My uncle has moved into Atria Park of Lynbrook. It's really hands-on care. He loves their food and their coffee. And he thinks the facilities are beautiful. But in terms of socializing, it has been an adjustment for him. My uncle has a studio. It's a little bit of a noisy street, so he's complained about the noise. I may have to move him to a room that doesn't have that exposure to the street. That's the only thing there. Other than that, it's a brand-new room and new furniture, and he thinks the bed is comfortable. The common spaces are pretty intimate for memory care. My uncle likes playing board games like Scrabble and Monopoly. He is not as far along in his dementia as everyone else, so he is having a hard time socializing with people. We weren't able to evaluate him cognitively with a neurologist before we transferred him. He was coming from California, so we didn't have a chance to really figure that out. But now we're figuring it out while he's here. Nevertheless, the staff is great, and I think the facility is beautiful. Also, for memory care, including level 1 care, they take care of everything for my uncle. My uncle can't do anything himself because he's disabled, so it's more cost effective than other memory care places.

My husband is at Atria Park of Lynbrook. The staff is incredible. They are very attentive and very caring. The rooms are wonderful. They are very clean and furniture was included. The janitorial staff helped me put some memories up with his pictures, so that was all very good. Based on people who have memory loss, they have a grouping of some people who are still a little with it, and others who are just sitting in a wheelchair. So, it takes a lot to entertain these folks daily, but their staff and the activities that they offer are very, very, very good. They go from trivia games to music to exercise. They had a Super Bowl party the other day, so they do what they can to keep people active and I think they do a very good job at it. The floor only has 30 or 35 residents. It's divided into rooms in three separate areas. One is a dining room, one is an activity, like a craft area, and then one is more of a living room set that's separated by a very large fish tank that you can see on both sides. It's very, very homey, very inviting, and very clean. I can't stress enough how clean the housekeepers are. They are unbelievable. They do music, singalongs, bingo, and arts and crafts. They bring in entertainers. They had some kind of singer the other day, and my husband called me to tell me "We have music in the background." So he very much liked that. They've also been very attentive. The director has given me her cell phone number, and she will contact me when there's a situation like the other day, my husband was invited to and went to the exercise thing, she sent me pictures of him exercising because initially, he said, "That's not exercising!" So, she's been very, very helpful. Housekeeping is exceptional. I've brought friends up to see him and they are amazed at how clean it is. It's very expensive, but you get what you paid for.

My mother is a resident of Atria Park of Lynbrook. I was trying to get her into another facility but as it turns out they would not admit my mother because they said that they did not have the licensing for certain kinds of memory care. Lynbrook has what they call an enhanced license. Therefore, I ended up taking her to Lynbrook. It's not what I wanted because it's an hour away from Brooklyn where I live. The thing that saved it was that there was a very convenient Long Island Railroad stop within easy walking distance of the facility, which meant that I didn't always have to drive to Long Island to visit my mother. The facility had been recently renovated. So, from that standpoint, it's excellent. The staff seems very competent and very friendly although the job that they have to do a lot of the time is quite difficult. Given the variation of the patients, especially on the memory care floor where my mother is, it can be even more difficult. They have a good attitude. Do they make mistakes? Yes, they make mistakes. For example, there were items in my mother's laundry where one item of clothing got lost and another item damaged by over-bleaching. Things like that are annoying, but the world is not perfect. I'm sure none of it was intentional so I pointed it out to them. The only other thing, in my mother's case, she has dementia and lately, she started to engage in this sort of moaning sound. It sounds like crying, but it's not crying. And so, on that basis, they seated her next to another woman who has also sort of almost involuntary ramblings of a different nature. So, anyway, I asked them if they could put my mother somewhere else and it seemed to be a pretty big deal because they had all these arrangements of people who were used to sitting next to each other and all that. But I told them that on the occasions that I was there at mealtimes, and I saw this other lady sitting across a sort of rambling out loud, it was disturbing for me. I'm just there for a few minutes, so imagine having to sit down for an entire meal, three times a day, across from somebody rambling and you don't know what they're talking about, and it doesn't make any sense. So, I said, I prefer that my mother be seated by herself than have to deal with those three times a day at every meal. They said they're working on it, but I have to follow up on it. I've been there several times and they have entertainers come by. They also have classes and sessions where they'll talk about memories and do word games. So, I could see the effort there.

I loved Atria Park of Lynbrook, but it was too expensive. It would be on the top of my list, if I was able to afford it. The person that gave me the tour was excellent. She sat down, talked to me, and listened to me. The most wonderful thing about that facility is when you go to their rooms. They have things outside of the resident's room. There was a little cabinet right outside their room with certain things that were sentimental to them. It helps them kind of remember where their rooms are. I really love that idea. All the residents were very happy. Everyone was clean. You could feel the energy in the room. The staff looked happy. It was a very nice atmosphere.

