Based upon what we saw at Atria Rye Brook and the attitude of the people there (we actually visited a person who was there and spent half a day there), people looked pretty happy. The facility was good. We had lunch there. The food was good. They were nice and friendly.

I went to Atria Rye Brook. Everyone is friendly. Although, it's in a higher price range. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The facility was beautiful on the outside and the inside, and very clean.

My father is in Atria Rye Brook. It's exceeded our expectations on every level. The staff is absolutely wonderful, caring, attentive, and responsive throughout, across the board, from the person in sales, to the person who runs things, the restaurant manager, the guy who drives dad places. Every single one of them is caring and kind, both to me and to dad. It's also a wonderful community of residents. They have really wonderful activities and amazing food. The place is lovely. It's clean. We couldn't be happier. He loves going to bingo. He loves the movies every day. He loves special visitors that come. They have entertainment coming in. There's something every day. They have everything you could want. He had some health issues and onsite, they have Atria homecare. He came home from the hospital and they immediately started helping us and taking care of us. I wrote up a menu for dad because he has to have low salt and he can't unfortunately enjoy all that Atria has to offer and they let him order off his special menu every night. I've eaten there, too, and I love their Caesar salad with grilled chicken or with salmon, which is delicious. They have a very nice selection. It's not like a gourmet Michelin star restaurant, but it's very nice. It's very good food, good quality, and fresh. You can get as much as you want. They have vegetables. They give smaller portions, but if you want more, you can order more, but they're very conscious of making sure that they're not overfeeding people. Everything is well thought out and done so well. They've exceeded our expectations so much. The staff all know me, they all welcomed me, and they said they'll look after my dad. They're just really terrific. It's well kept. They have access to a gym and a pool. They have everything you could possibly need. They constantly have something going on and they're engaging them. I toured a lot of facilities and this one just felt really nice, warm, cozy, comfortable, and well kept up. It's like a hotel or an apartment building. You feel like it's very alive. It feels like home, too. It's wonderful.

I toured Atria Rye Brook and it went very well. I saw appealing apartments and the whole environment. They have a two-bedroom, two-bath apartment that is very nice. They had very attractive seating areas. It was an appealing, attractive place. They have a library. The staff was excellent.

Atria Rye Brook was very nice, and the staff was very welcoming and very nice to me and my husband. We noticed when we went in that they had put up a sign to welcome us, so that was something special and it was a nice gesture. We received a lot of information both verbally as well as in writing. The tour coordinator provided us with some brochures and printed material that we will be going through. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience. The facility was very well-kept, very clean, and very elegant. We liked it. The staff was very nice, very welcoming, and very professional.

My mom has been a resident for 6 years, and we have interacted with many wonderful staff members, on a routine basis. That said, I would like to especially commend her three “Angels” – Enrique, Larah, and Sonia, (alphabetically), who have all come to her aid, during numerous crises – all are undeniably “Salt-of-the-earth” individuals, and we are very grateful for them! A million thanks!!

I've been in Atria Rye Brook for about a week now. I like the friendliness of the people who are working here and who are living here as well. The staff is extremely respectful and friendly. It's what I had hoped for when I decided to come into living for the older population. The food is excellent, but I am not a fussy eater. The room I have is excellent. The unit that they showed me had a patio and it was all that I had wanted in the living arrangements. It was a one-bedroom and I even forgot to ask about a two-bedroom. I was pleased immediately when I opened the door. The layout of the arrangement was very attractive to me. The activities are more than enough. I came from a place where there was an excellent music school, and I was used to appreciating good music and they had people that were solos or groups of four with different musical selections, so I was very pleased. Most everything that I have thought that I would want in a senior residence was available here.

I’m here 2.5 years and I can say that everyone is pleasant. My two favorite things about my home is my patio and my neighbors. They do offer all types of entertainment that you can pick and choose. They are very helpful to get you to your medical appointments and give you chances to go to shopping centers. Staff is phenomenal and so caring. The dining room knows what everyone’s breakfast choices are before we even walk in. Amazing.

