I was quite pleased with Kaaterskill Care Skilled Nursing and Rehab. They were very kind, solicitous, and they were there when you needed them. My husband's food was brought in every day. My husband went to their music programs. I was impressed with the place. It was very clean. On the wall were pictures of all the people who had been in the service that lived there.

My dad is at Greene Meadows Nursing And Rehab Center. That's where his brother is too, but he never got to see him because of the COVID. My dad is in there for rehab but they've never fixed him. I'm not thrilled with them, it's hard to get a hold of my dad. It's like they keep getting a COVID case so I can't see him. I keep going for the COVID test, but it makes no sense right now, because they won't let you in anyway. It's just very hard. Now I've got a $15,000 bill they sent us without even a warning or anything else. He had another insurance filed but I don't think they use it, so we're gonna have them resubmitted. They gave them a blanket and a hat for Christmas. It's minor to you or anybody else, but they said that, "We gotta take it and label it." And that's been over a week, and they never gave it back to him. He's like, "It was a beautiful blanket, I loved that." But they're not giving it back. Little things like that matter to me, cause what else do they got, I'm all they've got actually. I talk to him twice a day, every day. I want him to be around people but even with going to assisted living, everybody's trying to keep all by themselves. I've had to fight with them to get them to call me for anything, and I'm his POA, his health proxy, I'm all of the above. Even when I went to visit, one of the nurses, not all of them and I don't who she is, I'm sitting there talking to my dad and she's writing everything down I'm saying. I don't think it's any of her business. They know that the house is in my name now, they know whatever, they seemed to pay close attention to everything and I don't think that's right. I think when you had your time with a person, you should have a private time. Mind their own business. I guess he's happy with the food, I really don't know, but he'll eat anything. He loves the sweets and they don't give him a lot of sweets. The facility is clean, I think it's more like an institution.

My mother has been in the sister facility Greene Meadows Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center across the parking lot. The words I'd use to describe this place are apathetic, sloppy, lacking in communication and integrity. My mother was put in a room with no working phone and no access to one. I live an hour away. Her cell phone was stolen. Staff turned the heat off in the room in March in upstate New York and made her wrap up in a small blanket when she was cold. She had two roommates that kept her awake all night. Despite my request and that she's mentally fit, no one has explained her current medical condition to her. She's caught two gastrointestinal infections. Her clothes have gone missing more than once. Now her house keys are missing. She currently has a rash all over her body that's not being treated well. Social workers and staff talk a good talk, but performance shows they're not trustworthy.

My wife's grandmother was a resident at the facility. She stayed on the rehab unit and worked with the rehab staff daily. The staff was great and encouraged her to,participate in activities. The place is old and needs to be renovated.

I have been visiting family in Kaaterskill for over year now,As A senior of 62, I can't begin to explain just how many problems I see my friend the second floor always smells of Urine and feces.I bring my family member water ,she says they never giver her any.I have seen a tiny 3 ounce bottle of water on some food trays in hallways, I feel badly for many residents are dirty, as I pass them in the hallway. There are very few Nurses,in fact Nobody at desk on weekends on second floor,I had to clean my family member myself .I am surprised this place is still open.I am scared to complain they might treat my family member badly..Please get this place back to the beautiful place it once was.I understand it's sold to new people,Green meadows is the name now.I pray not only for my family, but friends who are still so very unhappy in this nursing facility.I pray for all these residents to get proper cleaning, food, water, and most important Nursing care.

This facility is not even a star, it should be shut down, my mother was there for only two days to begin rehab and the place was unaware she was suffering a major heart attack! They left her alone in her room after she explained her symptoms, thank god we called her when this was happening and we were able to get her to the hospital . There no words to describe how upset are family is over this. Please never send a loved one here!

Do not send your love ones to this place. The nursing care is poor. My Uncle has bed sores because the staff fail to do their jobs. There's no excuse for patients to have bed sores. If the Doctor on staff gives you an opinion, I recommend you seek a 2nd one.

This place is dump no doctor on call. Smell of dirty diapers. Patience left unattended for hours crying and soiled. Medication not given and nurses poorly trained. The health department should close this place down. The physical therapy department is the only good thing about this place. I would never send my family here. My family member got sores in this place.

The food tastes terrible. The staff is indifferent. The atmosphere is sad. The second floor smells of urine &feces. My mother was there for 7 yrs. I truly felt sorry for her. The only redeeming quality is their recreation program.
