A year ago, our 99-year-old mother was hospitalized and needed to be discharged into a skilled nursing facility. The only available bed was 90 minutes away in Albion. Although not our first choice, we have been pleasantly surprised. The staff there is caring, competent, friendly, and always keeps us informed. Our mother (with full dementia) is very happy there and no longer requires the medication she had been on for aggressive behaviors. The staff made quite a big deal of her 100th birthday!

I wouldn't put my worst enemy in this place. The rooms were dirty, many of the drawers in the dressers were broken and never fixed. My relative was left in soiled clothing or in a urine soaked bed. It was impossible to find someone who worked there. They absolutely did not care about the patients. I didn't observe any activities and they offer no amenities, unless you consider having your personal possessions constantly coming up missing as a plus. Run as far away from this place as possible.

I have a relative in this facility and it is one of the worst I have ever seen. They are rude and rough with the patients. Apparently the owners only care about money and not about the patients’ comfort or cleanliness. My relative has possessions turn up missing all the time and is often left in soiled clothing.

Poor staffing levels. Not enough staff to manage the needs of the residents. Lack of personal care, food is over cooked and cold when served. Administration does not respond to complaints. Some of the staff very rude to residents and families.

My husband is a resident at the Villages. His care is not to my satisfaction. They run out of medication quite often. It is imperative that he has his meds. This could be a matter of life or death. Aids don't want to give the care at night. Some have poor attitudes. Meals are mostly good, sometimes cold. Way understaffed. There are a few good ones there that care.Rooms are not cleaned well.

Do not place a loved one in this facility. They are highly under staffed the majority of the time. Loved ones don't get the Care they deserve. We experienced several issues that the facility promised to correct and didn't occur. They talk a good talk, but don't follow through.

My father was there at The Villages of Orleans for about three months. They were fantastic. They were great to my mother who needed a wheelchair every time she came to visit. There was always somebody there to greet her at the door and take her to my dad and return her back there. The people were very caring, and the nursing staff was fantastic. They did a great job at least when we were there. I saw them with another patient, and they seemed very caring. I spoke many times with the nursing staff, and they were very concerned with each patient. It was run by the county government and was later taken over by a private entity. There were no reductions on the nursing staff although a couple of people had left because they retired, but the level of service went down. I just didn't see as many people in the facility. They are great people to work with. They are very caring, and they were very good with us. I looked at several places, and this is fantastic. The section my dad was in was five years old maybe. Everything was in great shape. The whole facility has been remodeled so I can't say anything bad about it. The outside looked like a brick building, and there is nothing special there, but the interior was great. It has wide hallways and nice rooms. They have large central areas where both the residents and the visitors can go. I thought it was a great place compared to many places I saw online and other places I visited.
