Appleridge Senior Living is sort of like hotel living. It's a large facility, but they have a lot of rooms there. There's a pool table and they have a big TV. I didn't meet any of the staff other than to ask for directions to the person's room I was going to visit. I know people from my church that live there, and they seem reasonably content with how they're treated.

Appleridge Senior Living was lovely. There were a lot of amenities that would service my personality. They had excellent services and dining. They were open to activities, they had an arts and crafts room, and a fitness group that got together to do low-impact stretching. The apartments were lovely and spacious. There are a lot of windows. They were very helpful, charming, polite, and willing to help. The meal plan seemed to be very generous. The price per day and the meal plan was a monthly fee and you get lunch and dinner. Then the breakfast came out of the buffet or you could go to the dining room and order breakfast for an extra charge of $10. The facility was fairly new. It was very clean. I went to three sections of the building, which included the recreation areas as well as the dining and lobbies. I went to three different styles of suites that you could rent. I looked at a one-bedroom, a one-bedroom with a den, and a two-bedroom. I met one of the residents and had a nice conversation with her in the hall. They had very comfortable, overstuffed chairs and seating groups in the hallway areas so you didn't have to entertain in your rooms. You could meet people out in the hall or sit down and play some games together.

Dad liked Appleridge very much. They had garages that my dad could keep his car in. It was very close to their Church, he could go to other places that he was familiar with like the grocery store, the activities that they had were comparable, and they would be near people that they know. My sister lives right there, and it is fairly close to myself and to my brother, but then they would have to travel two hours to Rochester to come to Rochester to see specialists, so that is the problem.

My parents moved here the summer of 2014. My father died suddenly just 3 short months later. The staff and residents have been wonderful. Security is excellent. They are caring and compassionate; always making sure the resident is safe and comfortable. My mom is surrounded by people who care and offer gentle advice. It is really helping her get through the loss and put one foot in front of the other. Beautiful apartments and common areas.

While the appearance of this place is clean and nice, the attention and care given to the residents and their family members is poor at best. Lots of lip service no action and very poor communication to concerned family members. Food is also terrible.

CLEAN,FRIENDLY. WE have an apartment at the end of the hall with many windows and a beautiful view over the hills of southern New York state. We are moving in April. Contact me again and I will let you know about the food. I am looking forward to not cooking!

Appleridge was a very homey facility. You walk in and there's a fireplace in the sitting room. It's very cozy and comfortable. The dining room was spectacular. Everything was clean. Everything was professional and very upscale-looking. The staff was very friendly. I only saw one apartment and I thought it was beautiful. They have their own stuff in there.
