My husband suffered a severe TBI (traumatic brain injury) and the rehabilitation staff is excellent and very professional and friendly. My husbands room is always clean and what ever we needed they were there to help us out. I also was hesitant when hospital told me this was the facility he was going to and i read the online reviews but he has been there almost a month now and he is in good hands and coming home in a week. THANK YOU LOS PALOMAS

Rooms? Dirty Food? Served late or not at all. No assistance for elderly with choking hazards. Laundry? Filthy covered in mold. Will leave wet clothes in a trash bag on top of a shelf for a week. Staff? Terrible attitudes with gossiping issues Overall care; You're better off having your loved ones at home with no experience on how to care for them. This place will destroy your loved ones!!!

Rooms are what you expect for lower income, meals are deplorable, staff is hit or miss and you either great good or savage. The staff does not care about the patients and I can only blame the ownership. They left my mother’s phone under her bed for a week. When I asked them to charge it they hemmed and hawed and said there was no outlet. I then asked that they charge it at front desk. It’s been four hours and I cannot reach any at the front desk or the nurse staff the phones ring endlessly. DONT BRING YOUR FAMILY HERE.

Mom stayed at Las Palomas Center for a couple of months or so. It was not that great of an experience. I don't think they're not as attentive to their patients or their cleanliness as the other place was. The food was OK. They need to improve on emptying the trash and their cleanliness. It smelled like urine really bad in there when you walk into the doors, the hallways, and the rooms. They need better circulation. They need to be dumping their trash more often, changing their patients more often, and stuff like that. The smell was pretty bad. I went to visit a lady that was my mom's roommate and I noticed that the place got better. There were some good caring nurses there.

A loved one is at Las Palomas Center. She's not comfortable there because they got her stuck into a little corner. I think it's a room with two people, but they got her confined to a corner. The staff is alright and they do what they can do. She said the food was alright but we haven't seen it because most of the time she'd been in there, they've been on the lockdown because of the COVID. The facility has a courtyard and a cafeteria. The place is also well-maintained.

I'm now in Las Palomas Care and Rehabilitation Center. It's not a great experience. Just responding to the call button is extremely slow. The food is really good. I haven't gotten any therapy yet, so I can't say 'yay or nay' to the physical therapist and occupational therapist here. That's a really high priority for me, so it is a real problem that I'm not getting therapy right now. I'm in the rehab part. They should respond to the call light or call button. The facility itself is OK, and that's all I can say about it.

My husband fell and broke his arm which required three weeks of PT at Las Palomas. I visited him everyday--he was always clean, his room was orderly and well maintained, and his meals were tasty and nutritious. The therapists, nurses, and aides were professional, responsive, and friendly. I have to admit that I was very apprehensive about this nursing home after I read the negative reviews. However, my husband was well taken care of. He is coming home in good shape, thanks to the care he received at Las Palomas. My thanks to all who worked daily with him. As far as I am concerned, the workers never get enough of the credit.

I can't believe this place is open. HORRIBLE customer service from staff (everyone but a few CNA's have terrible attitudes) I'm the PoA for my grandmother and was NEVER kept in the loop on her care. She got WORSE being there and all her laundry (including shirts, and bras) came back smelling like urine- No wonder she got pink eye there. This is a TERRIBLE PLACE, don't send your loved ones here if you really love them

