I was in a private room for my stay at Bethesda Health care. The room was ok. The CNA's and nurses were all competent and respectful, and friendly. Always a nurse on duty on the hall I was on. The food was much better than the food in the hospital I was transferred from. I was transferred to Bethesda for rehab after being in hospital for 24 days. The rehab department was wonderful, both occupational and physical therapy.

HOW YOU SEND THE PATIENT OUT TO DOCTOR APPOINTENTS,I CAN SEE WITH MY EYES NOT ONCE BUT ON GOING,IT HURTS ME TO SEE MY MOTHER HOW SHE LOOKS COMING TO HER WOUND APPOINTMENTS,SHE HAS NO VOICE IN HER CARE,DRESS ,PERSONAL CARE,IF YOU CANNOT WASH PERSON FACE AND GIVE THEM BASIC PERSONAL AM CARE,SKIN CARE.SO THAT THIS REFLECTS ON THE FACILITY,MAYBE THAT FOR SOME PATIENTS DUE TO FACT SHE HAS NO VOICE,BUT HER CHILDREN SEE'S THIS HAPPENING AND THIS IS NEGLECT NOT TO PROPERLY DRESS FOR THE WEATHER,WHEN I MADE SURE THAT SHE HAD THINGS THATS NOT HARD FOR THE STAFF TO DRESS HER,BUT PUT THE WORST THING ON IN HER CLOSET.

Staff talk too much in front of residents. Too loud at nursing station. The main thing is a lot of staff especially administrator and nurses smoking out by highway n front of building. Never enough activities or amount of time put in them. Calendar is a joke. Family member was there until we could finally get her moved! Do not recommend to anyone!

I am a friend of a resident at Bethesda Health Care. I have visited there many time most of the staff lacks the love and companion to do this kind of work. Most of the CNA's are often complaining right in front of guest, having conversations about not wanted to get the residents up and not over working themselves. I have been there when family member ask for their love one to be changed and it may take the CNA's an hour to an hour in a half to do it. Residents are taken to the cafeteria wet to eat their lunch or dinner. They should be checked and changed before the each meal or so the staff says. This facilities hires people to get paid not give care and there is no one on the floor to make sure things are done properly. The place is average but the staff is terrible nurses and CNA's. The residents should come first. Please HELP these residents.

My family member is forced into a life filled with degradation, a severe loss of dignity, loss of muscle strength and loss of mobility. She battles with constant illness, bacterial infections, diseases, injuries and a severe deficiency in basic care and safety practices at this facilty. She lives in an environment of filth and danger. I would not recommend this facility to anyone that is looking for a safe secure environment for their loved one. Healthcare practices, facility maintenance issues, poor resident assistance practices, lack of commitment to providing a safe and clean enviroment stems from obvious poor management practices.

I have heard many wonderful things about Bethesda but I am very disappointed overall. Staff members are constantly on their cell phones texting or surfing. Bathing is not a daily occurance. The dining experience leaves a lot to be desired. There are several very caring individuals who work at Bethesda but overall it has been a disappointing experience. There is no type of sign in process for guests nor clear cut guidlines for residents and families. Residents appear very bored and the activity board looks better than it actually is. Come on Bethesda, please get your act together.

Bethesda Health Care is located in the very close friendly community of Eastover, NC. The employees of Bethesda are caring and considerate of the residents and the residents families. They have many volunteers and local civic groups visit and spend time with residents. The staff of Bethesda are very accommodating for their residents. I am pleased to know my loved one is well taken care of while I cannot be present.
