The staff at Drum Hill are wonderful. They have a great group of caring workers. They provide many activities and trips for the residents. (May be limited for a time due to Covid). They have games, Bingo, Pokeno, exercise classes, craft classes and movies. They also bring in entertainment from time to time. They provide buses to stores on certain days and have trips to go out to lunch as well as to the casino. You can see many of the residents also gathering on their own to play cards or games. They keep the building updated and festive, constantly decorating for the season or holiday. Our Mom's room was a nice sized one bedroom. It had a small, fully equipped kitchen and good closet space. Her particular room had a beautiful view of the Hudson River. They also recently put in all new windows in the apartments on her floor.

Drum Hill Senior Living Community is our first choice, and we will be going there, but we have a lot of things to figure out beforehand. We found that everybody (residents and staff) was incredibly friendly. We liked the setup. It felt more like a home as opposed to a facility. It gave a very homey impression. There are lots of little nooks and crannies where you can read a book or sit and crochet. When we did the tour, it was lunchtime, so I walked up to a table full of women and I said, 'Tell me the truth, how's the food?' And they said it was fabulous. We got more of a home-type feeling than the other places we had seen. The apartment was very lovely. It had a little kitchenette with a four-burner stove, a refrigerator, and a sink. There was some counter space and cabinets, and then there was the living room, which was small but perfectly adequate. The bedroom seemed to be a decent size. The bathroom was a decent size, too. Everything just seemed right. My husband feels it's a very friendly place. It's very open and very welcoming. He likes the fact that they were actual rooms.

I will be moving into Drum Hill Senior Living Community in Peekskill. I've toured it and it's a lovely place with lovely staff, lovely menus, and lovely activities. It's all independent living and I went for it for its looks, of course, and the menus. I also looked for activities to keep me busy and they have it. They have the sit-down Zumba dancing. They have activity classes, discussions, a library, a book club, and they have a bus that takes you to the bank, to church, and shopping or if you want to go out on trips. They also go down to the casino in Yonkers and a lot of things like that. They have movies every night. The apartment is very nice and it has a kitchenette and it has all the electric appliances and they pay for all the electricity. There's a bedroom with a walk-in closet, a walk-in shower, a living room, a foyer, an elevator, and air conditioning and heat. I have a view of the Hudson River. I saw the menu and some of the people there talked to us and said the food was very good. We were shown around the dining room. It has tables for 4 people and, I guess, you're assigned a seat. If you don't like it, you can go to the social worker. The staff was lovely, even the maintenance man. They were lovely and they talked to us and were very friendly and very clean. Their equipment was very clean as well. The place was lovely with a beautiful staircase as you go, proper carpeting in its proper place. It wasn't rippling or anything like that. The desk and the opening when you went into the building were very clean. The floors and desks were clean.

My mom has moved into Drum Hill Senior Living. Up to now, they have been very helpful and informative. It's early yet to say more, but that has been the experience so far. They've been very helpful and very accommodating. The process was very straightforward. There are apartments, a dining area, and facilities for activities. It's multi levels as far as floors; there are three floors. Right now, they're doing some renovations. They have arts and crafts, games, physical activities like chair yoga, and dance classes. I can't speak to most of what's going on there because we haven't been there long enough. From what they've told me and what I've seen, they have quite a few things that we'll find out more about as it progresses.

My mother will be moving into Drum Hill. I thought it was terrific. Because my mother and I had our first vaccinations, we were the only ones who were allowed in. We had to wear masks, shields, and rubber gloves, and we were only allowed in specific areas where the community residents were not. I liked the precautions that they took for the residents, which allowed me to feel that they would care for my mother. The woman who really connected us works very hard to get a lot of financial assistance for the residents. She was terrific. There was a step program where if a resident aged into needing more assistance, there is nursing staff available. They have chair yoga, a library, a gardening club, a book club, an in-building shopping area, meals, a hair salon, a nail salon, a podiatrist, a physician, laundry services (but you can do your own laundry, too), transportation, and evening activities. They kept us separate during the tour just because of the pandemic situation. You couldn't go during the weekend because that's when their family members are there, so you could only tour during the week. I like the idea that the priorities of their residents came first.

Drum Hill Senior Living was very good and that's where my mother will be going. I liked everything I've seen. It was very clean, and I was very satisfied. There were people gathering and playing cards at the time. Everybody was very friendly. I spoke with some of the residents and they seemed very happy. The staff was very accommodating and very polite, free to give information, left me to roam by myself as well as to speak to residents, answered all my questions, and offered me advice. It's a very nice apartment with a full kitchen and they also give you two meals a day in the dining room. The director of marketing was excellent.

My mother has resided at Drum Hill for about 18 months now. Hesitant at first to give up her private home, but the one bedroom apartment has worked out very nicely. She enjoys the coffee hour each weekday morning in the Penthouse, and takes part in many of the daily activities on the schedule (vary each day), crafts, music, chair yoga, bingo, etc. She has even started playing cards in the evening after dinner! While living on her own she was not eating well, but here she has enjoyed two served meals a day, with the company of others in the beautiful atrium dining room. The staff decorates for the various holidays and holds a monthly resident Birthday Party with live entertainment. Various community groups come in to "The Hill" to interact with the seniors and my mother loves to participate, especially with the "kids", be it the "Senior Dance" or Interact Club, etc. There is a bus for local outings and Church that is great since she no longer drives. The best thing I can say at Drum Hill is that everyone on the Staff, and even the Aides that I see in the common areas who are there caring for other residents, are all very kind. This was a great find for my family, allows my mother to remain independent, but near enough for us to visit frequently. When need arises, she can remain in her new place and we can bring in help as need be.

My parents re not too happy at Drum Hill. The food is fair with little variety. Very few activities of any interest. Glad my parents have a car as transportation is limited.

One of the things I like about Drum Hill Senior Living Community is the location. It is close to our house, and it is also in the town where my aunt grew up, so she is very comfortable there. The staff that I met seemed very good. They are very competent, very caring, and very nice. The apartment she is in is very clean. It is a perfect size for her.

I have visited Drum Hill Senior Living several times during the past year, and have found it to be a pleasant and upscale facility. All of the common areas are beautiful, clean and well-kept. There is even a beautiful view of the Hudson River from some of the windows. All in all, I found Drum Hill Senior Living Facilities to be a lovely place. I would highly consider it as a place for one of my loved ones to live. There are areas where the residents can watch television, as well as multiple dining areas. There is even a cage with a couple of pet birds in the main room).I was able to walk through the food prep and cooking areas, and fuond them to be sanitary and well-organized. I interacted with many of the people who worked there, and every single one of them seemed very kind. There are multiple activities for the Seniors (other than watching television). They have Activities Coordinator who works with the residents so that they have stimulating activities to participate in.