I have been a resident here for almost two years. I love this place from the moment i saw it. What attracted e was the people I met- everyone is friendly. I still feel the same. I feel comfortable and secure. All my needs are met but what I love most is the sense of community we all have. I have a beautiful apartment. We have plenty of activities that I am and am not interested but everything is available to me and everyone’s likes. I am happy and proud to be a part of the Italian club that is very well attended.

The facilities and apartments are spacious.. I love my washer dryer in my apartment and my beautiful stall shower. I have a terrance to go sit outside my door. Mostly, what's exceptional here is the people that live here and the people that work here. We all are like family. The food here everything you want at any meal. If the food isn't in your liking you can anything else. the most wonderful aspect of Atria is the range of activities. I am a political junkie, and there are so many classes on local, state, and federal. At 4:15 everyday there is a wonderful documentary in the theater and I love that. There is Happy Hour everyday at 4pm, and it's great place to chat and meet new residents. And the trips, we going to Manhattan for lunch and to see a Broadway show. There are also trips to museum and I like those too. I love going to Jewish services on Friday night, it adds spiritual dimension to my life.

My 94 year old mother-in-law has been at Atria for six weeks now, and is thrilled to be in this new community where everyone is friendly, staff is friendly and helpful, the food is good and there's lots of activities to keep her busy. She loves going to Happy Hour every day, playing bingo and making new friends. She said she's planning on joining the walking club. She also loves having the cleaning service that comes to clean her apartment every week and change the sheets. It makes it much easier for her not to have to do that at her age. We moved her from her apartment out of state, where she lived by herself, to Atria Rye Brook. We wanted to give her a more active life and a sense of community and we're so happy that she's loving her new home! Our experience in dealing with the staff has been excellent.

Just over a year ago I made the decision to move mom into a community such as yours. At the age of 88, and after living in Florida for over 40 years, this was not going to be an easy change for her. As her sole caretaker it was becoming harder to help her from afar. I toured many communities similar to Atria Rye Brook and always came away with a feeling of "despair" that my mom may be living in one of them. I never walked away with that "wow" feeling until I toured your community! When I first entered Atria Rye Brook I was immediately greeted by the FABULOUS front desk staff!!! They have a wonderful way of making you feel right at home. That feeling never left as I began my tour. My guides were wonderful, caring, and actually made my decision much easier. Each spent time to explain your community and what it offers the residents. While taking the tour I was impressed as each greeted residents by their first names, asking how they were doing, and just being genuinely interested in each resident. I was impressed with the cleanliness, brightness, and vibrancy of the community. Most of all, I was greatly impressed with any staff member I met during the tour. That first impression remains with me today as mom celebrates over a year of living here. As some of your residents have experienced, mom's needs changed during this time. I am thankful to Atria Home Care and the sense of security I have with their help. The HHAs have been WONDERFUL!! I realize how hard it can be for an individual to accept help from others. The HHAs of Atria Home Care do this with such diplomacy, respect for the resident, and a caring that is hard to find these days. I no longer have to worry about her in regards to her health and well-being. I can't say enough about these wonderful women and all they do. Please know that EVERYONE associated with Atria Rye Brook has been wonderful! I am extremely happy that mom is living in your community - and she loves being there as well!

Atria Rye Brook has been very good and very caring to my sister. They don't have their own nursing staff. We had to bring in outside nursing help with medication treatments. The facility is beautiful though, it's wonderful. Everyone has been very kind, very communicative, and very helpful so far. She likes it there, so I have nothing but good things to say at this point. There are plenty of activities going on. They have a hair salon, a workout area, and physical therapy. They have a dining room with a very nice table and outside gardens too. It's very nice. I would like to see more of a medical facility, as well instead of bringing outside medical help in the building.

Atria Rye Brook is mostly independent living and more suburban. There was more greenery and outdoor space. This was more of a two or three-level low-rise, more spread-out building. The staff was fine. She showed me around. I saw some people playing cards or mahjong, and there was somebody in the movie theater. They had a hair salon, an outdoor area, sort of a garden area, and a gym. I saw some people getting physical therapy.