My husband arrived at Las Palomas the morning of March 9th at 8AM and by 2:00 the same day I knew I had to move him out of there. First of all my husband is a big man with a scooter chair to fit him and he was put in a room that was so small that there was not enough room to maneuver his chair into the bathroom. People were rude and unresponsive. A call light was part of the decor because no one seemed to respond to it. My husband needed to have his pro time Checked but their machine was broken yet they still kept poking his finger hoping it would work this time. They finally decided the had to call the lab at 4:00 to have his blood drawn but by 9:00 they still did not have results. He needed to be on oxygen 24/7 but they did not have oxygen bottles so the only time he could be on oxygen was in his room; yet when I came into his room in the morning his oxygen tube was on the floor. No one had bothered to put it on him. The place was thilthy. The bathroom sink in the ladies room looked like it had never been cleaned, the privacy curtain in his room was dirty. The ice tea pitcher in the dining room had never been washed, the furniture was dirty and so were the Windows. There was no top sheet on the bed. He was covered with the bedspread only. I felt like a lot of the employees were hired and given little to no training on how to work wit patients. I had a hard time removing him and moving him to another facility because the social worker could not be bothered to fax the proper paper work to the new facility. This is not a happy place. Many of the employees looked miserable and probably that is why they acted rude. I could write a book about our two day experience at this facility but suffice it to say this is not a place you or your loved one would want to be.

I am currently a resident here. I get discharged on march 9. I cannot wait to leave. Upon my first 24 hours here 20 dollras and a sentimental item was taken from my belongings. It takes sometimes 2 hours for residents to get there call lights answered. More than half the staff here have a horrible attitude and kitchen staff feels it is a bother and annoying to follow dietary instruction from their boss. To top it off staff love to gossip and even talk ill about their residents. This morning I a resident here for rehab had to answer call lights of other residents because of the severe short staff. The only bright spot is the therapy department and very few genuinely caring staff. I would not reccomend this place at this moment in time. It could be better. But I don't see it happenning.

This place is terrible. My mother was not bathed for eight days. She cried and begged for a bath, finally two days later they bathed her! They provided her the wrong food, which she couldn’t eat due to her illness. When she was released there was no communication with the family regarding her medication and home care. They told her she needed oxygen, but she was not provided any, or a prescription when she was released. There was never a meeting with anyone from Las Palomas regarding my mothers progress or a release plan. Worst experience EVER!

I would not recommend this place. My father was staying there and an employee there actually told the family, “He is not going to get better.” What kind of a person would say such a thing? Then they sent him a hospital for a minor procedure and while he was there a little over a day they released him without any communication to the family. When the hospital attempted to return him, he had no skilled treatment facility to go to, and this was the first we were informed he had been released. The only explanation for releasing him was money, but they didn’t even try to work with the family to take a payment, no communication at all. When we asked for his a list of his medications they refused to give us any information. They had most of his stuff boxed up in the front office and yet they also had many empty beds.

My mom was here for a few days for Rehab, we took her out early because the patient neglect so bad. The Rehab Staff is hard to work with and not at all patient with those needing rehab. The nursing staff spends most time at the desk ignoring call buttons that are flashing constantly. My mom was served bland sandwiches everyday for lunch and a few potatoe chips. Some kind of pudding. No fruit and a few pieces of lettuce which must count as vegetable. They are not given suger or sweet n low for tea or coffee and if they ask it is hours before anyone responds. Same with water, it takes hours for anyone to bring water, never any ice. My mom was wheeled to the main room for lunch and after an hour waiting for assistance wheeled herself back to her room, which she was scolded for doing so. The window in her room did not work properly, we asked for repair but that never happened. We get to take my mom home, I do feel sorry for those stuck there.

When You First Arrive, Everything Is So Nice, But Once Your There A While There Are So Many Treatment Deficiencies. If You Can't Get Out Of Bed You Get Catheterized, Then You Wind Up With A Urinary Tract Infection So Bad You Have To Be Hospitalized. Also My Family Members Cell Phone & Charger Were Stolen. The Wire To The Charger Was Tied To The Bed Railing For Easy Access. My Opinion Is A Worker Took It (but it's just my opinion). Also My Family Member was Neglected So Bad They Wound Up In The Hospital, Because They Were Dehydrated & Had Bed Sores. We Almost Had To Dial 911 Ourselves. Nobody Wanted To Send My Family Member To The Hospital. Please Keep Your Loved Ones Away From Here, You'll Regret It For The Rest Of Your Life.
