My mom was actually in a memory care facility at Manor Hills. It's a much smaller community, not as many people. The memory care wing was smaller, so my mom couldn't wander as much. They had an excellent staff. They took very good care of my mom. My only concern was they told me that there would be a physician on staff to help do medications to help correct my mom's behavior, and they seemed to rely on her general practitioner. We didn't get the medications soon enough and she caused some severe behavioral issues, so, they evicted her. They did that within six days, which was kind of upsetting because they never gave her a chance to get on medication. The staff did an excellent job. They did the best they could for what they had. It's the upper management, and they're getting her assistance that she needs. They did a great job at caring for my mom. My mom liked the food there. The facilities were clean. It was well set up. They had one huge main room with very comfortable chairs or couches for them to sit in. They had tables in the back for meals. They had a large-screen TV for them. They play music a lot. And they always had something very mild on the television, like, either cartoons or old TV shows or something. They're nothing very aggressive. No news, nothing like that.

I toured Manor Hills. The actual place where my brother-in-law would live is roomy. You have to bring your own TV. But they have an armoire, a desk, and a nice chair. The residents are quite friendly. The staff was very friendly. The lady that showed us through answered all the questions that we had. They have a wonderful area where they all can get together, and the dining room is huge. It's clean and decorated nicely. It's not really showy. Some places are very showy, but you don't feel as comfortable. Overall, we were quite pleased. They have a golf course right near it so the people can sit in chairs and watch people play golf. They do take the residents out shopping if they want to go, and they also provide oxygen. They only pay for the hairdresser and their toiletries. You can bring your own furniture if you want, but some things are already there, so you can go either way. You can have someone like a roommate, or you can have a private room. It's like being home.

My sister will be moving into Manor Hills. I like the atmosphere. It's not a nursing home atmosphere. It's nice inside. They do a lot of stuff with the people. There are a lot of activities. The people seem to be happy. The apartment had a bed, an armoire, a dresser, a desk, and a bathroom. It's very nice. The room that my sister was going to go to is brand new. My sister wouldn't need appliances other than maybe a little refrigerator because they have a cafeteria for the meals. If she wants coffee, she can have it 24-7 because they have a coffee station set up for them. The staff was very nice. The facility was very clean. They even have a hairdresser. They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have several different choices for meals.

The staff at Manor Hills is very helpful. They're all very willing to help my mom. They are serving three meals a day plus snacks. It's awesome and the food is good. You can have a single or a double room. My mom is in a double room right now (she does not have a roommate). The room is very big and it's fully furnished. There's a bed, dressers, a desk, and a recliner for each person. So if you don't have anything, it's nice because it's fully furnished. They have movie nights and exercise activities, too.

I do not have enough positive things to say about this facility. I’m very pleased with the care my mother received while a resident there. Even when COVID employment mandates applied and they were short staffed the care was very good. I think their compassion towards the residents was what I liked most. I highly recommend this facility for anyone looking for assisted care for their loved ones. The facility is clean, the rooms are spacious, they have outside activities when they can, and they are very friendly towards the residents and their families.

I just can't say enough good things about Manor Hills. They've done everything that they said they would. When we have made additional request, they met them. The staff, from the case worker to the aides helping my father have just been outstanding. The room was more than adequate for my father's needs. They get him back and forth to dining because he's a 92-year old with a sharp mind and a bad body. The meals are very, very acceptable. My father's been very pleased with them. They just bend over backwards to make them happy.

My cousin lives at Manor Hills and it has truly become her "home". She likes having a roommate and the staff are all very kind to her. It is comforting to all of her family that she has people looking out for her well being.