My mother moved into Atria Rye Brook right before the world went into lockdown. I cannot thank the staff at Atria Rye Brook enough for caring for her (and the other residents) the way they did. They showed her how to use her phone so we could facetime everyday (that person is a saint - I can't imagine how many times she had to show her how to do it). The waitstaff brought her favorite treats to her every afternoon. Now that the building is open and everyone is out and about, my mom is able to socialize with other residents (she has weekly bridge and mahjong games), she joined their gardening club and goes to the movies twice a day! A resident taught her how to knit. She is like a kid in a candy store. I LOVE coming to visit her because she is just so happy! Thank you all so much for how you care for your residents. I'll see you in 15-20 years - save me a Longwood corner apartment!

Atria Rye Brook was a very nice, well run, and pleasant facility. It was clean, and it looked like the residents were engaged. There's nothing not to like about it. The only staff I met was the person giving us the tour, and she was very lovely. It's a very nice place, physically. It's impeccable, and it's strategically located. It's near hospitals, and it's near the ocean if you want to go.

My grandfather moved into Atria Rye Brook, and so far, it seems like it would be a great, new atmosphere for him. The people who work there are lovely and have been very helpful and welcoming. It seems to be a nice next step for him. They have a lot of activities, but he hasn't take advantage because he's busy with the move. But they have poker, happy hours, movie showings, and professors come in and give lectures on what's current (like politics and stuff like that). His room is spacious, it's kept clean, we painted and recarpeted, but it was a clean place to begin with. He mentioned that the food is fine. It's not bad, but it's not great. It's average.

Atria Rye Brook was excellent. The property seemed to be very good, and it's conducive to independent living. The apartment and the kitchen were large. The location was very nice. We were very impressed with the units. My wife could bring her furniture with her and fit it in. The menu was very good and elegant. They offered us a month free to come as a guest, which I thought was excellent, but we didn't accept that offer currently.

Atria Rye Brook is very nice and very good. The only problem they have with staffing is the dining room service. They never have an adequate number of the staff. There are plenty of activities, and they are all excellent. They have a full schedule, and they are all interesting and very good. The rooms are adequate, airy, and very nice. Each one has its own washing machine and dryer. It is all excellent, and we have no problem with any of that.

The Atria at Rye Brook was very nice. My mother really liked it a lot. She liked the sense of community, the amount of activities available, and the location. They had a lot of guest lecturers and movies. They call their dining room a restaurant, and if families come to visit, they can eat there with the resident. Some places do not allow that. The only drawback of the place in my opinion was the one-bedroom apartment which was very small. It has a full kitchen which took up a lot of space, so there was not a lot of room for storage.

Atria Rye Brook is a very good facility. What I like best about it is that they open their dining room at 7:30 a.m. and you can go and eat there anytime during the day until 9 p.m. They don't have a set schedule for meals. Also their menus are varied and they are very good. For accommodations, they offer studios, one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms. They all have the same amenities as the other facility, e.g., they have program and social hour, etc. They also have a library and a theater.

The Atria Rye Brook was a beautiful facility, but it wasn't personal enough for me. The rooms were very nice. The facility was very clean, very beautiful. I just felt that I was dealing with a corporation; I wasn't dealing with a home, if that was going to be my mother's home. I walked away thinking it was an efficient place; a good, clean and nice place, but I didn't feel that it was a warm place.

We appreciate your honest and thoughtful comments; know that we really take them to heart. To us, clean, beautiful surroundings and a tightly run ship are just the beginning of what you should expect in a community – and we're certainly glad you noticed! But our greater mission (yes, as a company) is to create a warm, vibrant community where older people can really feel part of something meaningful - where they can participate, be themselves and enjoy the company of their neighbors and our staff. All our carefully developed quality standards, processes and systems are only there to provide the best foundation for these things to happen. We would be so grateful for the opportunity to welcome you back to Atria Rye Brook anytime you like - join us for lunch or dinner, or one of the many events on our calendar. Thank you again for your comments!
