I would give it a MINUS star rating if I could. Understaffed means serious care issues. If you need help for any reason, you can push that call button forever and get no response. Alone at night (except for snoring roomate), I had a broken hip, and was unable to move without help. I finally got someone to help me to the bathroom ( lifted to wheelchair), and then they left me there. I was there in terrific pain for so long I almost passed out. Horrible food, and very dirty room. Someone went thru my purse when I was at P.T. Nasty place to go, right when you need care the most!

I was there for 6 weeks, worst experience of my life, from the uncaring staff to the worst food I've ever eaten on a daily basis.how they are not shut down is amazing.

I was sent there by some incompetent person from glens falls hospital who I believe had a monetary interest in that decision because I needed rehab from surgery not a nursing home. the facility is dirty,no one knew why I was there. Care is none existing. I had to do almost everything by myself, empty pee bottle etc. Fresh water is also unavailable My water pitcher was 2 days old. I can go on but you get The point I was able to document most everything in my short stay

The staff is pretty good with the patients if you can catch them off their phones long enough. Most of them seem more preoccupied with playing on their phones then anything. I would think this would be a rule to prohibit phone use while at work unless on break. It’s very unprofessional and doesn’t give the patients proper care. Rooms are ok. Staff were mostly ok if they weren’t sneaking off to use their phone. Over all staff was friendly and kind to patients. Could be a little cleaner.

Undoubtedly the WORST , most disgusting place I have ever dealt with in my life. The staff is unprofessional and do not care for the well being of the patient. HORRIBLE COMMUNICATIONS with family members. Staff members lie about all aspects of care. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to this location. Food is disgusting Cleanliness is non-existent Security of patients is questionable. In conclusion, this location should be investigated immediately for severe noncompliance issues.

The Pines Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center Olean is a really nice place for people to be. It's clean, and the workers seemed very nice. The people seemed very concerned for their residents, and they're friendly. The layout seems easy to get around, like they are all on one floor, and it seems like a very clean place. It's located near stores and restaurants, and it is one-to-two miles away from a hospital.

Rooms are small. Most CNAs are helpful if you can EVER get one to answer your call button. I was unable to get help when I needed it. I was in great pain, and left unattended in the bathroom. Someone should be aware of the true lack of concern from Management all the way down the line. They are over-worked, and under-staffed.

I got the chance to visit the The Pines and the place was actually nice. They have very nice facilities and amenities. The people who helped me tour the place was nice and responsive. The interaction with the staff and residents was just fine. The place was clean and well-kept and have recreational area. The residents seems enjoy being there. It just so happened my mom was not ready yet to go to a nursing facility. But most likely, I will consider The Pines as one of my choice.
