My parents moved to Holiday Maple Downs. It's very nice. They both enjoy it there. They like the surroundings. They like what the place provides, and access to things, and they like it well. Of the two staff members I met, one was like an assistant director and I can't think if the other one was kind of an associate, but they knew the place they talked about, everything with what the place provides for services, and everything. They knew people's names. They're integrated into the system, which is very good. I've eaten there one time when I went down there, I enjoyed it. It was good. My father eats there pretty much every day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. My mother might have lunch or dinner. They both like the food that they're getting served and everything. They have all different options to choose from. So that gives them the variety of what they would like to do. They haven't explored all the activities yet more or less with my mother's help, she doesn't get down there but when I walked around with my father, they had a nice game room, pool table, game board cards, and everything like that. They had that little mini movie theater. They have a little place where you can do bingo. There was another card room where people were playing cards and everything. They had a little pond there. So they have a lot of outdoor things to walk around with and a lot of indoor things too. I don't think my mother has gone to the beauty salon yet but having that on site was another good feature.

We toured Holiday Maple Downs. We were very impressed with the facilities. My wife was impressed with the dining capabilities there, and we were happy with the size of the room and also the way that the folks seemed to be. They were comfortable where they were. There was a refrigerator and a stove. There was a small kitchen. The staff was very knowledgeable and we liked him. They have a walkway all the way around, and outside, there are also plenty of parking spaces, and my wife said there's a nice balcony.

I toured the Holiday Maple Downs independent living and it was very nice and definitely adequate. The staff was very pleasant and very helpful. They told me all about the place, the facilities, and what's available there. The facilities were very nice, adequate, and very pleasant. The rooms were a little smaller than I would like but the layout was adequate.

I went to look at Holiday Maple Downs. I was greeted by the woman who was the sales manager. We walked through the facility and we saw the activities. I got to look at three different apartments that they would offer for singles. We toured the grounds and everything was wonderful. The staff members were outstanding. All of the rooms seemed to have a balcony, or at least some access to the outside, which I thought was very nice. The facility was clean. They were upgrading rooms as people left, which was very nice.

My tour experience of Holiday Maple Downs was nice. It was clean. It looked like a nice place to live. The staff who gave the tour was friendly and knowledgeable. The apartments were nice. I saw their dining area and it looked nice. It seemed like it would be good food.

Holiday Maple Downs was very expensive, very, very posh, and very nice. The food was excellent. Everything seemed wonderful, but not for my mother. The staff who gave the tour was very nice. He was a good guy. The dining area was beautiful.

Holiday Maple Downs was near the VA and it was a little higher end, which is what my brother was looking for. The food seemed pretty decent. And the people were very, very nice. Plus, it was possible to upgrade to more care if needed. The staff who toured me took a lot of time, and she was very patient with our questions. She was very nice. We had lunch there, and it was good. They had an exercise room and a walking path. They repainted and carpeted every room when it was empty. It looked very clean. In terms of location, it's near everything. There are restaurants and shopping. And because it was like 8 miles from the VA, they would be able to shuttle my brother there, so it was very good.

We went to Holiday Maple Downs. It is an independent living, but you can pay a third party to come in, that's why we looked at it. They were fantastic. It's a nice place and very clean. They have tons of activities. It seemed like a great place to live. They had bus rides to events. They had entertainers come in, cooking classes and rides to the casino. The list of things that they had was endless. The staff was very willing to help and kind. The rooms were very nice. It was beautifully decorated. It was exceptional.

We are starting to move into Holiday Maple Downs today. We're having a one-bedroom apartment, which is just quite small. One of the things why we chose it is because we can take our little puppy dog, who I'm very attached to. It's a very friendly place. I know that I will have a sense of community there. The staff is very friendly. There's plenty of open spaces for everybody to congregate, and so we're not going to be sitting in our room day in and day out. We're going to be participating in activities and be in common areas. There's an exercise center as well. We'll be eating in the dining area with others. The atmosphere is incredibly friendly and it is well kept up. There's plenty of opportunities to be involved in activities and to meet other people.

Holiday Maple Downs was awesome. It was beautiful. I looked at three rooms and they were good, but the bathtub was a problem. I could go into the bathroom of the one-bedroom, but I don't think I could be able to turn around my wheelchair. It was a little on the small side, but for a normal person, it was gorgeous. If you want assistance, you could pay for it. They had music, art, and religious activities like they did the rosary and the priest would come in. There's so much. I think it would be hard to choose in one day to do something. It was good. The staff was so pleasant. They were very good. I could ask questions and I got answers and they treated me with respect. Pressure sales and stuff like that would make you feel bad and they did not do that.

