The award is the presented by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL). Applicants who receive the Award are able to describe their mission, characteristics, key challenges and to recognize the relationship of these factors to the best of their ability to achieve performance improvement. The Award recognizes that the facility has developed a foundation to begin a journey of continuous quality improvement.