I walked into Atria Park of Lynbrook and it looked like a hotel. The community was renovated and is beautiful and modern. My wife and I were given a tour by Lauren and she was extremely knowledgeable, full of positive energy, and patient with us. We saw the residents engaged in activities and we know mom would love it here.

My husband is currently a resident of Atria Park of Lynbrook. He's staying in memory care and he's getting intense physical therapy for his legs. We did have at home physical therapy for a while, but it didn't work very well. Then his doctor suggested that we find at the very least some respite care where he could get help and that brought us to Atria. We signed a contract in case he does have to stay. He might be a permanent resident. He's been there for about two weeks now. I like everything. It is absolutely outstanding from the day I walked in and my son came with me, he felt the same way. It's been newly done, so it's more like a luxury hotel than it is a medical facility. The help from the top right down to all the aides that take care of him are absolutely excellent. He has a private room. It's like a hotel room. It's got chairs to sit in and it's very much like his bedroom at home. They have activities all day long, and they try to encourage these people to go to them. The meals are outstanding. I've been there with him when he's eating. The physical therapists are so caring and so good with him, that in the two weeks, he has made more progress than I've made with him at home in a couple of years. The physical therapist calls me and explains to me what's going on. It's simply wonderful. They have crafts, movies, and lectures. One day I was in there, they had on the screen, a lecture and a questionnaire, like brainteasers and things like that and he was quite receptive to it. The food looked good and it smelled so good, I wish I was eating it myself. The facility is immaculately clean. I'm very satisfied with it. These things are rather expensive because it's private pay, but I'm fortunate enough to, at least at the time being, be able to afford it.

We toured Atria Park of Lynbrook for my parents but I didn't care for that very much. It was in a very tight community next to, I believe it was like Northwell Medical Center and it was more of an apartment building style. It wasn't in a setting that I like, they just have communities better than Atria Park. Their apartments all had kitchenettes, no stoves, there was a refrigerator, and a microwave. The name of the person who gave us the tour was Lauren, my brother and I felt a little rushed on the tour. It was very clean but it was very sterile, it wasn't a very warm community in my opinion.

My dad is currently at Atria Park of Lynbrook. It's a nice place but it's expensive and they don't take Medicaid, but it's been a good place so far. It's been up and down with the community, they provide a lot of care for my father. There have been some frustrating instances in just dealing with his medication and his needs, but they have tried to work with me in getting the right levels of care for him. The facility is very clean, it has a gorgeous layout. They've done a lot of renovations so it looks gorgeous. Recently, they have had a lot of staff turnover, but overall the staff is good. I think that the Medtech could be more understanding in terms of patience. My dad doesn't always like the food. I don't think they have as many activities as they could.

I visited Atria Park of Lynbrook, it was very well-kept, and promising. The only thing that stopped me from going there was the price. I like the layout of the other Atria better because it was in a round circle, so no matter where you walk, you'll eventually get back to where you started. This one is more of a rectangle, it wasn't the same layout as the other one we toured. The time I was there, the atmosphere seemed pleasant.

My friend will be moving into Atria Lynbrook. Visually, it's very clean and it has a very nice atmosphere. From what I saw, they have a lot of activities available for the residents. They have organized trips. It just seemed like a very pleasant environment. I haven't had that much of an interaction, but the staff seemed to be very pleasant.

I toured Atria Lynbrook for my brother. It's my first time visiting an assisted living place environment and as far as I can see, it looked encouraging. I think the time frame is too short to do an evaluation, but for the first time impression, it looked nice, and the place is clean. The front desk was a bit busy, though. When I was there, I had an appointment, and so they get me to the person who was already waiting for me. She was very receptive, and she gave me a booklet and we toured one of the rooms. It was a studio, the largest, and I didn't want to see anything smaller than that. It was quite decent and pretty good. When I called on the line to make inquiries when I was going there, the person who answered the phone seemed to be very busy. So just cut me short because she had to move on to the next person. As a matter of fact, on the first call, the phone hung up, she hung it up or it was an accident. But on the first call, I didn't get through. I called to say I was running a few minutes late. The staff who toured me gave me a Christmas cake and she said I could put it in the oven and warm it up for 20 minutes. I took some pictures of some of the rooms and some of the areas, and to some degree, it reminds me of a larger nursing facility. But one good thing I gather from it is that assisted living is quite different from the nursing home in that I didn't see anybody in rooms like a nursing home, but instead, I saw people playing a game. I saw people doing other things and so that was one good thing that I saw where it seems to be active there. I would give the person at the front desk a three and a half, but the person who interviewed me, gets a five.

