My friend is a resident of Elderwood Residences at Cheektowaga. I like the food. We had pizza and we had some fruit. They had free boosters and I'm not ready for all that. The cleanliness and the structure of the building are very nice. They played bingo and something. I got shuffleboard out back during the summer. He was well taken care of.

I toured Elderwood Residences at Cheektowaga. For this one we saw a two-bedroom. We were pretty close to taking that one, but they didn't have an immediate opening, so that kind of played into it. It was very nice. The manager who showed us around was very personable and very caring. Their upkeep of the patio and townhomes was very meticulous. They would have painted them a different color if my father and mother moved in and didn't like the color that it was already painted. They were wonderful. They have a community room where people have breakfast. I don't believe that many of the residents choose to do that every day. I think she said it was always the same ones -- maybe about a dozen, or maybe not quite that many. I was impressed that they provide rides. But she did say because of COVID restrictions they had stopped doing that for a while. But otherwise, it's nice how they will provide rides. The garages are attached so you don't even have to be exposed to the elements. If you're a person who's still driving to live there, you're safe from the snow. That was nice. The insides were beautiful. I would highly recommend that one. They actually have an outside person who brings meals in for lunch and dinner. She showed us the menu for the month, you could order ahead, and they'll deliver the meals. It's a very, very good range; there is a wide range of choices. It seemed like the type of meals that you could choose from was almost created specifically for me.

I visited Elderwood Residences at Cheektowaga. They were very nice and friendly, but they had some restrictions that just did not fit my requirements or particular needs. The facility was clean, bright, and seemed to be comfortable though. The staff was very honest with me. They did a good job during the tour; but then again, there is only certain things that you could do and they cannot do what I want. I saw their menu, and it is pretty much the same with the other facility we checked out. They also had breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. They had a barber shop and a beauty salon. The outside area was well kept. Everything was nice, and there was no garbage laying all over. It was a very neat place.

Elderwood Residences at Cheektowaga is really clean and nice. The service provided by the staff is good, but it could be better. My parents have food delivered to them, but they also go out to eat, and they say the food is really good. My mom can get hair done at their place because somebody comes in and does it. Their apartment is really good, it has two bedrooms, a big kitchen, living room, and a bath and a half. It also has a washer and dryer, refrigerator, and a stove.

Elderwood Residences at Cheektowaga was very good. The place was as nice as it could be and I had no problems with it. The staff seemed to be very accommodating. The menu looked good. The rooms were minimal, but sufficient. They had a nice little schedule of entertainment and things to occupy the people. The independent living was gorgeous and very nice. They had a calendar of activities. It's inclusive, like the dental work is taken care of and if you need rehab, they have it right there on the campus so it makes it a one-stop-shop.

We chose Elderwood Village for my mother because she had rehab there before and we're happy with it. It's a company that we liked, plus she worked for them a while back. She also liked the people there and everything worked out for her. Other than nursing care and rehab, they have a whole assisted living place there as well as independent living. My mother only does breakfast since she's in the independent living level. The staff that I have dealt with personally are very good. It shows that they have a lot of experience dealing with people in that age group, and it's important for them to let people feel or keep a lot of their dignity. That's a good thing.

Elderwood Residences at Cheektowaga was a very nice facility. It was very well-kept. The apartments were very nice. I was relatively surprised. They have a community center that gives people opportunities to take bus rides and go to different events. They also have events that happen there, like car shows and different things. I didn't go into a whole lot of detail with them, but based on never seeing anything else and just my own house living experience, the facility was quite excellent. The staff member was pleasant and knowledgeable, they provided me with a lot of information, and she took her time. It was a pleasant experience.

Elderwood Residences at Cheektowaga had patio homes for independent living, and that really impressed us. The big advantage for us would be the garage attached to the house. They serve breakfast, have transportation available, and do get-togethers. I met two of the staff, who were both excellent.

The personnel at Elderwood Residences at Cheektowaga were fantastic and did an excellent job. They took us to the patio home and went through it quite thoroughly. They gave us all kinds of good advice. It's in a busy area.
