My dad was at Macon Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. They're very nice, but I can't say that I love them immensely. They treated my dad well, and they loved him, too, but he got bedsores there, and I blamed that on the facility. I loved them as people, but I don't think that they had enough staff. They were very kind to my dad. They thought he was a precious guy, but because they were understaffed, it was hard for them to keep track of him. He stayed in his wheelchair almost all day, and that's how he got the bedsores. There was no TV in the room, so my dad couldn't watch TV unless he rolled out to the nurse's station, and that's where he liked to stay because he likes watching the news all day. The facility was a one-story building, and it was old. It was not in my opinion the best place to have him, but it was the only place we could put him at the time. However, it was the most expensive place in my book. I think it was too much money for what they didn't give. It was too high.

Little help can not meet residents needs. Needs more staffing and better management.

My mother is a resident at this facility. I feel that the care she has received has been barely adequate. Whether the staff is over-loaded or uncaring, I don't know. But when I visit and find my mother needing care, I get upset. I visit regularly to help my mother's health improve so that we can, hopefully, bring her home.
