Brookdale Elizabeth City was very good at what they did. I was there for a month and I never had any problems with them. Their food was good and the room I had was adequate. They cleaned it and took care of it. I am still capable of taking care of myself and exercising and walking, but there were a lot of people that weren't and they took high priority on them, which was good. I enjoyed my freedom of not having a concern for myself about the maintenance of anything during my stay. Everything I needed was there and within walking distance. They kept the people busy by trying to take them somewhere, like drive them somewhere, even if they're wheelchair bound. They would go to places like museums and stuff like that. The facilities were good.

We had a good tour at Brookdale Elizabeth City. They were in the process of fixing a big water leak so things were disorganized, but apparently all the water damage had been fixed and they were in the process of putting things back together. That was my first impression. I was wondering why everything looked so kind of messed up. It worried me for a second, but they explained what happened. Then we sat down and spoke with the director, Elsie. She walked us through everything and had pamphlets. She gave us all the information we needed and tried to give us some leads on maybe seeing if Mom would be eligible as a military spouse. They were helpful. She explained it all as to how staffing works and the different levels. She was very friendly. The rooms were pretty nice. Depending on how much you pay, the size is pretty good. Most of the regular units have their own bathroom. They seemed tidy, orderly, and of sufficient size.

Our tour of Brookdale Elizabeth City was wonderful. It's awesome. I would love for my friend to be there. We liked it because it's something similar to our apartment. It doesn't make my friend feel too closed in. He also likes the idea that there are other men there. Regarding the staff, I'm a loving person, I'm a caring person, and I love to help other people, and I feel the same vibes from the staff.

The tour of Brookdale Elizabeth City was very nice, they were very accommodating, they took us around the whole place, and it was a nice place. The staff was very nice. They have shared rooms in the memory care unit. The price was over her budget.

I went to see Brookdale Elizabeth City for my husband. It was really beautiful, but it was too expensive. I couldn't afford this one. They showed me around, and the place was beautiful. It was immaculate. The people were kind of well off. It was a nice place. I would recommend this facility, if they can afford it. The community was spacious. There were plenty of rooms there.

I was able to visit Carolina House of Elizabeth City, and it seemed like a nice place to be, but I need to pay out of pocket, and it would sometimes go up to $6,000 a month. It looked the way that we wanted a place to look. It was well kept, and the staff seemed to be sympathetic. It felt very cheerful as well. Overall, it seemed a good environment. The staff were very nice and very accommodating.

My aunt had stayed at Carolina House, and everything in it was nice. It was clean, upscale, and clean smelling. You could sit on their porch, which was nice. They had big private rooms. My aunt's room was big enough. It had a closet and a little refrigerator. They had a cafeteria, and though I haven't eaten there, I thought they had good food. However, it was private and very expensive. My aunt complained that it was understaffed, but the staff was very nice.

Carolina House was fine and we really liked it. They have little one room apartments. The staff was great. I thought they would be fine for my dad. They have different type of games, checkers and card games.

When I arrived at the facility I was greeted in the front office by friendly staff. The facility appeared to be very clean and quiet. I was promptly directed to my great grandmothers unit. She appeared to be well taken care of and had nothing negative to say about her stay. The grounds were neatly landscaped and well kept. The building was clean on the outside. While I was there I had a chance to see her receive her dinner. The wait staff were courteous and greeted us. The meal served looked very appeasing and nutritional. They followed her required diet to the letter. While there I found out that they offered many daily activities in which my great grandmother could participate in. All in All it seemed like a great place to live. The staff seemed to care about the residents and there well being. I would recommend this to others

I went to visit this facility with husband to see his great-grandmother; I was so impressed with the facility. The facility is located in a really nice area. The staff members were really nice and the decorations of the building was nice as well. Overall the place was clean, kind and appeared to be well run. Each apartment includes all meals and basic utilities as part of the monthly fee. Also, residents enjoy daily activities, private dining room for family and guests, library and sitting areas, bistro and billiard activity room, housekeeping services and many other amenities. Other services include a beauty/barber shop for a nominal fee. The food is equivalent to a nice restaurant as well as plentiful. The facility had many different living room areas for sitting. This was really great in case someone didn't feel like cleaning their room for guest; or they just wanted to meet up with their other friends. My husband's great grandmother was really happy with living there and the staff members appeared to be really nice to her. The facility appeared to have many different staff members from each department, so we received a chance to see many different smiling faces. I would recommend this facility as a better choice.