I didn't find anything that was bad at Holiday Maple Downs. I was just over there for Veterans Day. The program was very interactive and very highly participated in by the residents. It was not just a few of us there. I would say like a good 60 people were there. They invited me over, because I'm a veteran myself. The place was clean. The residents seemed happy. I liked the activities director, Michelle. The lady that gave me the tour was actually the one who invited me there, and she was comprehensive and very detailed. The dining area looked pretty comprehensive to me, too. They allowed you to look at the menu. They had a courtyard patio and nice grounds. The appearance of the outside equally matched the appearance on the inside. I toured the different levels of rooms. You could get more square footage, less square footage, and what you needed. They were clean. They were getting ready to do major renovations on the upgrade of the carpet and things like that. They're getting ready to do it in the halls as it needed some updating and maintenance.

Holiday Maple Downs was a lovely facility. It's been updated. We had lunch there and saw several different rooms, and it was wonderful. It was bright and had pleasant people. They happened to have an ice cream social that day, so a lot of the residents were out front. The lady that toured us was excellent. She followed up on the visit and answered all the questions. The dining area was very nice, too. It was clean, and the dining staff was nice. It wasn't hard to find or get to. A lot of the apartments have patios off of the units themselves. They have a hairdresser and a grand room with a piano and all that.

As soon as you walk in at Maple Downs you want to stay. It's fantastic. I saw all the rooms, the exercise room, game room, computer room, briefing room, and everything. I saw their two-bedroom apartments and it was amazing. The young ladies that showed me around, they were so nice. I met a lot of the residents that lived there, and everybody was so cheerful and happy. It's like they wanted you to stay. They have all the programs and everything was right. I saw the dining room that was all set up like it was a fancy restaurant, and I saw the snack bar in another room where all day long you can have coffee or pastries or some fruit.

My mother is at Maple Downs. It's a very nice community and very appealing to look at. They're very helpful and very friendly. The food looked good, too. They have movies, bingo, activities for physical health, and they send out puzzles for them. During this COVID, it made it more difficult for them to do a lot of that stuff, but it's a nice place to be. They would clean the apartment, and if you use their linens, they will wash the linens and stuff for you. So, it's quite nice.

Maple Downs would have been my first choice for my mother. They're a little more independent. The people were so friendly, from the tenants to the staff. The tenants engaged us in conversation. The manager said to them that mom was touring and she might possibly become a neighbor, and they said, "Oh come, we'd love to have you as a neighbor," and they chatted with her a little bit. It was just very friendly, and it made a huge impression. I would have picked that place if it were me, but it's farther away from her doctors than mom wants to be. There's even more walking there than the other place. There's only one elevator, and that was a big problem for mom because she has issues with her knees, but they have tons of seating where people can sit to rest if they need to on the way. The prices of the apartments change. They were higher the closer you get to the elevator. The staff was wonderful. It was St. Patrick's Day and they had different choices of hot food, and it was like dining in a restaurant. The staff was very helpful and professional. It reminded me of when I went on a cruise and everybody was stumbling over themselves to help you. If my mom could handle stairs more, it would've been better, but stairs are tough. It's absolutely gorgeous.

The tour of Maple Downs was very nice, the lady was very helpful, and there was no pushing for time or anything. We were there for over an hour, it was very relaxed, as far as I know we saw everything and asked all the questions we had at the time. The rooms were nice. My wife thought they were small, but I think they were pretty good -- at the very least the average size. It was a one-bedroom with a larger bedroom, and there were two different sizes of the one-bedroom. The dining area was very, very nice. It was somewhat restricted due to COVID, but there were people having lunch when we were there. They evidently have a system set up where they rotate which guests used the dining room each day. The thing we liked was that at different times of year, there are plenty of outdoor walks and trails, which, the day we were there, were shoveled and salted, ready for use. There are three classes the lady mentioned that the residents take in the community room, and it sounded like there's plenty of that.

