Our experience with Long Island Living Center has been good. They've been very nice, and they're doing a good job with my brother. They keep them busy. They treated my brother decently, and they treated me very nicely when I was there. I had lunch there and it was fine, and the price was right.

I toured the Long Island Living Center. The place needs updating. The food looked very good. They provide a kosher meal. The staff was very good. They were accommodating, communicative, and willing to show me different settings. They gave me the handouts of the facility. It was very clean. It didn't have a hospital smell.

My father is now at Long Island Living Center. The facility is adequate. My father is in a private room. It's clean. It's painted. It's adequate. The staff is pretty helpful. The value for money is worth it because my father gets three meals a day, they do his laundry, and they take care of him.

Long Island Living Center was what I expected. It was a professional assisted living place. It was clean, well managed, and people were just left alone, walking around on their own. People were basically being attended to. The person who was there was very kind and was able to take me around to see what was going on and see the place, look at the rooms, and the availability. They have plenty of things for the residents to be comfortable and occupied. They have a room where they can play pool or do arts and crafts, listen to music, and they have an actual theater where they have movie nights on Thursday nights. So, that caught my interest in the fact that they keep them busy. Everybody seemed comfortable. I went at a time when they were actually being fed during lunch, and they all looked happy. They had a nice mixed community, which is what I wanted my sister and my brothers to be in someday. They're perfectly comfortable in a mixed community and it was perfect from what I saw.

When I was doing the tour at Long Island Living Center, they showed me the area where they hang out to watch movies. They play dominoes and chess. They said they try to make sure the patients are not always in their room. They try to make them interact. The staff was nice. She told me all about the places and everything that goes on in the community. She talked about the three meals a day, and then if they want snacks, there's an area for snacks. You can also bring in food for family members. It's more secure. The dining area looked clean. It had a lot of space and different sections in the room. They do the laundry for you. I saw the single-bedroom apartment. There's a bathroom in the room. There's a heating system and a landline phone there too.

Long Island Living Center was convenient and very friendly. It had everything that my aunt wanted. The first impression I had was that everything was clean and welcoming. It had a family style of living. It didn't have an institutional feel and everyone there seemed to be considerate and family-oriented. Everyone from the front counter who was informative, and patient, to the woman who gave us the tour and gave us the information that we needed, were very friendly and all the residents seemed to have a family feel and seemed relatable. We saw the eating area. It's restaurant style. It's clean and everyone was approachable and it was just somewhere where you would want to reside.

I had an in-person tour of Long Island Living Center. The staff was very courteous. When I came there, she had my name and gave me a pamphlet with the information. I noticed the seniors who were there were relaxed. They had a room for gathering as well as an open space for them. They have a lot of freedom to walk around in the facility. The staff told me that the best suggestion for my mom, and I appreciate her giving me that information, would be a nursing hospice because of my mom's condition. I was grateful that she even referred me to one of the sites, which I did call, and they had to call me back. They were very hospitable and honest. The seniors that I saw looked like they were well cared for. The place was clean. The room was an open space and clean.

What I liked best about Long Island Living Center was just about everything. For me, it was very important that my father would be able to have some autonomy over his life, and they allow for that opportunity, so he would have a lot more freedom than he's allotted in the moment. He would be able to access fresh air. He could choose the activities that he wanted to participate in during the day. He would be exposed to a very diverse culture of individuals, which I also appreciated. There are individuals who are in wheelchairs similar to him, but there are also individuals who are walking. The fact that he would be able to go outside and maybe shop for himself is another feature of the establishment that I really liked. I love the aesthetic of its set up. It looks like an apartment building. Everything was clean. I didn't see any rodents or any indication of infestation, which made me very happy as well. I absolutely adore the coordinator. It seems like she really has connected with the residents who spoke to her during my tour. Everyone was happy to see her. All of it was wonderful for me to experience.

The person giving us the tour at Long Island Living Center was very friendly, personable, and very nice. However, the place was in a very substandard condition. The particular room they took us to had linen that was old, wrinkled, and faded. The ceiling had peeling paint. It was not that great. Then we walked to the cafeteria and the fruit cups were just sitting there. So, that was the impression that I had, that it was not a place I would want my sister to be. It looked unkempt and the furniture looked damaged.

