Amber the CNA was wonderful. There was a filipino male Nurse that went above and beyond and showed compassionate care. Teresa at the front desk always had a smile and has a heart of gold.

Room is comfortable, staff is attentive and so good to work with, and happy! Occupational and physical therapists are great and positive in their approach in helping patients with rehabilitation. Food could be improved, but overall, it is a very good facility, especially for rehabilitation. We are very pleased that our family member is there!!

Do not take your loved ones here. Not compassionate at all. Told resident to “leave me alone lady” after asked for a trash an to throw trash away. Said the world doesn’t revolve around her!!!!

Staff needs some guidance or lessons in soft communication skills. Seems like they are in a hurry and make it sound like they go more important things to attend to. I am talking about Trish.

Amazing experience. My mother in law spent 34 days here and for a skilled nursing facility, this place was incredible. The administrator took the time to personally reach out. Can't complain about anything, they all really seemed to care.

I have volunteered at Bermuda Commons for several years. I've never seen any resident mistreated. The entire staff seems to be really good to the people they care for. The activities department offers many opportunities......trips to movies, shopping, the Dixie Classic Fair, going out to eat as well as having frequent entertainment come in to the facility. I've never seen any problem with cleanliness......floors are mopped, beds changed, etc. I do believe they are short-staffed but, otherwise, have seen no problems.

Our rooms are very clean, and my dealings with the staff have been very good. Bingo is one of our favorite past times, and going on shopping trips are always great. Staff raise funds for us to attend the fair, bowling and other things to make our stay here homelike. The Ball Games at BBT are wonderful. We have an excellent transportation system. Monty is and excellent driver, and is very kind. Different singing groups come to entertain us. One thing I really enjoy is the Alexa, and the staff dancing with residents in the hall makes everybody feel good. Nice free snacks when we want them. We have an in-house Snack Shack that is very affordable is is run by one of our residents. . We have cable tv. in all rooms, beauty/ Barber shop on premises, and not every facility has this. Our artwork by patients are displayed, and framed puzzles are offered for sale to help fund our senior trips as well. Staff members here are very thoughtful of us, We have an excellent outdoor area to get fresh air, a lot of places do not have this. I would recommend this facility with enthusiasm. We have a beautiful campus in a country setting.

Have had my mother her 3 times and it gets progressively worse with the last time being the last straw. Nursing care was non existent to basically negligent. Myself and family members found our mother soiled and in same clothes every day despite verbal and written complaints to upper management. Therapist was loud and rude and did not know what he was talking about. Sad. Used to be a place to trust. Now. Stay away!!!!!! Many more competent facilities around.

Had a friend there for rehab. Rehab was great, food was good, nursing staff hit or miss (some nurses and CNAs cared, while some didn't) and housekeeping staff not friendly most times . Too many personal conversations being had in the hallways, in the dining room, at the nursing stations-very unprofessional at times. Also many are on their cell phones while in between care.

My mother-in-law was there for Rehab which did a great job. But they are definitely under staffed which needs to be addressed promptly. Both my husband and I called several days in a row and never got anyone to answer the phone. Even being under staffed they need someone to at least be at the desk to answer calls.

I'm not gonna give a rating it's not all its cracked up to be what they say it's far from it, crappy staff don't want to do their job they want your loved ones money but get attitudes with them for utilizing their call bells and calling so much, they make faces and talk trash about certain ones need major work on and in the whole facility they've had to pay out two fines within the last three years and they were not to long ago robbed half of the staff look as of they are bout even apart of anything and they carry on and have the most drama amongst staff and not very considerate or helpful for others and they supposed to be aides themselves not some place I'll want to be live or put my family members in.

My mom was in Bermuda Commons for rehab, and I thought the rehab was very good. I think they are short of staff, and the building needs some work. My mother’s toilet broke, they had to go down somewhere for a while. My mother-in-law was there years ago, and I thought it was better. However the rehab was excellent, the people were all excellent, and some of the nurses were wonderful. Her bed didn’t have a railing; it took them maybe two weeks to get a railing for her. The food wasn’t as good as the other facility my mom was in. She couldn’t read the menu, and they said that they were going to get her a special menu, but they never did. They did get her a new bed but that was like two weeks, before she was going to be sent home.

