My mother has been in the facility for more than a year. The staff as a whole, are truly wonderful. They are patient and respectful, and very attentive. The Activities Director, Linh, makes my mother's day and is beyond amazing. Thank you all so much for the care you provide my mother.

The care of the residents is none existent. When they press the call button it takes at the very least a half hour to respond. The rooms are dirty and the bathrooms are worse. There is always an excuse for the reasons why it's not being kept clean. The food is at times fine but there are residents who need help with eating and and making sure the food is cut up for them, since a few of the residents have no use of their hands. Bed sheets are not changed often and at times not at all. The excuse is they ran out. There are a few good CNA's but few and far between. I feel the most important issue is the medical needs of the residents. I have yet to see a Dr check on them or provide medical needs of the patient IE...Pain, foot care, bed sores etc. This facility needs a major overhaul, both staff and management. Very little empathy for the residents I have no doubt most nursing facilities are the same. What a shame when there is no other option but to put your parents in a home to be treated with less than the dignity they deserve. Would they treat their parents the same if they were in there.

We ended up placing my mother in Skies Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. It was a smaller facility, so we did that one. I feel like they had a lack of employees for the number of patients there. The patients were sometimes left longer than they should be when they needed to be changed or have their food brought to them or whatever. That was one thing that I noticed there. I was also going to the facility almost daily at different times, so they knew that they needed to take care of my mom. But there were two times when she showed signs of UTI, and I told them about it, but they didn't do anything. So I ended up taking her out of the facility, to the hospital, to the emergency room to get treatment on that, so that wasn't a good thing. There were some very good workers there who cared, and then there were others that were not, but I think that's a common occurrence in a lot of nursing home facilities for the elderly. The meals were well balanced. My mom was on Medicaid, so we only paid the first two months; full amount. It's an older facility so it could use some upgrades. The activities were good. There was a great activities director, and if you were physically capable, they kept them entertained. They celebrated holidays, too. They were good. I had to take my mother twice to the emergency room for the UTI infection, so they should be more aware of the symptoms because, with the elderly, it comes on fast and can get very serious quickly. So that was my biggest complaint. But the hospital was just down the street. Because I was there every day, I could notice that sort of stuff. She did catch COVID there, and that's what caused her death, and it was a slow agonizing death. She got it in December, and she died in April. She was not able to swallow or keep the nausea away. Even when I called the hospice workers to help, she starved from malnutrition because of COVID.

My wife was at Skies Nursing Home, which was a horrible experience. She came home, but they never set up the home assistance or home health things for us. After five days of getting no services, she had to go back to the hospital. The facility was sort of junky. 50% of the reason my wife is still in a nursing home is due to the treatment she got at Skies. They just didn't do their job. The staff members were rude and not dependable. They didn't seem to take the responsibility of caregiving seriously and it was as if they were just concerned about a paycheck. My wife never really complained about the food. I never saw anything other than the front lobby, but it didn't have the class or the appeal that the other facility has. It looked like some kind of nursing home that was built about 30 to 40 years ago.

My Mother was in this facilities for over 3 yrs. Her care was horrible. I was there every day to make sure they were on top of things. She died in the Hospital with dignity and I am glad she did not pass away at Skies where she was not getting the attention and care that she needed. I do not recommend this horrible place.

My father recently spent about three weeks at this facility due to a back injury. The care he received was excellent and every one of the staff members we encountered was caring and professional and frequently reported to us on his condition. His physical therapist, Phillip, was able to get him motivated and with his help my dad quickly improved enough to be able to come home. We even received some tips from him on how to help him continue his care at home. The facility was clean and well equipped. We highly recommend this place.

