I had my wife over at BeeHive Homes of Portales for two months then we moved her back home. They were nice. They were good. She's in hospice. She wanted to come home, so that's what we did. She can't get up out of bed at all. The rooms were nice, but pretty small. It had just one bed and a recliner. It had a shower and a commode in it. The food was not very good. I had to feed her myself most of the time. I had to go out and buy her food and bring it in quite a bit. They had a dining area where they bring the patients in and they'd eat around the tables, the ones that could. The staff was pretty good. There were a couple of them that we didn't like, but the rest of them was alright.

I viewed the BeeHive Homes of Portales. It was a facility that had caring people in it, and it would have suited my needs, but I was able to care for my husband at home until he passed, so I did not have to put him in assisted living. I didn't meet everybody there, but the people I talked to were very kind. They were caring, considerate, and they were good. For an outdoor area, they have a little patio in the back. I haven't seen a lot of different places so I cannot compare them to others but it would have served my needs.
