I am staying at Heritage at The Plains at Parish Homestead. It was a beautiful place here when I first came. I felt that it was out of my league. They welcomed me, but then when I went down to supper, they ostracized me. I like that I get a whole apartment here. It's expensive, though. I like that they have heat in their air conditioning, which is included in your rent. The halls are hot or cold, depending on the season. The activity rooms are generally cooler. They were using fine china when I first came here, and I thought that was way too extravagant for our needs. The people were breaking it, so they got cheaper plates. They seem more usable to me, and they don't seem to break quite as easily. The food has gotten a lot tastier than it was. They have transportation for medical appointments. The staff members are nice. I think they get a little burned out with us sometimes, though, depending on their age and their experience working with older people.

I have been working with Kristen the Associate Director for a bit of time now- trying to get my mom moved in. She has been so responsive, compassionate, and quick to answer all my questions. The facility is beautiful- very clean. All the staff we met have been exceptional as well. I truly appreciate Kristen, and all she has done for me and my mom!

My mom has recently moved from AL to MC. Kristen has been instrumental in her move. Kristen has been the point person who could answer questions, get us information quickly, coordinate meetings, and fulfill many requests. Kristen works tirelessly to make sure things get done right. Kristen is smart, kind, pleasant and also very approachable, all great qualities for someone in the position she occupies. She made a stressful move less so.

I have a family member at the Plains in assisted Living. From the initial contact with the Plains and talking with Kristen and Trudy and going thru all the paperwork I find the Plains a great place for our family member. The staff is friendly and helpful. I visit quite often and never had an issue. The rooms are kept up and in good working order. My family member in AL is doing well. It was a hard transition to make but now he is comfortable and well taken care of. I like that they do weekly laundry and take them to appointments. We now have another family member going to the Plains. The Plains is well worth the visit.

From the initial contact, through move in, the staff here has been professional and responsive. The tour was Inclusive of all the information necessary to make a good decision for our mom. We are so pleased with the facility; the friendly staff and the positive supportive environment we have found here at Magnolia Trails at Heritage at the Plains at Parish Homstead is perfect for moms needs. Rooms and common areas are well groomed and clean, just enough space for mom, not overwhelming. Many activities and things to do. I like the fact that the residents are able to go outside at their leisure.

Kristen has been incredibly helpful and patient as I made arrangements for my dad to move here from Oregon. She always responded quickly and thoroughly to our questions. She worked with us to find the best location that suited my dad and his needs. Staff have been helpful and friendly. The apartment is clean and well equipped.

Within the past month, I have been working with Kristen to get my aunt moved in to assisted living. To say she went above and beyond in helping me is an understatement. She responded quickly to my many, many emails and phone calls, even on weekends. These questions included activities provided for residents, explaining the care my aunt would receive, I.e,managing medication, bringing her cat, getting wifi and cable set up, arranging for furniture move in. This is a big, life changing event for my aunt, but I feel she will get great care and be welcomed by the staff and residents, if they are all as wonderful as Kristen.

During our tour all our questions and concerns were addressed. We were very welcomed to the facility. I can't say enough about the staff. Our love one is looking forward to moving into the assisted living area..

What a wonderful, well though out facility for those needing a little extra attention and care. There is a pleasant, large, central room for group dining and entertainment, looking out in to a lovely garden area and a view of the woods. Very attentive management, and caring staff make sure everyone is comfortable and safe. A full time activities director ensures minds and bodies are stimulated. All of the residents have a comfortable room with a pleasant view. I have visited other memory care facilities that are quite dreary and sad; this one is much more "homey" and pleasant.

We visited Heritage at The Plains at Parish Homestead. We wanted to do assisted living, but they only had independent living available at that time. All their assisted living slots were full; all their apartments were full. It was excellent. It was our second-choice facility for sure. The staff seemed to be very professional. The facility was very clean inside and out and very well-maintained. It's quite a complex because they have independent living with houses right outside the premises like apartments and condos if you will. Then they have assisted living. We pretty much visited independent living and it was very well done. It was a nice facility. They have absolutely beautiful apartments in the independent living. The place was pristine. It was great. The staff was very professional and very informative. The dining area was excellent, too. They had the same situation as the other place where they ran special food items at each meal. They usually had like two main food options, and then they had alternate items you could pick off a menu if you didn't like what was being served that night or morning or lunch.

I went to The Heritage at The Plains at Parish Homestead. I loved it. It's just that my dad's dementia progressed, and they don't have skilled nursing. It was a beautiful facility. It looked like they had great help there at all times for people. Everybody was pleasant. The place was clean. I really, really liked it. I just wish my dad could have qualified. We only talked to the salesperson. We didn't talk to any of the staff, but he was very pleasant. He answered all of our questions. If he didn't know the answer, he found out, but he knew all the answers. He was able to answer everything we asked. The people that lived there were having a baby shower for one of the staff members. Who does that? It was wonderful.