I was a patient in this facility and I'm 73 years old. I'm here to tell you I will never go there again. I was a registered nurse in hospitals acute care for nearly 30 years, and I've NEVER seen people treated like they are treated at Skies. It is unbelievable, with techs telling you what you will do and not do; and never using gloves to handle human excrements. Poop was on an elevated extension for the commode and it was just set on the floor. It was never removed while I was there. Techs talk down to patients like they are dogs and nurses never know that because they are NEVER IN THE PATIENTS' ROOMS AREA. They sit at the desk and don't answer phones. Patient call lights are left on for hours anyone answering them. I notified corporate headquarters, but no changes were made!!! An RN loved laughing a devilish laugh which was extremely unnerving, and she refused to believe my blood pressure was as high as it was after multiple checks and one check manually and refused to give me medication to bring it down!!! DO NOT PUT YOU OR YOUR LOVED ONES IN HARMS WAY OF THIS INSTITUTION!

I am a relative of a patient. I live over 60 miles away. When I call asking to speak to the patient they forward me to the ward where I get an answering machine. This has happened every time I call. Today I was told the line the patients use was busy ?? The patient has no phone in his room and no TV.

This is by far the most horrible rehab center in the country. I would not send my worst enemy there. The facility is old and dirty. There are two patients in a room and not enough space to put a chair so the patient can sit. One night, I asked fro some crackers at 10:00 p.m. and was told I had to wait until 7 a.m. breakfast. The food was so bad that I couldn't even eat it. They did not take into consideration the patients food needs. I have Crohns and they would give me all kinds of food I could not have. tHERE ARE NO LITTLE MILK CARTONS OR FRUIT CUPS I asked for some applesause and they brought me some in a pill cup. They herd you in for showers and they do not even have bath towels. Everyone, gets dried with had towels. When I told the admin assistant that I wanted to go home, she informed me that Medicare can choose not to pay for my stay. I know that they already approved for my stay.. I think that the attorney general should look into this disgusting place before there is a tragedy. I could go on and on but I know that no one cares about the complaints. This will probably be torn up and thrown away!!!!

I had my grandmother here for therapy about a year ago and I would recommend this rehab center. The food is ok, but nursing and therapy staff are all wonderful! Patients who stayed on the long term side always looked well kept. If you need rehab, choose Skies.

A friend of mine was recently at this facility. Food is not good, PT services are whenever, nurses don't respond to call bell for many. many minutes, most of the time had to go and look for a nurse. I would not recommend this facility.

This facility is no good!!! The staff is negligent on patient care and well-being. From my point of view the staff is not interested in the patient care. My mother was brought to this facility and another patient walked into her room and sat on her bed. It took half an hour for someone to go into her room and notice that a male patient was in her room! She was sitting in a chair away from the call button. I let the Director of Nursing know and she didn't seem to care. My mother only got 2 baths in one week. She was left to wait for two hours for a pick up back to the rehab center from a doctor's appt. I see all the patients wheeling themselves around the facility and all the nurses sitting at the nurses station. I have never seen so many nurses at a nursing station in any hospital or rehab center!! My mother's doctors even said they got bad reviews from patients who have stayed here!!

My grandma was there for 21 days after fracturing her hip. The nursing staff are wonderful! The therapy is AMAZING. My grandma was not able to walk after her fracture, and the therapy staff was able to get her walking hundreds of feet plus climb a flight of stairs by the time she left. I would highly recommend this facility.

Nice facility. No constant dinging of call bells but don't expect anyone to look up to see the flashing light outside your door. No PT schedule, simply when they get to you. Want you there to do their job for them. My mother got more help from the cleaning lady than anyone responsible for her care.

My mother was in Skies for 21 days after her hospital stay. My dad had also been there for 3 years prior to mom going there. The staff were all nice. Dad passed away, but they did the best they could. There were some okay times. We had barbecue for lunch there a few times. It wasn't all bad.

Skies is an excellent nursing home! They took really good care of my mother and treated her with compassion and love in her last months. I would highly recommend this facility to any one who's looking for care for their family member!

I would like to warn anyone considering this facility that they are so poor on personal hygiene that it caused my husband to get a serious staph infection and subsequent major surgery. The multifarious care problems caused so much suffering for us since Feb. 2011 and he had to go back in hospital again (July 2011) as a result. This facility should be reviewed and put o/o business, and I am not the only one with this opinion.