Long Island Living Center was good and in a great price range. It's clean and neat. The staff were very accommodating and answered all my questions. Yolanda engaged with the other residents as we were passing through the hallways. She was very polite and pleasant. I saw people in the coffee lounge and something was going on in the art room. Sometimes, a lot of these homes for elderly people do not have a great smell, but Long Island Living Center smelled perfectly clean throughout all the hallways. They do your laundry, they do housekeeping, they have food, a pool table, a movie theater, and an outside gated area for them to walk around if they want to. So, I was very pleased with the place and they were very accommodating with my financial situation. I only saw the two occupancies with the two beds. It was small, but it's still neat and clean.

My first impression of Long Island Living Center is it's like a rehab or a hospital setting where you're in a shared room, although the amenities, the housekeeping, the meals, and social events and stuff like that are included. It's like a group setting type thing. Everything was clean and neat. It was a nice overall atmosphere, although I was expecting more of a residential atmosphere where you have your own kitchen. This was my first time touring a place like that, so I didn't know what to expect. The staff member during the tour answered my questions. She was very friendly, very cordial, open for any questions, and invited me back. She was great. They had the social room and there were people in there. The artwork displayed that the residents did were really nice. They had a library area, a common area, and a snack area. The dining room is strictly kosher, but they had a separate area where you can eat non-kosher food, and there were snacks available. The big thing for me was that they had a theater. If the family comes you can all have popcorn and look at a movie privately. The furniture, the linen, and the bedspreads were outdated. The rooms could be updated.

I did a tour of Long Island Living Center. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. They seem to be organized and have a system in place in terms of providing services to the clients there. You had to be paired up in terms of the room that was just run down, despite the income needs. You needed to meet certain criteria then, unfortunately, you would have to share a room. That was the only disappointing part of it as well as the distance. Aside from that, I was pleasantly surprised considering the location. The person who talked to us, was the social worker or maybe the administrator there; she was very friendly. She took her time and took us floor by floor showing the various facilities within her program there. I've met some of the staff and some of the residents as well. They need to upgrade some of the furniture they have. It looked a little worn. I believe it's a kosher facility, I don't think they allow you to bring anything from the outside. It was probably more aligned with the food that they said you couldn't bring in. They could invest a little bit more in some of the furniture within the rooms and the upkeep of the place. They have a fairly large dining room. It wasn't that bad, and it was clean. They could put a little more funding into the appearance, it looks a little old or worn down a little bit. From a superficial standpoint, they could stand to invest a little bit more in appearance.

I liked what I saw at Long Island Living Center. I liked the facilities. They have a lot of activities. I like that there was a private room for my mom. I liked everything about it. It was clean and it looked comfortable. They offer nurses seven days a week. There's a doctor there three days a week. I liked the person that took me around. She was very pleasant. Everything was clean. They had a library, a reading room, and a movie room. They had several gathering areas.

I did a tour of Long Island Living Center. For the most part, it was nice, and the people were nice. It is a nice Medicaid facility, and that's across the street from the hospital. It was a very nice place, it would be good for people who qualify for Medicaid. It's clean and well cared for.

I have visited residents who have and are living at LIHLC and I heard such wonderful praises of the staff, so much about the food. One of the elderly gentlemen kept telling his wife to come join him so they could vacation together. The residents are very positive in their actions, and seem happy and busy. This I have seen many time that I have visited residents.

I visited this facility along with several others to find a place were my aunt would be most comfortable. As soon as I went through the front doors I was greeted by the friendly receptionist in the lobby (very much like a hotel lobby!) A nice lady gave me a tour of the facility, all the lovely sitting areas and hundreds of books, and chess tables, and they even have a newly built theater room!!! The staff was so helpful and kind and answered all my questions about my aunt's restricted diet and her preferences and explained all the different meal options available. I am really impressed by this place, it's the nicest facility I've seen. From the kind and helpful staff to the tasteful designs, i think this is a place my aunt will really appreciate. (The location is a big plus as well!!)

Long Island Living Center is in a good neighborhood. It has Kosher food, which is a big thing for my uncle, although he's a vegetarian. The staff was very nice when we got there. They seem a little warmer to me. They have more rooms and more space for everybody, so that seem better to me. They're going to be renovating, so maybe it would be a nicer place to go right now.

I visited Long Island Living Center because I needed an assisted living facility that takes Medicaid. It was nicer than I anticipated. There's a lot of space and the people are very nice. It almost looks like a hotel.
