Atria Park of Great Neck is the best in terms of cleanliness, level of care, and professionalism. They're top-notch. My father's been there for two weeks now and I visited him many times. The only problem he complains about is the lack of Chinese-speaking staff over there. They have someone who is Chinese, but there's only one and she's also the nurse supervisor. So, I don't want her to be bogged down by this question because she has her duty already. Beyond that, his room is OK. The environment is nice. This place is good. As far as the staff, I don't have much to complain about. They are pretty good. I haven't seen the meals up close because they don't allow family in the dining room but the setting is very good. They escort my father to the dining room for three meals. So, he has enough exposure, including the trip to the dining room, activities, and all that. The facility itself, compared to the other places I visited, is very clean. There's no smell in the air. They're relatively new, in fact, compared to other places. I was there the other day and I've seen their activity that involves the whole residency. They try and the participation from the residents is good (if they can participate). People who do not have the mental or physical capacity, are present, but they don't necessarily have people to help them really to fully enjoy the environment. It's pretty expensive. If there is something that can be improved, that would be the cost side, but I don't think that's something wrong. There's a slight delay in their response to someone who presses the request button, but it's minor. If they could allow my father to have an electric wheelchair, it would probably help him some, because he is not fully mobile on one side so a regular wheelchair is not all that useful, but they don't allow it. He has to be moved around by a person. They respond to requests like "Can I get a better bed for him to get out?" and they ordered a hospital bed for him. So that helped. I asked whether they could get a better seat cushion because he is not able to sit in a regular wheelchair for a long time and they respond to that sort of thing. They're minor things. I don't think it's a big deal.

Atria Park of Great Neck was very well maintained, and it was pretty brand new. They had just renovated the whole place. So, it was very fresh and clean, and very well staffed. Overall, the facility was very, very nice. They had painting classes and different medication departments. The medical staff that gives prescription medication, had a special little room for that. The yard and the balcony were nice with flowers. It was very pretty.

It would be hard to find a better group of caregivers. Their patience and kindness were immeasurable. Everyone of the staff members knew my husband by name and I felt they really cared about his well being.

My father-in-law is staying at Atria Park of Great Neck for respite. This place caters to people who are more associated with the English language and the English way of living, that they can communicate and then get around somewhat. He will not know which direction he's faced, and he will not know how to speak the language. So the care or help will never be up to par as far as we are concerned. The reason we chose that community was because they accepted the two week stay, while everybody else wants a minimum of a month. He is picked up from his room to go to breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and they give his medicine twice a day. They promised laundry services, but when I went back there after eight days, the laundry was not done. If I would be the one staying there, it was like a five-star hotel, but someone like my father-in-law won't enjoy the attribute it offers. The staff is helpful when I call, but it seems like it goes on deaf ears. Because sometimes when I call, it goes from one person to another and it gets lost in the mix. There's plenty of stuff to engage in, if someone would be able to appreciate it. It had a computer room, exercise room, activities during the day like bingo. The place in general, outside the corridor, the halls, everything like the dining room, everything's clean. But when I visited him, his towel's not changed, the laundry was not done, and nobody did any wiping of any kind whatsoever. They could improve on providing more personal care.

We visited Atria Park of Great Neck. I was already familiar with Atria, their structure, and the way they do things because my mom lived in Atria many years ago. Except for the COVID type stuff, it really hasn't changed very much. The place was lovely. It was really nice. The facilities themselves were nice. If somebody is looking for a residence where their mom or dad or whoever their family member is needs more physical care (let's say they're wheelchair bound, they use a walker or they require a cane), it seemed as though that place was good for that. It almost seemed as though they catered to those type of residents, and my mother-in-law is not at that state yet. She's able to walk without a cane. It just seems as though the residents weren't as physically well as she is. It was very nice. The staff was very knowledgeable. She showed us everything we wanted to see. She answered all of our questions. The building is very nice, it's well kept up. It was renovated within the last several years. One of the things I did not like about it, and I guess this could be true of a lot of places, I didn't like the floorplan itself at the residence hall. They were shaped like either a rounded M or a rounded E, and we thought that that was going to be confusing in terms of being able to find that elevator. And in Atria, the closer you are to the elevators, the higher the price is per square foot. It's like they turn a resident's disadvantage into their advantage. I understand why they do it, but I just didn't like it. My mother-in-law gets very easily confused. I didn't want her to start off her residence in a place where she felt confused.

Atria Park of Great Neck was the second place we saw. It was very nice. The only thing that I think was a drawback is that they don't have an outdoor seating space, just like a little concrete area where you could sit and you overlook traffic, so it's a little noisy if you're sitting outside. Other than that, the place is lovely. I thought that the person who gave us the tour was lovely. The few people that we met that work there were lovely also, very helpful. It seemed like everything was very calm. Everyone was very caring. So I thought that was nice. The place is immaculately clean, which we've always appreciated. They just underwent a big renovation. It's magnificent. It's brand new.

I couldn’t be happier with the staff at the Atria, as well as the cleanliness of the facility. They have numerous activities for their residents and really care about making them happy and keeping them safe at the same time. I couldn’t be happier that I chose the Atria!

