My father has been in MillView of Latham. My only complaint is when he complains that he doesn't always like the food, or the portions are smaller. The staff is very nice. They have transportation to doctors' appointments, medication management, they do laundry and housekeeping. They provide entertainment. They play games there. They do weekly outings to like stores, whether it's Walmart or other various stores to give the residents a chance to get out and go shopping. They do various things.

My mother is living in MillView of Latham for 3 years now. We're really impressed with the staff, they're very caring, very conscientious, very careful, always available, very flexible, very communicative, and help us with anything we need help with. It's an older facility, but they really take good care of it, and compared to the places I went to, it made me feel the value of where my mom is now.

Millview was one floor and fairly convenient. The rooms were small, dated, and had dark colors. The dining area looked large, and the menu looked OK, but we didn't try the food. They had some people doing class in a little foyer area.

Really based my review on the experience and the vibe from the residents. I am looking for home to place my parent and their experience is paramount. This is the first place where all the residents seems happy and well adjusted to the community. The other stuff matters but it is clean and appears very well managed.

I was really not impressed with the Millview community. The location would have worked well for my family, but after our tour we quickly ruled this one out.

I didn’t like Millview, but the residents there were all seemingly very happy with it. I went in some of the rooms, and the staff was friendly and just fine, but it was the facility itself that I objected to. It was an old building -- almost depressing to me -- and it was kind of dark. It looked like the rugs all needed to be replaced. It gives the appearance of an old facility that needs to be ripped out and needs to be totally renovated. It was less expensive than some of the others. They were things going on, and the caregivers were very pleasant. I saw them working with people; they were good, very nice, and very caring. Location is good and accessibility is excellent. It’s off of a very major highway, and it’s close to Northway 87.

The one that I didn't like was Millview. It was gloomy and dreary. It wasn't bright and cheerful. The colors were dark. It just seemed depressing. I wouldn't want to go there. I don't know much about the staff because no one really approached us when we went in that day. We kind of wandered around by ourselves.
