My parents live at the Massry Residence and they love it. We had much resistance in getting them here, but once they settled in, my mother asked why they hadn't done it before. They love the activities - and there are tons! Their laundry and housekeeping are done for them on a regular schedule and as needed. The care staff members are excellent, providing advice, making appointments, and offering a caring ear.

My Dad was 98 years old and in very good health. Just gave up driving. He was on lockdown for over a year. I spoke with him every day. One day he couldn’t talk. Called the desk to check on him. Immediately went to hospital and passed away 10 days later from COVID. They did not check on their residents.

Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center was nice. It struck me as somewhat more chaotic than where my husband is, but it's not bad. The tour guide was very good. The dining room was nice and restaurant style. The public areas looked very nice. The private rooms, and the shared rooms were fine. The reception was a like a mid-level hotel. The people were nice enough.

Daughters of Sarah had gorgeous two-bedroom apartments with huge walk-in closets and two bathrooms, but they only had 3 or four of those. They had attendants at the front desk. They had closed circuit televisions. The staff was good and very friendly. They would answer all your questions. They took us on a full tour and showed us all sorts of things.

I do not recommend this facility. Extremely overpriced and will add charges wherever possible. Relative's quality of health emotionally and physically declined once there.

The Massry was outstanding! My mother was there for two years. While she was there, the Massry well met her needs. Eventually she needed to move into an enhanced assisted living facility.

It was a great place with many amenities that were great for my grandmother. They have a lot of group and individual activities that help the people there to make friends with each other. The food looked great and the workers were nice to the me and to everyone else there.

While leaving a loved one in another's care is never easy, it is a little easier with Daughters of Sarah. After years of at-home care, my grandfather decided that Daughters of Sarah was the place great-grandmother, and she enjoyed the rest of her life there peacefully with loving and supportive staff. Ensuring the safety and well being of your loved ones is always the priority, and our family felt she was in good hands at Daughters of Sarah. She was only there for a short period of time, but I can remember her room being a warm, clean, and welcoming environment. The food wasn't always spectacular, but it seemed to be satisfactory to her. The location couldn't be better so it's great for those with a big family it's close to Albany, Schenectady, and Troy, but the grounds don't have the atmosphere of the city. The facilities and property has been upgraded in recent years so I expect the quality has only improved since then.