After placing our loved one at BCN we were told about this site. I was taken back at the comments on this page. Maybe because we have had so GREAT care given to our mother and ourself. I did see that the posting were old and that the home has gone thru alot of changes, and it looks to be for the better. We are always welcome to the home and have not had any trouble there. We understand that there is no place that can give one on one care other then home, But we are unable to do that. When asked we always get an update for the Nurses there.( well we have to ask because they are great but unable to read our minds....but sometime I wonder if they do). I only wish that they were able to have more staff, but with the way thing are today we understand why. This place is clean, frendly, and most of all CAREING. If you look deep enough you can always find something wrong with anything, But if you LOOK DEEPER you will find the BCN is a great place for not only the old, bit the young too. The rehab dept. works with in house and I have seen people come in for appointments. Now they will work people hard, but in a nice way.that is what they have to do, to get them better.I'll close now but saying this ,I hope if I need a home for myself that BCN will have a room open

Today I found out that this facility cancelled my mother's appointment with her surgeon's office 6 days ago. They did not notify me prior to this or after the fact. I found out only because I checked with the surgeon's office this afternoon to double check the time. I have already taken another day off from work that is now wasted. I am an instructor so I have already cancelled my classes for tomorrow. I can't believe they have the right to cancel elderly people's appointments without some prior consultation with the family. Their voicemail message is that they value family involvement, what a joke. There is no communication between this facility and the family. They are understaffed, and poorly managed. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Many times we were promised a phone call about the status of my Dad-only got a call 2 or 3 times.Nurse told me Dad couldn't have pain meds because "it wasn't time."I was promised a letter to the VA for benefits which was never done therefore lost Dad's veteran benefits. He was suffering so bad until Hospice was notified. He was at this place about 6 wks.and we are so glad he is not there any longer as he passed away 3/24/10.

This is a very poorly-run so-called skilled nursing institution. The only positives in my mother's two-month experience were a few of the individual nurses and aides. Otherwise, the place is so severely under-staffed that it's impossible to know what is going on unless you are there 24 hr/day to monitor and ask questions, but even then, communication is poor. For example, we first met the social worker as we planned mother's discharge. The director was almost never in her office or available, and the bookkeeper was unable to explain the charges in plain English. Both seemed to have chips on the shoulder. Mother was failing, dying while there; once moved to a caring, competent facility, she has thrived. It is amazing what a difference a quality facility can make. This is not one of them.

I have been in many rehab centers and assisted living centers. The nursing staff is uninformed, and uncaring. The staff assured us that bed alarms and mats would be placed around my loved ones bed, due to risk of falling, that is yet to be done. The person attending yesterday failed to make sure that my loved one was placed properly in the bathroom before releasing them, of course there was a fall and injuries. This facility is not for people who cannot care for themselves. Hope to get mine out asap.

I would not recommend this facility to anyone who cares about their loved one. My grandmother is currently residing there. I work in a jail and inmates are treated with more respect than the occupants of this facility. They have not been able to get my grandmother's blood sugar down, they wait hours before catheterizing her (and sometimes it is 10pm or later when they do it, even when she is in pain), they have not weighed her since she went there 31 days ago, etc. There is a long list of problems. She is supposed to be weighed every day to see if she has gained fuild on her lungs, but it has not been done, yet. They advised her to walk around after her sugar was 485 and she fell to the floor. She fractured her hand in two places and they did not send her to the hospital until the next day. I am working avidly to find better accomodations for my grandmother. If I could, I would not even rate this facility with one star.

If you or your loved one needs rehabilitation at this facility be careful. Inadequate therapists and the manager of that department is not trained very well and inexperienced. I found him very rude with the patients and family. The reason i am submitting this negative comment is because the Director has yet to call me back to discuss any issues. Still waiting, it has been 4 weeks.