We feel fortunate to have found assisted living for our mother at The Heritage at the Plains. The entire facility is lovely and well cared, and the management team, headed by Trudy, is actively engaged in providing a safe and enjoyable living experience for the residents. The caregivers and staff are wonderful, too; kind, supportive, and understanding of the special needs of the residents in their care. The menus that are posted daily look appetizing and well-balanced and reportedly, the food is very good. There are usually several activities every day for the residents to participate in like exercise classes, BINGO, Trivia. We are thankful that we found The Plains where we know our mother is in good hands.

My grandparents resided in independent living for quite sometime. It was a wonderful experience that allowed us to be close to them while ensuring they were in a facility that could offer so many of the amenities that they needed! It took so much stress off of them and our family! The staff are kind and compassionate and the management team was always available to assist us with whatever we needed! I definitely recommend this facility for your loved ones!

We chose Heritage at The Plains at Parish Homestead for my mother. I think the atmosphere was very positive. We also liked the fact that there is someone at the front desk 24/7, and that gave my mom a lot of confidence. The rooms are bright. They redo everything before you move in. It was really, really, very nice. She liked that they have their own washer and dryer in their apartments. They don't have to go to a laundry room. It's 15 minutes from my house. It had everything she needed, including a beauty salon. We met with an activities director who was very nice. It seemed like they really had a lot of knowledge about the kinds of challenges met by seniors. My mom's over ninety. Anybody I met seemed very caring, knowledgeable, helpful, and very accommodating. Everything looked very clean.

My father-in-law moved into Heritage at The Plains at Parish Homestead. It's very clean, they're very courteous, and the place is very homey and has big rooms. The staff has been very very helpful. My father-in-law loves the food; it's a nice place and I wouldn't mind moving there. It's like staying in a hotel; it's very clean, very homey, and not institutional anymore. You don't see people on wheelchairs out in the hallways not doing anything; it's quiet. The lawns are kept up and it just looks like a well taken care of the place. From what I heard they're doing stuff in the memory care unit; he seems to be having a good time and we haven't gotten a call from him asking to be taken out so it's gotta be good.

Heritage at The Plains at Parish Homestead was very impressive. The building in itself was very impressive, and I liked it. I just felt that with the COVID, it would not be good to go when COVID is restraining things so much. I wouldn't be able to have visitors, and I think that when I first get there I would want to have my daughter or son helping me. So that was one reason that I would put that off. The room was quite nice and the kitchen was very nice. The only problem was that things were a little bit down. Looking into the dining room, I could see a few people eating, but they looked very unhappy. I only met one person and he was very nice. Jessie, he was very helpful and gave us good information.

We went to Heritage at The Plains at Parish. That wasn't too bad either, but my parents were not ready for total independence, although they thought they were, and so that's not really what we're looking for. We only saw independent living. The apartments were very nice, the gentleman that showed us through was very helpful, there was a separate facility on the campus for assisted living, and if you needed to have assisted living, he actually told us that we'd have to move them from one building to the next. I guess that just wasn't going to work.

The Heritage at The Plains at Parish Homestead was beautiful. It was reasonable and the people were outstanding. The staff was very accommodating. One even came to our home and interviewed the person that we would be going to put there. She was very nice. She was an LPN and very helpful. The rooms were gorgeous.

I visited Heritage. We settled on that for now because it was closer to where my husband and I were going to retire. It was a beautiful place. The rooms were terrific, very homey, very well proportioned, and really gorgeous. The dining area was closed, but we were able to look through the glass door. They gave us the program, and we did see some of the activities. We talked about their tea time and some other things that they offered. We saw the workshop. They had a bus that would take them to go shopping or to a doctor's appointment. It did not feel like a facility nor did it have the smell of a facility. They actually had three sections: those that who do not need help, but just wanted a place to live; people who needed some help and medical attention and stuff; and an Alzheimer's section. You could own your own apartment or house with a garage and everything. They were still part of it but separate. They had two independent livings: one where you pay for their food, and one that was totally independent that was basically your own house. I was very impressed.

My mother-in-law is in Heritage Village at the Plains. It is very convenient for my husband's brother because he can go over and have dinner with his mom anytime that he wants to. The facility is very clean. They do what they say they will do. The have her sheets change and they clean of her apartment every week. I think they have a bus that takes them where they want to go. She's very happy there. I will recommend them to others.