My husband and I went Maple Downs. It's a wonderful, wonderful facility but it was a little far, so we ended up in another community. We were able to go inside, and it was absolutely wonderful and phenomenal. The woman that took us on a tour showed us several rooms, all of the amenities and explained to us exactly how the program worked. When we walked in, there was an older gentleman playing the piano, and we thought it was a piped-in music, it was just so beautiful. Everyone there just looked so happy and so content. They were actually having a birthday party for one of the clients, and we got to see what was going on with the birthday party in it. It sounds to me as though, they are very attentive to their clients, and they really fulfill the client's needs because you could just tell every single person has a smile on their faces so it's just beautiful. The people who worked there too seemed to be very invested in the people that have come in to live there. The rooms are beautiful and clean. One of the rooms was a kinda like a studio apartment, which was a little smaller, but then she showed us into a 1-bedroom apartment as well, absolutely beautiful. Even the smaller rooms would have been plenty enough for a single person, just absolutely lovely. My sister is ambulatory, they just found out that she has a broken hip, it's fractured, so they really can't do anything. That's why we went more towards the other community because it is a more assisted living facility. No meals at all. Actually, it was right when they were being very stringent about the COVID rule of 2, so I think that may have had something to do with it, but from what I understand, the meals are quite tasty. We didn't meet with a lot of the staff but the staff that we met with, the person that took us on the tour, she was outstanding. The facilities are absolutely phenomenal.

Maple Downs had some outdoor space that I would enjoy, and I like the whole atmosphere. The staff was very accommodating, very friendly, and showed me several apartments. The dining area was very nice. Their lunch was the big meal for the day, and it was a little skimpy. It was fine for lunch, but I expect a little bit more for dinner.

Maple Downs was wonderful; it was beautiful. I don't think you could ask for anything more. I think anybody would feel comfortable placing their relative or a family member there. Maple Downs is absolutely beautiful. They have a library, a TV room, and a room where they have church. They have a beautiful dining hall. They also have a place to stay for relatives who might want to come and stay there. I was shocked actually because I expected it to be nice, but I didn't expect it to be that nice. For the short time I was there I got to know the staff; everybody was very friendly.

I thought Maple Downs was wonderful. I would live there. It is very nice and it's a beautiful place. The people are friendly and it is a wonderful experience. I couldn't understand why my friend wouldn't go there. She said she had lived there before for a long time and she didn't want to go back. However, it is a wonderful place and I would recommend it. They provide three meals, social activities, and transportation. They also have aides if need be, but you have to pay an additional charge for that. I only met a very few people there and everybody was very pleasant. They showed me a studio, a 1-bedroom, and a 2-bedroom. The room is lovely and very nice, especially for one person. It's spacious, but it's not overwhelming. It's enough so that you can have your heavy furniture and the things that mean a lot to you. It is a very homey atmosphere.

Maple Downs seemed really good, but with my limitations, it doesn’t fit me. The recreation area was big; it was spacious with a lot of chairs, and a lot of the residents were sitting and talking and visiting with each other, which seemed nice. We went there basically around lunch time; we went down to their meal preparation thing, and everybody was in there eating, and it looked great. Everything looked good. Everything was clean, neat, and all the equipment seemed to be in great shape. The people that I saw all seemed to be well-taken care of and enjoying themselves.

We actually liked the Maple Downs. It would have been really great for my mother to stay in if she didn't have dementia. I thought it was a great place: the people were terrific, the food was great, the amenities were great, and the apartment she had was amazing. The value was great, and I have nothing negative to say about it. I understand why they kicked her out. She was wrecking havoc because she couldn't live on her own. They did have a service in the facility with which you could contract. They would go and make sure she would have her medicine, but her problem was she'd wander. She was disruptive and wandering over to other people's property and taking their stuff. It's clear that it was a senior living facility where you have to have your faculties. My best friend's mother-in-law is there, and she loves it. They do a great job, and that's why she loves it. It's one of the best places you could possibly put your parent in.

They were very accommodating in Maple Downs. They seemed to have a lot of interactions with the residents, and staff knew people by name. The residents seemed very pleased. My mom moved in August of this year and has seemed to have adjusted very well. She has a lot of friends and activites to do. She’s harder to get a hold of, so I guess that’s a good sign!

It was very nice looking inside, and it's a brand new facility. There was one lady I've met with who gave me a tour. However, independent living was too much for my mother. It was a beautiful establishment, and I would recommend Maple Downs if somebody wanted independent living. The one room I saw was clean, and the staff was accommodating.

One of the places I visited was Maple Downs. The settings were nice. The rooms were nice. The people seemed well cared for, but they weren't suited for my needs. The sales person who was the only one that I had interaction with was extremely well versed in what he was doing. I had lunch there. It was fine and well done. They had activities like movies and field trips. They had a variety of things that people could do if they chose. They had help buttons in each room. I was very impressed with it. I liked it a lot. It was just wasn't for my needs. I do not need that yet. However, it was a little far away from my family.
