showed me an efficiency apartment with a big bedroom, one bathroom, a kitchenette, and a living room.

Brookdale Hendersonville East seems very clean and smells good. The gal who showed me around was great. Their activities seemed to be very peaceful, and the residents seemed to be enjoying them from what I could see. We saw the one-bedroom, which was what my mother would be interested in. I liked it a lot. We saw the library, the theater, the dining area, and game rooms. They had a nice little patio and a courtyard.

We toured Brookdale Hendersonville East. The apartment had a little kitchenette, and the main thing was the bedroom. And then they showed us where the activity rooms were, and talked about some of the activities that went on. They had a worship service, and then they took trips, and they would take you to the stores, and that type of thing. They were very nice. They were very congenial, very friendly, and they answered all the questions we asked them. They offered us lunch, but we declined it. Everything looked very clean and very neat.

Brookdale Hendersonville East had plenty of areas that were available for people to meet and be in common areas to watch TV, play games, do crafts, or to do study. They had a private dining room for those residents who needed to have a small area for a family situation or if they wanted to meet with somebody. They can pick the day before the food they want for the next day and choose between two entrees and three or four vegetables. If they want a little bit of everything, they're allowed to have that. The only negative that I saw was its location and having to go down a one-way street and turn around and come back to get to it, etc. It's a little confusing. A lot of the residents have cars and the older you get, the more things like that might be a problem, but that is what it is. They have a bus service to take them to the store or Walmart or doctor's visits. They have specific days for that. They can schedule and be taken. If you wanted to go somewhere and just drive through a neighborhood, they could do that, too. They have a lot of different activities and a lot of things they can do on their own.

We looked Brookdale Hendersonville East, which was very intriguing, and the only reason that didn't happen was because my dad didn't want to live in an apartment-style situation. The staff member, Nancy, continued to reach out and see if there was anything else that she could do or help with. They have an exercise place and a library.

We visited Brookdale Hendersonville East, but my grandmother didn't like it. I think they have a lot to offer, great activities, and things like that. Maybe because we visited it in the morning, it seemed kind of depressing. Residents were sleeping in the hallways. It gave more of a nursing home vibe than an active community. They should not do tours in the morning because it doesn't reflect what the community looks like in its best state. It just felt kind of sad when we were there. The staff was great. The facilities were great. They had a gym, an outdoor space, arts and crafts, a movie theater, a computer room, and games. They had a lot going on. It just overall felt a little bit more like a nursing home to me. It didn't feel like an independent living place.

The people at Brookdale Hendersonville East were very nice. We liked that they had transportation arranged for certain things like shopping or other things of interest. Everything was well cared for, but the facility itself was an older building, and they don't have a continuum of care in one location. The community was also located in an area where it seemed to have less interest for our purposes than the other location that we toured.

Brookdale Hendersonville East was great. They had so many activities. Some activities were going on while we were there, like crafts. They had a music room, a theater, and a library. It was really nice. They also gave us lunch. It was spotless and clean. The apartments were kind of small. We looked at the one-bedroom. It was on the ground floor, and it had a glass door that went out to the patio. There was a little yard there. The staff said that you could put up a small removable fence for your pets. The bedroom would accommodate a queen bed, but we have a king. The bathroom was big. The closet was adequate. It had a full kitchen. The staff during the tour was very nice and very professional. She knew what she was talking about. The other staff members that we met along the way were very friendly and told us a little bit about what they did. The lady that took us around, Nancy, was just wonderful. When we went back to her office, she gave us a little packet. She wrote down all the prices and anything extra. She gave us floor plans. She also gave us each an insulated coffee mug with the Brookdale name on it. We had lunch. She brought us the menu. We had a choice between two or three entrees and several vegetables. The meal that we got was very good. We had beef stew over rice. They had pie, and it was very good as well. Everything was plentiful. She said if you want another entree, you can have it. You can have another dessert if you like. You can have whatever, so I thought that was good.

I visited Brookdale Hendersonville East. I cannot say enough nice things about the people there. They were super helpful. It is just more than she could do, money-wise. I like mostly the management and the people. The staff were phenomenal. They were so friendly. There wasn't a staff person who didn't say hello. My understanding is that in addition to independent living, they have a form of assisted living. Should the need arise, they would have some sort of way of helping you with long term care. The activities were supposed to be good, but we were kind of disappointed with the workout room. They have a treadmill, a bike, and something else. The workout room at Brookdale was pretty basic. One of the things that really bothered her was it's full of old people. They were friendly, helpful, answered all of our questions, and said hello with every possible opportunity. The food was good, too. We had a meal there. It was kind of nice, and it was delicious. I'd love to know what in the world they flavor their veggies with because I do not like corn, peas, and lima beans. These were so good I ate every last one. The staff were really the shining star of this place. I mean, the facility was a facility. They are all the same. These people really are what made this facility amazing because they were friendly and helpful. The rooms did not each have washer dryers. You have to go down the hall to do your laundry, and they don't have microwaves.

I picked Brookdale Hendersonville East, and I have been here for about two weeks. I have found the people very friendly. The food seems to be pretty good. They have a barber and a hairdresser. We have bingo four times a week, which is what I play personally. It is within walking distance of Walmart and all the shopping you ever wanted.