I loved Atria Lynbrook. They renovated the whole building and I liked the way that they have a memory care facility there established on the second floor. It's very secure, very clean, and very neat. They updated a lot of stuff, and I felt comfortable. It's not too far from where I live as well. If she qualifies, she can get benefits from Veterans, Medicare, and Social Security. If I can get her there, that will be the perfect spot for her. I spoke to Lauren, and she was very polite and very knowledgeable. She gave me some information to look into, and that's how I was able to find out that my aunt might qualify for VA benefits. She was very caring and very concerned and she understood the situation. She told me, "Whatever you could find out, as soon as you find out, just call us back and we'll see if we have a spot for her." She's very understanding. If anybody wants to reach out to go on a tour or whatever, ask for Lauren. Everybody was very cordial. I also met the director there and she was very nice, too. They have ample parking. It's very easy to get to. You can get there from the Sunrise Highway, make a right on Peninsula Boulevard and you're right there. It's not too far from the Long Island Railroad, so if anybody had to travel by train, the station is right there.

My mother moved into Atria Lynbrook. It's very new, and it's very clean. The staff are extremely helpful and always available. They've been very helpful to me with getting everything set up, and they helped my mother tremendously. There's never a lack of people to help her. She gets the food she wants, and they'll bring it to her room. They have craft activities, games, and movies. They have entertainment that comes in as well. Compared to what she was paying for twenty-four-hour home care, this is a fraction of the cost. In terms of a price, this was probably the most reasonable. There's a salon and a guest dining room for people who want to have their family over or host a party. They're in the process of building a little bistro where they're going to serve pizza, coffee, and things like that. They said it should be ready in another couple of months.

What we like the most about Atria Lynbrook was the fact eventually they're going to have an enhanced-care license. Right now, they don't have it, but they're going to have it in the future. It's like aging in place, so my friend doesn't need to transfer to another site if she gets worse or something happens. The staff was really good. They were able to really help us financially, like they got us a good deal and worked with my friend's finances, so that was really good. We just like them because they've been very attentive and helpful. For instance, my friend was at the hospital, and they reached out to the hospital and talked to the doctor, so they'll be on the top of the medical side of things and her well being. After so many situations that we had with the doctors, my friend moved in today, and it was good. They brought her some food, so it was good. The staff has been really, really great. She also loves the food. They're doing construction and not everything is so neat, but everything else is pretty clean. They have activities and things for them to do, which is nice. I've seen the activities and they looked really nice.

I knew from the first few minutes after bringing my mom to Atria Lynbrook Memory Unit, I had made the right decision. She was greeted with open arms by Julie who made her feel comfortable and at home immediately! She was escorted (with me) to her new home was the perfect size, and had all of the amenities that one could ask for! The Memory Care Unit is set up like a beautiful new open concept home!!! It allows the residents the opportunity to be given the freedom of moving within the whole unit community, while being safe and attended to as needed. There are all different areas available depending on what each resident has an interest in. There is a huge area for movies and TV, a separate area used for crafts and games, and a great area for exercise that can be done to the level of ability for each member of the community! There is also a lovely dining area where residents are served meals exactly like a fine restaurant. The tables are set when the residents arrive, and they are waited on by staff that is helpful and kind, with delicious food that varies and offers choices for individual tastes. (I wouldn’t mind coming by for a meal once in a while! What I have been fortunate enough to taste has been delicious! The staff aides treat my mom like they would treat their own mother. There’s NEVER been a time that an aide isn’t available to assist her with any of her needs. She’s continually checked on if she chooses to stay in her apartment, however, she’s consistently urged to be with other residents, not just for activities, but for socialization as well. Whenever I’ve visited, mom is spotless and well groomed! Her apartment is always clean, the bed is made (with the throw pillows), Her bathroom is sparkling and there’s never any trash in the pail! The unit head, Donna and Julie social worker (who I mentioned earlier), the nurses Lisa and Stephanie always keep me abreast of how mom is doing, and if there’s anything she might need. I could go on and on telling about the superior care that my mother is receiving! Believe me when I say that there is no where else I would rather her to be! I would be happy to speak to anyone who is considering making the Atria Lynbrook a home for a family member and answer any questions you might have. Although I’ve spoken about the Memory Unit, please know that the assisted living community as well, is like living in a five star ⭐️ hotel! The Atria Lynbrook has put my mind at ease with the caring and safe environment that they offer. If you’re in the process of deciding on a residence for yourself, or a family member in any area of the community, you’ll be happy with choosing the Atria Lynbrook as a special place to live.

We saw the assisted living part of Atria Lynbrook. We were able to see one of the new rooms, and they were working on an entire floor and changing it to a memory care unit. The staff during the tour was new, and she's very nice. There seems to be a lot of turnover, which is concerning. The dining area was redone, and it's very nice and very clean. They sent us home with a pie. The place was clean.

