Avoid this facility. Overall, very bad experience being a patient. Food was close to unedible, - very unhealthy. No phone in room, clock and TV didn't work. Unable to get pain med until more than 24 hours after arriving. Call bells not answered until often more than an hour. Laundry lost my one pair of pants. Very noisy at night, unable to sleep. Seemed short staffed. Many staff had poor English. Sent 3-4 bills that were inaccurate even after calling multiple time to correct issue, only corrected after legal intervention was suggested. A few staff were kind and helpful, however this facility is poorly managed and obviously more concerned about cutting corners to save money than patient care.

My husband slid out of his wheelchair today on to the floor. He is unable to stand or walk for himself. Not one person has called to notify me of this happening. Being his wife I would think that this is one of the first things you would do. I’m sick of the way they do things there. The rooms are small for bariatric people that have large wheelchairs.

My mom came to this center for short term rehab. She was suppose to have a special medical equipment there for her the day she arrived, three days after being there I went to visit and the receptionist said my mom had a package at her desk but I was not obligated to deliver it to my mother but to just let the nurse know . I went over and looked at the box and it was the medical equipment that my mother was suppose to have on her the day she arrived . My mother became very sick and they sent her to cmc and cmc called social services on them because they could tell they were not giving my mom ant care at all . I would NEVER recommend sending anyone here . They left her on the toilet for 2 hours and never got her out of bed . Didn't check on her or walk her . This place is a disgrace to Ithaca or rehab centers in general..

they are the worse place to have a loved one stay the staff is rude they dont care for the there clients, they let them sit in feces, they refuse to come to the clients rooms when called . also they cause people to die sooner than wanted , they refuse medical treatment to clients that clearly need it and than they act like its no big deal. worse-less place to send your loved ones . i will never ever recommend this place to any of my family or friends

I visited this place several times when a family member stayed there after a fall. Most of the staff seemed nice and caring. I observed one doctor who roughly mishandled a patient with an injured shoulder. The food was beyond terrible, nothing fresh, few vegetables or fruits, loads of unpalatable carbs, white bread and mashed potatoes. There are way too few staff members for the number of patients. Calls were never answered promptly, waits of nearly an hour for patients needed a bedpan. No side rails to beds, someone we knew broke an arm falling out of a bed.

Grandfather is here right down due to a fall. Doctor wants him to be looked after Incase he falls and do rehab to strengthen his legs. Currently in beech tree visiting. Pressed the red button and have been waiting for 50 minutes. Even stepped out to ask for someone in which case they replied "someone will be there in a few minutes" I almost think he'll be safer at home. Alone. Atleast he's comfortable there and knows the environment. No one here to assist yet in nearly 1 hour, I'm worried if he falls and presses the red button. What good would that do?

I had a family member stay for rehab. The rehab was excellent and the staff was very caring.