Brookdale Hendersonville East does extremely well, and they are giving you very nice care. I have a small apartment with all the furniture that my son brought in and my own bathroom. Everything is very top-notch as far as conditions. I have a nurse that comes and sees me, so everything has worked out very well. They have a sheet that comes out every day with probably ten different activities between morning and evening that are optional. You could go and attend it if you want. The staff is extremely friendly, supportive, and professional, too.

I went to see Brookdale Hendersonville East for independent living. I looked at their studio apartments which I am considering. They seem to have a lot of services and it was pretty adequate. The only thing is that it was a tad pricey. The staff was very, very helpful and knew about the facility pretty well. They had pretty nice grounds and a nice dining room. They had services in which you could go to the dining room and eat, you could take it back to your apartment or you could have it delivered for a fee.

Brookdale Hendersonville East was far less impressive. It's a much older facility and needs a lot of work. They seem to treat everybody like invalids. They serve three meals a day and they go on a few shopping trips. I have nothing positive to say about them. They need to upgrade the physical facility since it's pretty worn down. The place was clean, but it's very dated. They also need to offer the residents far more than just a shopping trip to Walmart or Ingles. The dining area was probably the nicest area there, but the menu they showed us was pretty sparse. The wait staff in the dining room seemed pleasant enough, but the woman showing us around was a little bit pushy and condescending to my mom.

Brookdale Hendersonville East was very nice and very friendly. It isn't as bright as some of the others we have seen, but everyone seems very happy there. There's a lot to do, like bridge club, plus a pool table and a library. You can have someone come in if you can't dress yourself, but you have to pay for that. The food is very good. It seems nutritious with not too much salt, fat, and red meat. My only objection is that there is only one bathroom for two bedrooms. We need two bathrooms.

Brookdale was very congenial and very friendly. It was a very lovely place. It was also very clean considering how old it is. The lady in charge was very nice and very pleasant. She explained everything to us. The staff members I met were very good and very nice. The meal was good. The facilities looked good. There is something every day on their calendar, like bingo, games, and exercises.

The feel of Brookdale Hendersonville East was very nice and very pleasant. It was an enclosed facility with apartments, which led up from corridors. We felt that the apartments were a little on the small side if we needed a wheelchair, but we still liked the facility, and the location was good. We met one of the residents who was accommodating and quite pleased with the place.

Brookdale Hendersonville East is mainly independent living. It's private pay, and I like the large studio apartment with the tiny little kitchen; that's what attracted me. It was a nice community. I have a friend from church who lives there, and she just loves it. I love the 3 meals a day. It's all in one building, and there are no private cottages -- so it's very commercial -- but inside it's nice. They have a nice lobby, and they offer movie night with popcorn and candy. You can get a 17x15 square foot studio, with a nice huge closet all set up for short and long clothes. It even has some storage in the bathroom, and everything is handicap-accessible. My friend has the room to herself for $2400 a month. She has her own tiny little refrigerator, microwave, and television and is free to go about her business.

I enjoyed me visit to Brookdale Hendersonville North. It was a very nice place. The people working there were very warm, very nice, very cordial, polite, and professional. It just was not what my friend was looking for. I thought their accommodations were a little on the small side, actually. It had a barbershop, a library, a salon, and a gym.

I enjoyed the meal I ate when I went to Brookdale Hendersonville East. I also enjoyed the conversation that I had with the lady that showed me around. She was nice and helpful. The space that she showed me was smaller than where I would prefer to live. As far as I could see, the residents looked happy.

We looked at Brookdale Hendersonville East. It was very nice, but they had cottages. Because my mother was by herself, she wanted to make sure she was in an apartment where she would be able to see people everyday. Brookdale Hendersonville East was very nice, but it was not what she was looking for. They were offering a cottage rather than an apartment. The facility was very clean. My mother loved it. They were really nice, they were roomy, but they were cottages and she figured she would be better off in an apartment.

My parents are in Brookdale, and they are seemingly very happy. They had friends that live there. It is homey, and everybody has been really friendly and helpful. The apartment is very nice, and it is everything they need. I'm pleased with it. They seem to have a lot of activities like bingo, arts and crafts, movies, and field trips. I can't say a whole lot about it other than mom and dad are happy there, and that is all I care about.

My parents will be going here in about three weeks. The people there are great. The rooms are nice, and I may even go there myself. They have three meals served in a buffet style, and their dining room is very pretty. They do all kinds of extracurricular activities all the time. They have a shuttle that takes them to town or wherever they want to go. The staff is nice and knowledgeable. He was very helpful, very caring, and thoughtful. He took the time to answer all my parents' questions, and he didn't try to hurry us. He is one of the reasons we picked that place. I will absolutely recommend them to others.

My relative was a resident here. It was a lovely facility. He had plenty of spaces to roam about inside provided he didn't go outside. We chose this facility because they have things that he likes. He is a pianist and they have a couple of pianos there that he could play. He also plays pool and they have a pool table there. He was in a private room and it was very good. They did provide nice furniture but I still had to provide furniture for him and moved those out. That didn't bother me at all. The only reason we had to move him to another facility was that it was not a locked facility and he was trying to leave it all the time. They told me that I have to move him into a locked facility because they didn't want him to get hurt.

We visited and everything seemed fine. It was an independent living unit but we were looking for an assisted living unit. The room looked sufficient. Their dining room was okay. They had some activities like bingo. It was homey. The only negative aspect was that they were under the fly path of the airport; so, it was noisy with the planes going all over.