Atria Lynbrook was a decent looking facility and the people came across very well. They were under renovation and the available room would not be a good fit for my mom. The services were pretty good. The layout of the facility was decent, but not for a person who has mid- or late-level dementia. They're recreating another section for that. The staff member during the tour was very good.

My aunt is in Atria Lynbrook. It’s well maintained, clean, and modern but for the money that she’s paying there, I don’t think it’s that much better; the price is just outrageous. The room is smaller than my mom’s but it’s a room with a window and the bathroom is a little larger. Lighting is fine. There are a lot of activities. They have exercise, dance, music, and trivia. There’s a hospital nearby. The staff is very good.

Atria Lynbrook was nice and friendly. The rooms were nice too but ultimately they are not an option because they don’t have license to handle medical care such as oxygen and giving medications. The room I went to was small but OK. The dining area looked small and they have different dinner times to accommodate everyone. I met the people that were living in the facility. They were in the room, the TV was on and they were just sitting there, maybe waiting for dinner.

We visited Atria Lynbrook, and the staff was very pleasant. They took us around and did a good explanation of the costs. They showed us pretty much everything, and I was very impressed. We had lunch there, and I thought it was incredibly good. My mother who complained about everything on earth liked the food. We saw several bedrooms that were very nice. Some of the residents were clearly not mentally alert and were just sitting. On the other hand, there were some people playing scrabble and reading. The people in the dining room were all sitting together talking, and there were some people walking around outside. I asked a few of the residents there if they liked it there and they said, "Yes." For what I have seen, I would recommend it to others.

I thought the Atria Lynbrook was a nice place, but it is not. It is not the accouterments of the building itself; they are fine. They take anybody with any kind of malady. Most of them require personalized care, and that is not me, so I am in the wrong place. Food is horrible. The room is very, very adequate. Sanitation is fine. The staff is adequate. The residents are not very interesting, and most of them are boring. They take anybody who has a checkbook; they take money and they don't care. The admittance policy is seriously flawed. As a matter of fact, the executive director is so much of a ghost, you never see him.

I found Atria to be very nice. I liked the accommodations and the staff. I thought it was great. The mix of residents, male versus female, white versus black, and the overall medical conditions of the population were better. I enjoyed my visit there.

We've been to a number of facilities and one of them is Atria Lynbrook. The facility is very nice and I have been very satisfied with the tour. The staff are very pleasant, polite, very welcoming. They were very willing to help. I saw a studio room and it was alright. With their activities, I think they have a full schedule of things going on. They have movies, card games, and the residents are taken to places several times a week if they want to go. They also provide three meals a day.

Atria Lynbrook was a very good facility. The staff were very helpful and very compassionate. For that small amount of time and for a visit of two hours, I can say that they are very good. I think they offer activities for the residents. I would not mind living at this facility someday.

My mom had more therapy in a nursing home, and then she was able to rehab herself to the ability where she could walk, especially to be able to care for herself in an assisted living. We were directed to Atria Lynbrook by some people in the nursing home and we toured it. It's absolutely fabulous. The food was very good, the accommodations are good and my mom seems very happy. She was living in her own home by herself. So here, there's a nice sense of community. There's socialization, activities, and all those things we feel will be life extending for my mother. But they could improve administratively and be a little more clearer about charges and the billing. We had some misunderstanding when the bill was due and how to pay.

Atria is very nice but beyond what I could afford. The building was lovely and the outside was as well. The area where you would eat was very nice. But the people I saw there seemed very old and not too lively. They were just sitting and didn't seem to be talking to each other which was a negative.

Thank you for your review. I'm glad you found our community to be pleasant, and I apologize that you did not get to see our residents during their active social activities. We have more than 200 events each month, including exercise classes at least five days per week, gatherings to discuss history and current events, concerts, Sunday socials, themed parties, and special outings. Our residents seem to enjoy all of the get-togethers, but we also respect their need for downtime when they would rather rest or have some time to themselves. We are happy to provide a monthly calendar any time, and I hope that you will visit us again soon and perhaps join us for one of our great events! If we can be of any assistance to you at any time, please contact us at customerservice@atriaseniorliving.com and be sure to include the Atria community name in your subject line.

I honestly believe that Atria Senior Living provides excellent care for the elderly. The staff is very helpful and really seemed to care about the individual needs of each patient. We were seated outside for the majority of my visits and one of the staff members went out of her way to wheel my grandma outside. She even was considerate enough to make sure she got a spot in the shade, because she knows my grandma dislikes too much heat/sun. I did not sample the food, but I've only heard good things about the quality/variety that they offer. Overall the facility is very large and they have a nice garden. It is conveniently located near a pond/wildlife so there is no reason for the members to be cooped up inside all day, unless it is very cold. I really care about my grandma and I trust that she is being well taken care of in the Atria Senior Living in Lynbrook. The only downside is that I feel assisted living is expensive and I'm not sure how the average elderly person could afford it.
