She's in Elant, and it was a not-for profit nursing home. It has been sold and bought by a group called Sapphire in New Jersey, and they are for-profit. We have already seen them lay people off, the staffing to patient ratios are not safe, the quality of care is diminishing, and the patients and their family and friends who are advocating for them are going to be really keeping a good hand on the post with this because we can't have this. We're seeing them swiftly taking negative downturn.

I would rate Elant at Meadow Hill a five for the nurses and the aides. The staff has been wonderful to my friend. The place is spotless, and there is no smell. They could improve their parking space. There are around twelve parking spots in the front for a facility with 300 people. The management we don't care about, but as far as the nursing staff goes and the aides and all of them, they are absolutely wonderful.

My father-in-law has been in Elant for about a week now. The facility is pretty and very nice. The rooms are nice, and he loves the food. They have a lot of activities along with the physical and speech therapy. But I think they could use more CNAs.

Elant is a wonderful facility. The staff was very kind and performed their jobs well. My grandmother was bed-ridden and never got a bedsore while in their care, unlike another home she was in. Their Newburgh campus has a lovely outdoor patio area for residents to sit outside it, there is always staff members out there in case anyone needs help. The building is all on one floor, with very wide halls and doors making it easy for wheelchairs and power scooters to maneuver. Elant is also a very clean facility, many times when I was there I would see someone wiping down counters, hand rails and many other commonly touched surfaces. Everyone I spoke to that was a resident there seemed happy with the facility itself. The only thing Elant has wrong with it is unclear visiting hours, after 8 months I still cant tell you what their hours are. I think they may change everyday depending on someones mood.
