Love the fact that Kirkhaven will always conduct follow-ups on any concerns you may have l find this very important to myself that Kirkhaven takes the time to addresss any and every situation that might occur with your love one. Also Kirkhaven does meet with the family in a timely manner with the progress report, all the staff that has contact with the care will attend this meeting to give you an update on where your love one abilities are at and what's the next plan of action to help assist in getting them to further along with their dependency this was very important to my family that our Mom regain some of her mobility also Mom enjoyed being at Kirkhaven.

Staff are not only rude but they are disrespectful heartless individuals. Minus the person at the front desk, the cleaner and 1 aide. Facility is not clean. Food is not fit for animals. Multiple accounts of neglect and abuse reported by my grandmother I also personally witnessed the neglect of my grandmother and other patients at this facility. On multiple occasions, I had to help other residence because there was no workers willing to help. I know two people within the last three months that went septic from being at this facility. They were both also extremely malnourished after being removed from the facility. One being my grandmother who has passed away from the sepsis and another being a woman I met that had her mother in the facility who is currently in the hospital being treated for her sepsis. Be very careful they sneak a paper and during registration for the resident to say they don’t want to be taken to the hospital. Do not sign this form. This is not the same as a DNR.

I am very disappointed in the facility. There is 1 small tv they have all the residents crammed in around and half cannot see it. The bedrooms are not clean, the residents look dirty the majority of the time and the staff there except for a couple do not care and are even rude to the residents. There is hardly anyone around when you need them. For 16K a month you would expect top quality care. I pray things get better there.

The building is nice and spacious. The courtyard is a really nice place to spend time outside. Most of the staff are kind and helpful. We found the ones who aren't do not last.

the rooms very dirty the staff sit around on their phones don't care about what the residents are doing. DON/Admin doesn't seem to care about staff, so staff don't care about residents. they need to get a new scheduler bc this one can't seem to keep any staff in the building its always short staffed.

Administration does not truly care about residents’ best interests. They disregard loved ones opinions even when they are the health care proxy. Disgusting way to treat individuals in their weakest times.

My mother was placed at Kirkhaven last summer and it was a horrible experience for her and my family, she fell and hurt herself on the first day there thanks to the lack of care and attention by the staff. I was enraged that they did not even send my mom for a cat scan but told us that a physicians assistant had stated she was fine. I also noticed that the staff only was attentive with a resident when their family was there visiting. Overall it was horrible!! If u have a choice please do not send your loved one there!!

Kirkhaven is a dump. We brought my mother to Kirkhaven when she got out of the hospital and it was a terrible experience. Furniture was dirty, broken and torn. When we asked to have it replaced, the replacements were in worse shape. The walker that they insisted she use was flimsy and again the replacement they provided when we asked, was also in bad shape and unsafe. The staff was nasty to her, so we ultimately had to find a new nursing home to move her to. She is now in another home that is a clean and safe that we trust will keep her safe and healthy. Don t put your loved one in Kirkhaven!
