We chose Clemmons Village I because it was the closest one I could find to my aunt's family. When I went to view it and take a tour, I liked everything about it. Kim, the director, was wonderful. My aunt has a private room and she's got her own bath. She loves to walk so they have wide halls that she can walk in. The dining area was super nice. I was there yesterday at lunchtime and I was not impressed with the food at all. It was macaroni with tomatoes in it, breaded okra, and breaded cod fish. When I look at their calendar, they have something going on all day long, nonstop. They had some kind of church group each morning. The ladies can go to the beauty shop on Wednesdays and yesterday afternoon for their social activity, they were having a banana split. I wish I could have stayed for that, but I couldn't.

I did not feel that Clemmons Village I was as friendly as the other places we had visited. It seemed like in the other places we had visited, people had gone out of their way to talk to us and to introduce us around, and this was more like just a business situation. I was just not overly impressed with them at all. They are in the process of doing some remodeling. When I walked in there, it felt like a medical facility instead of an overly welcoming environment. I'm not saying it's not a good facility. I'm not saying they're doing a bad job. It's just that when I walked out there, I knew I would place my mom in that facility. They could be more welcoming, more warm, and more personable.

We are so grateful for the wonderful care our parents are receiving here at CV 1. Both our parents are in their 90’s and have lived here for about 9 months. My parents enjoy delicious meals and participate in the various activities throughout the day. From Miss Cynthia, the director to Miss Wendy, the activities director to each and every caregiver, they have provided loving care. The meals are fabulous. The facility is spotless. My parents consider the staff as part of their family. We are thankful every day that our parents live here.

I came and looked at Clemmons Village with my dad, and I like it. It is clean, and they seemed like very caring people. My dad is going to move into a private room, which also looked nice and clean. We chose them because it is also 30 miles from my parents' home and my home. It also has a good reputation.

My husband is in Clemmons Village I. The location is good, and it's a nice place. I haven't been able to be inside due to the COVID, so I don't really know too much about the interiors. We always have to visit through the doors or through the glass. I've seen his room through the windows. He's in a small private room, and it's nice and furnished. They're not letting any outside visitors in due to COVID. The staff seems great, and the activities director is very helpful. She uses her cell phone to let us Facetime. My husband is a picky eater, so some of the food he has said are really good and probably the not-so-good are things he didn't like to eat. They're doing individual room activities right now because of COVID. They're trying to keep the residents as much as possible, but they said that they hope that soon they could go back to regular activities. The facility is nice. In terms of value, it's reasonable in terms of the other places I've looked at.

Staff turnover is frequent. The good ones burn out or move on. This is a difficult job so it’s understandable. My loved one is clean, gets hot meals, and the facility is maintained and clean.