My mother has been living at the Atria Park in Great Neck for the last two years. The apartment she has is very comfortable. All of the staff and aides are wonderful, friendly, smiling. They know the residents by name and are helpfull. Having said that, I must say that the dining room staff is a different subject. The serving staff (not all of them) are quite rude. They DO NOT listen . The food has also changed, from good to inedlble. This matter should be addressed Promptly. Thank you for listening.

My mother has been a resident since November 2019. She has her own small apartment with a small kitchenette. The staff, housekeeping, maintainence, food service etc. are kind and caring to the residents and visiting family members. There is a wonderful Nurse Practicioner, Grace, who does her best to keep the residents healthy. The Wellness team is efficient and addresses concerns in a timely manner. The resident director, Coleen, and her administrative team's priority is the safety of all of the residents. Katie, the Engage Life Director, does her best to offer programs and entertainment to stimulate and please everyone. My mother was so happy that the entertainment and the creative arts programs are back in place. She is looking forward to signing up for a sight seeing car ride in the future. I highly recommend Atria Park of Great Neck.

I toured Atria Park of Great Neck. It's very clean and bright. The public rooms were well kept and inviting, and the apartments were very nice. The staff was personable and very helpful. It's close to the train station and opposite a very nice little shopping mall. It's a very walkable area.

My father is in Atria of Great Neck, its very nice, newly renovated, but overpriced. Hes in the memory care part, we had a room change, and I didnt like that. The staff is great, but the lady I talked to was unqualified for the financial part.

Atria Great Neck is close to me, which is important since my mother has dementia, and clean. The people are good. There are plenty of activities going on all day long. Everything is really nice. It’s a very clean, new room.

Everybody was nice at Atria. The rooms are very small, one bedroom, and clean. I didn’t see many residents, but when they leave the place they had to let them know they’re leaving. The staff seemed like they really care. They said they had activities but I didn’t see much going on, and they didn’t have a proper exercise room. It was kind of depressing.

Atria is well kept and expensive. The rooms were fantastic, large, and well laid out. The people running it were very helpful. This was our second choice because of the distance, and my father would have gladly stayed there if not for that. They had a lot of amenities, like a workout area, and the restaurant was great.

We took my mother to places, and she loved Great Neck. She saw the activity of the streets and the stores, and she still had flexibility if she wanted to go out. Her bank was across the street which she was very happy about. They had excellent attention to detail, the tour was very informative, and she happened to have liked the studio apartment. The thing that we liked about the activities was that there was always something going on from the time she got up and had breakfast until the end of the day. They had movies. We were very impressed with the dining room. Just overall, it was like being in a hotel, and it was more upbeat. My sister and I loved the fact that they had this thing called news and schmooze, which they hold at about 10:00 or 10:30 where all the residents participate down in a round robin thing. They read the newspaper, and then they have a discussion on the world events, which is what she needs, because she is alone most of the day, she doesn't talk to anyone, and when she had a memory check, she did not know what year it was.

Atria was very nice but when we got down to the nitty gritty, it’s just too expensive. They offer a lot of things like they supply transportation for you, they have a barber shop and a beauty salon but the price is very high and we just can’t afford that. But they were very accommodating and were extremely nice. We met the cook and a matter of fact they gave us a little cake; it was good. They had a taxi pick us up and take us to the place. It’s a clean, big facility and more home-like.

I visited The Atria, but my aunt is not ready, so at least I got a feel for what it's like. I like this location because it's in a busy area and she can walk around and be in more of a city environment. It was wonderful. The gentleman was very nice and the place is very nice. Everything was wonderful, but if I am to consider something, this would be the place because it's close to my house. The entire area is convenient and the prices were pretty much the same. They have a special where if you commit to a one-bedroom unit, it would be $4,000 instead of $5,500 or $6,000 for one year. This was very attractive.

Atria was beautiful. They had entertainment and things to keep their people busy. They were a bit more pricey than the other one I visited, but they offered quite a few more amenities.

Atria Great Neck was good for my relative during the time that she stayed there. Their location was very convenient for us. Their rooms were nice. They were cleaned once a week. At the time, she didn't require so much care. However, her level of care has increased and unfortunately, Atria couldn't provide that care for her. We have to move her to another facility. With that being said, maybe a more personalized attention to their residents is something that they can improve on. Nevertheless, for someone who is needing a less intense level of care, Atria would be fine.

While visiting this facility I felt the staff did a good job responding to the needs of the residents. Although I have not experienced many facilities prior to this, it seemed to be a facility where it was comfortable placing a family member and visiting. The amenities were well kept and provided a comfortable environment for both resident and guests. I saw no negatives with this establishment and if faced with a choice of placing another family member in such an establishment, I would chose Atia. Additionally, there was ample parking and visiting was an ease. It encourages visitors to come frequently even though generally assisted living establishments may be uncomfortable to visit. The establishment had excellent visiting hours and was close to home. My aunt was resistant about staying here initially but came to love it. She made many friends and is still there today, seeming more active than ever.

This was a nice facility. The staff was very hospitable and the conditions of the facility were exceedingly above those of the others facilities we visited during our time france two years ago. I would recommend both the facility and the location.
