My dad is a resident of TerraBella Harrisburg. When I first walked in, everyone was friendly. When you walk in the other places that I've seen, it just seemed so dim, so dry, and so sad, but this place was very vibrant. And so were the staff; they were very friendly. The cost was excellent as well. It's still up there as far as other places, but I chose this place because of the location. I love the location because it's 15 minutes away from where I live. Since my dad has just been dropped off, he doesn't have a phone yet, but they've been very helpful with me calling to make sure how he's doing. He has only been there for about 24 hours, but I just got off the phone with them and the staff has let me know how he's doing and how he's adjusting. I've been going there more than once before to visit the place, and they made me feel welcomed. I haven't tried the food, but my dad did. On his first visit, they gave him a plate. He liked it. The outside needs pressure washing. My dad is a smoker, so the designated area that I had him go to yesterday, which they already knew weeks ahead of time, was very dirty. So, I let them know. They said that has been cleaned out from the time I left yesterday, but I haven't gone back. They have activities but I haven't witnessed any. The furniture was included. The only thing I added was a mini-refrigerator. They have pavers with chairs outside, but I don't think it was covered, though.

TerraBella Harrisburg was a very nice facility. It was clean and updated (I know it's been there for a while). It had nice grounds. The lady showed me where they eat their lunch and dinner, and how they set up their menus. Then she showed me the calendar that they get each month saying about the things that are going on. Like there's one day that they go out if they want to, and they have a walking club, which would be great for Mom. She's still very agile and can walk well. The rooms were nice. There was a garden where you could go out and plant. One of the rooms that Mom could possibly have has a window that she could look out onto bird feeders and stuff. Liz was very, very nice (everybody there that I talked to). She also showed me that there was a hairdressing and the gaming room, and there was another movie room/sports room depending on who grabbed it first.

I liked that TerraBella Harrisburg was all on one floor and that the staff was exceptional. The facility was very, very neat, very orderly, and very organized. They appeared to have a very good staff-to-resident ratio. The grounds were very nicely manicured. The woman who took us was the director and she shared with us more about where to go when somebody's money runs out and they need a level of care that they do not offer in an assisted living/memory care facility, like nursing homes. She gave us paraphernalia and booklets that listed every single type of care for people with disabilities, senior citizens, and those looking for affordable ones or on the high end of the market. It was a chock full of information with names, addresses, telephone numbers, and contact people.

I toured TerraBella Harrisburg. It looked like a little southern cottage when you drive in, there's a porch with rocking chairs, yellow siding, and white trim. It looked just like a little cottage, very homey-looking. The place was beautiful, very clean, and very well taken care of. The staff who gave the tour was great. She gave me a packet of information, answered all my questions, and did a wonderful job. She also gave me a cookie. They have the menu posted for the month and alternate meals listed for the month, so that was good. Their dining setup was a little room with tables, it was kinda like a little restaurant and it was very nice. Everybody was talking, eating and they looked happy. When we toured, I saw all the facilities like the salon, game room, puzzle room, and library.

TerraBella Harrisburg was a very nice facility. We met with just the director who gave us the tour and information on it. They had such a long waiting list. She said she thought that pretty soon they would have a room coming available. She sent me a picture and she kept up with me. The dining area was nice, but the rooms were very small. It was a smaller facility. It was not as big as the one my father is in now. It had its own dining room and kitchen, but it wasn't real big because the memory care only had like 17 rooms or something like that. It wasn't as big as the others. It was very cozy and comfortable. We didn't see a whole lot of the outside because it was cold weather when we came and toured.

TerraBella Harrisburg was a nice facility. It was somewhat older, but still in good shape. The staff was friendly. The rooms seemed comfortable. They're shared types of rooms. They seemed to take a genuine interest in their patients. I observed them greeting and smiling and calling patients by name. The upkeep of the facility looked good. The dining area looked nice. However, it seemed like seating could be a little tight if they had several patients in wheelchairs. They had a salon, had a therapy room, and they had a private dining area for families to use.

I went to TerraBella Harrisburg. I liked the size of the community. It doesn't seem to be overwhelming with patients, it's a manageable size. I like the unit that my sister would be going to, because it's even smaller, so again, a manageable size. The staff seemed friendly. The residents seemed at ease, it was clean, neat, no urine smells or anything like that. I liked it.

My impression of TerraBella Harrisburg was very nice The people were up and moving about, and it has that very welcoming feel to it. The location was further away, so it wouldn't have been as convenient for us to have our mom there. But overall, the facility was nice and the person that gave the tour was excellent. They were very well-maintained, so as far as the appearance of it from the outside, it was nice. The rooms were nice and they were spacious. We saw two different ones, and they were nice, they had good space in them, they're very clean, very nice and bright inside.

We went and we saw just one room. We were not able to tour the entire facility, but I think they've opened up now. What we saw was a model room, but it would probably be the room my friend would move into if we had moved her in. The staff was very nice. They just were the nicest people we've ever met. All of them were very friendly. They go to Wal-mart once a week, and they do bingo and exercise classes, and that kind of thing. The unit we saw was just a one-bedroom apartment. It had a bedroom and a sitting room and a bath in between it. It's like two rooms that are of the same size with a bath and closet in the middle, but you can go into the bath from either side. We were not able to go into the dining area nor to their sitting room area, but we were able to walk by them. It's probably not quite as nice a facility as where she is now, and it's not as big, but that could be an advantage.

We were very pleased. However, we didn't see any activities going on at the moment when we took the tour. It was right at lunch time, so I assume that they were busy eating lunch. We saw the rooms and some of the activities that they had done in the past. We were impressed with what we saw. The staff member was very thorough and very pleasant to talk to. She answered all of our questions. It was a great experience.

This community is the best. I have a good friend who is there, and she gets very good care. It is a clean place, and it looks very good. As far as the care, that is what I look at. It is not anything else that matters to me. It is the care that she gets, which is all good. They are exceptional there. The rooms are not really spacious, but they are OK, and she is satisfied with that. They do a lot of activities with them. All the people there that I have talked to are happy being there.
