My sister-in-law moved to Gabriel Manor. I like the staff. I like the facility. They seem to care about the patients a lot. It was just a good fit. I like their interaction with the residents and their overall communication with me and things like small details. The facility was very clean, well organized, and had a great plan for activities for keeping the residents occupied, and making sure that they were as close to their circumstances at home as possible. They had a good variety of activities for the residents to participate in. It was priced very well compared to other facilities and what they offered.

I went to Gabriel Manor's memory care in the Clayton area. I don't like the lack of mobility space available for the residents. They have very little outside space to go out to if they want to go outside. It also seems aged, like the place seems old and outdated. From what I could tell, the staff were great but you don't know unless you have your parents in there for a while, find out how they're being treated, and what's going on inside. You don't know unless you go there and hang out and see how they get them set up for their meals or change them. They need to upgrade that facility, as far as the look of it, to make it more alive. It has this sort of looming death type of atmosphere, they need to bring it more to life. It lacks luster.

There was absolutely nothing that I liked about Gabriel Manor. It was extremely dirty. It smells horribly of urine. The lady who toured me would not even take me to see the rooms of the memory care. She wouldn't even take me back there. It was filthy and it was old, and the chairs were cracking.

Gabriel Manor was a very nice facility. They had very nice rooms and they were very clean. The person there was very nice, very helpful, and very professional, but they were very expensive, like out of the normal expensive. They showed me a two-bedroom suite and it was a very nice and very clean setup. The dining area was also very nice. It's very well put together and very professional.

Gabriel Manor was an awesome community. The facility was very clean and diverse. The only con is that my mom can't afford it. I saw the main area and the kitchen. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. I think they have a board with the activity calendar.

Gabriel Manor was a great place and I had a great tour of it. The staff was knowledgeable. The rooms were very nice. The dining area was very nice, but I wasn't able to try their food. The outdoor areas were well-kept.

Gabriel Manor was so much more institutional and rundown, and it was kind of in the middle of nowhere. The staff who took us around was nice. They had a room set up for you to see, like a staged room, and then they showed us a room that was called a companion room. The one that was staged was nice. It had a bed, a bedside table, and a wardrobe, which I didn't care for because that takes up floor space as opposed to having a closet. They would furnish the rooms, but I didn't particularly care for the furnishings. They were a little bit more institutional than I would like.

Gabriel Manor was a great place. The staff was very loving, very caring, and showed compassion, but they were just too expensive. If I could afford it, that's where I would take my father. The tour was very lovely. The staff interacted well with the residents. I saw a shared room with a shared bathroom, but the residents still have their own privacy. It was well-designed. The facility was very clean and well organized, and the rooms felt homey. They had a fitness room, a TV room, and an outdoor gazebo area.

We went to Gabriel Manor. It's much closer to the family to visit. It was very organized when we visited, it was clean, and the coordinator was extremely helpful and nice. The staff was friendly and informative. And the room that we looked at was plain, roomy, and has everything that was needed. She talked about -- there were exercises and some other little activities for those that could participate.

My husband was at Gabriel Manor only for a month, but I can only say great things about them. It's a very nice place, and they've got very good people. He was in memory care. The assisted living and the memory care is in the same building. The people were very caring. In the last five days of his life, they let me stay in the room with him. They moved him to a private room. They would bring me water or snacks or anything I needed because we knew it could be any time. They were very conscious, and they checked on him. I stayed around the clock. Every two hours, they came in at night and they changed him. They were just really, really good to him. They were very caring. Because of COVID, I think they did not want anybody else in the cafeteria area other than staff, but from what I understand the food was good. They would help feed him. It's a very nice place, modern looking, and spacious. There's plenty of room, and there's plenty of open space. The rooms were very nice. Even when you have two people to a room, they're very nice. I like the way they were set up. They were very big and very airy. When we went to look at it, they said they had activities. They also had an outside area that we could go to, which was nice. It's a closed-in outside area with tables and chairs. It was nice to get away. I thought it was good value for the money. It's very close to the hospital.

My tour of Gabriel Manor was good. It's like an older community. The outside was nice, but the inside wasn't as good. The apartments were OK, but a little worn. I don't know if it was the color of the place; it just seemed dull and dingy. It's not dirty, but it's not as clean and fresh as the other place. The outside spaces were excellent. The staff during the tour was great. The dining area was nice. The outside was excellent and well maintained. The inside could use a little work. I don't know if it's the paint color or what. It just was dull in there. It needs bright colors.

This place is very unprofessional. The Sales director says one thing and turns around and says something else. Because of this, they cannot be trusted when dealing with families of potential residents. We met with the sales director about placing my husband at Magnolia Glen for a 2 week respite care. She met my husband and family when delivering us the required paperwork to be completed and informed me at that time there should not be any problems. When we went on that Tuesday, before admitting him that Friday, they did the assessment. Nothing was said to me about not taking him. As a matter of fact they took all the paperwork and tried to take the full payment but they couldn't as the person who took the payments were not available. I got a call on Wednesday from them telling me they cannot accept my husband as they felt they could not meet his needs. I tried to explain that his needs are low as he is very self sufficient. The things they were telling me had nothing to do with his needs but what was easiest for them. Even though they call themselves a locked memory care dementia unit, they do not take certain dementia patients. They said most of their patients have dementia from a stroke and since my husband didn't have a stroke and can care for himself they would not take him. They were afraid he would wander off. I guess their locked unit isnt very secure. There was no indication there were problems before the phone call. I would think twice before placing my loved one there.

Gabriel Manor was very nice and I liked it. The rooms were a little bit more like studios, so if you're looking for something more apartment-like, it wouldn't be the place to go. They were a good size though, and weren't really small.

We chose Gabriel Manor for my mom because of close proximity to her ongoing lifestyle and her doctors. She's very engaged in all the activities they're doing, and it's been very positive. They have a lot of activities, but she complained a little bit about the food. She's enjoying it there. I was disappointed that her room was relatively small, and I thought she'd have more living space for the amount of money that's charged. The staff has been very cooperative with us and very helpful thus far.

Gabriel Manor is the newest facility I’ve visited, and it’s the closest one to where I live. The dining area is very nice, and they serve three meals a day.

I visited Gabriel Manor for my grandmother. I visited and spoke with them. My grandmother’s youngest brother is a resident there. He has Alzheimer's. The facility is clean. Everybody is very polite. That’s the one I want to put my grandmother in.

Gabriel Manor was new and nice, and I like it. I like their rooms. I like their shared rooms. It’s not side by side; it’s like a T-shape so it’s a resident would have a room to themselves and they have TV already installed. It was just a very nice facility.
