My mom was a resident of Liberty Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Johnston County. The care was good. Just like everywhere else, they were short of help, but they did a good job. The staff were good people and nice. I would say the meals were fine. It's not like what you got at home, but you get basic food. She just wouldn't eat it, but that's just her. She just wanted a certain thing, and that's what she got. She had no appetite, but her food was good. They kept her room clean. She had physical therapy, and they did an excellent job with it. The staff and people that work there, I would give them a four. It's nothing against them, it's because they're short of help. The ones that are there did a good job for what they had to work with. Some were run ragged. It's a shame the system's that way right now. The facility was clean. The people we dealt with were good people. The only problem I had with the place is they were short staffed. The wait time once you needed a little help was a little bit longer than usual. I told my mom that was the way it was everywhere, but it was a whole lot better than a lot of places. When they get there, they were willing to help her. She was doing good. She had a bad first night, but that was taken care of quickly. My mom was treated well, and she was looked after. It's just that they were short staffed and the wait time was a little bit longer than most places. As soon as they could get to her, nobody went lacking. It's just that the time was delayed a little bit because they can't do so much when you have so many, but it was a good facility.

Terrible. Nothing like the pictures. Very miss leading. Everything in my room was very old except the bed it was a small metal frame bed look like it belongs in a prison cell. The food is the worst I have ever eaten anywhere.

I would not even send an animal here. Nothing but problems from the start. Promises to "try" to get medical equipment for the patient when they know they're not going to. They let a post surgical patient go for 8 hours without pain meds. Promised transport for doctor appointments and cancel at the last minute. These are motly administrative issues. The care staff for the most part try to help when their hands are not tied by administration.
hope this helps someone

Please make sure you are very proactive in the care of your loved one! Be visible and heard everyday!! Understaffed in most areas! Lost laundry, care in all aspects could’ve been better in my opinion! I’m sure covid 19 added to the issues, but that’s no excuse to ignore patient needs and care!! I also found the cleaning lacking in the resident’s rooms! Trust your gut!!

The rooms appeared to be roomy and clean. The interactions with staff was terrible. Could not get calls returned about patient as well as they lost clothes belonging to the patient. Patient was given COVID shot however staff stated they could not find the vaccination card and that we could go to cvs to get a copy of the vaccination card. Very non chalent and non caring responses for staff. You would think for the price that is being paid for these facilities you would get better care. Very disappointed in facility

Liberty Commons is a great place. It's very adequate, and it's spick-and-span. It is a little bit older place, but we have no complaints with it. Everything is fine. They have church, and they have someone come out and play the piano. They have cheerful activities, and I like that, but Mama wouldn't take part in anything like that. The food is pretty good; it's no better than the other community.

We went to Liberty Commons and the facility is fairly good. I like their rooms and the staff were very helpful. The dining place looked neat and clean. They do have activities, but not as much as I wanted them to be.

I grew up in this area and I have visited with several residents and family members at this facility. As someone who has worked in HHS for many years I feel that this facility is one of the very best to provide care for a loved one. The administration is easy to talk with regarding any issues and the staff are responsive and treat the patients as if they are one of their blood relatives. They have my respect at Liberty Commons.

My mom was in Liberty Commons for around 20 days after her hospitalization. It was clean, well-kept and a good location for her. The people working there were great. They worked with her in rehabilitation. She slept and ate really well there.

I felt that the facility itself was very nice and spacious, but I didn't like that rooms were shared for many of the residents. The food was fair, but bland, I suppose that's because they cannot salt the food too much. The nursing staff was attentive and helpful, but it seemed like they were overworked because it took them so long to show up or to get anything done. There is a nice coffee lounge there and plenty of TVs; there is also an arts and crafts room and it seems like they have plenty of activities for residents.
