We chose the Coronado Villa Retirement Resort for Dad, and he loves it over there. This really is a great place. He is in independent living, but we are providing him with some assistance three times a day. That's working out just fine. The meals are included in the monthly one-time cost for staying there, so all meals are included, including room service. They're all very convenient. They have a fantastic chef over there who really understands what older, retired people like to eat, the soft foods and stuff like that, but they still like their good sweets, and at the same time, they still like the really, really good meals, and they just offer so many different options that for my ninety-two-year-old dad, he's already gained five pounds since he moved in. That's great; he needed to put on some weight. The facility is first class, they have so many fun activities. My dad told me about them all the time. He loves getting together with the different people, and they send out calendars every week of the different activities. He has a church service he goes to, he goes to exercise classes. They play that beanbag game where you throw it and it turns into a baseball game, and it's just fun for him. At ninety two, he's got a whole new lease on life.

We toured Coronado Villa Retirement Resort. There weren't any negatives, it was just a little pricey, so it was out of my parents' price range. It's a very nice resort style type of community. The nice thing is there's no buy in. You have a variety of choices, anywhere from studio to two bedroom, two bath as far as apartments. They are good sized and very updated. The staff who gave us the tour was very knowledgeable and very friendly. They have residents who are willing to like open up the door for my parents to view the apartment, which was nice of them. There was a beauty barber salon, pool, a movie room, bingo, and there's happy hour. They had a separate restaurant that was more of fine dining. So, if my parents wanted to have a nicer meal versus just going to the regular dining hall, they could do that.

Coronado Villa Retirement Resort was probably the newest one we looked at. It was big and beautiful. It looked like you were on a cruise ship on land. It was nice. It had the best food setup. They gave me a whole apple pie, and it was pretty good. They can make really good pie crust. Their setup was really nice. They had a fine dining area that you had to make reservations for, and I'm sure there was a limited number that could dine at night. Then there was a cafeteria style that we went through. They had a salad bar with a couple of different kinds of soup. I really liked that they had a 24-hour snack area, where they had sandwiches. There was yogurt and fruit, and you could just go down there anytime and grab a sandwich. You could eat it there or take it back to your room. The staff who showed us around was funny. I enjoyed the tour. Everything was clean and fresh, and the rooms were nice. They had all kinds of activities. The one that I would be interested in was line dancing. I really only interacted with the tour guide and the director of admissions. She was very pleasant and funny. The tour was enjoyable. Facilities were good. The thing I didn't like about this place is that it was the most expensive one we looked at. It was more than I personally care to spend.

I liked Coronado Villa Retirement Resort. It wasn't huge and I liked the layout of the apartments. They all had balconies and full kitchens. They were well-maintained. The staff was very generous and pleasant. I talked to Joan and she was excellent. They had quite a few activities. I just wanted to be on the outside more and they had an area that sat out front where the cars drive up and so on and someplace in the back, but that's about it.

Coronado Villa Retirement Resort was lovely, it's just the best. It's light and bright. Everything we could think of to ask about, they provide. The people were so nice and accommodating. If you want to eat casually, they have a casual place to eat. If you want to invite your family, you can make arrangements to do that. You can eat in a place where they have tablecloths and waiters, or you can eat less formally if you want to at every meal. Plus, any time you want, you can drop by and grab a sandwich or have them fix you a quick hamburger. They do that, and that was great. It was just the best you could expect. They had different things going on, or trips you could go on. If they needed to run by Walmart, they had regular trips to Walmart. If you'd need a trip to your doctor, you could do that. It was well-kept, nothing was old and shabby. It's all lovely, just right up to date.

Coronado Villa Retirement Resort was a deluxe place. Everything's included, valet parking, a movie theater, and three meals a day. We did eat there, and their food was very delicious. We saw just the guest bedroom and it was very nice. The people were very, very friendly, including the residents. It's a beautiful building. They had every kind of amenity that you could think of. They have free cable, free telephone, and free internet. If you want to eat buffet, they have salad bars and stocked shelves of any kind of treats that you might want. They have those 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If you get hungry at night, they have coffee and food there. They have their exercise rooms, arts and crafts, and every kind of entertainment that you would like. The staff was so friendly and very knowledgeable. They advised us to go back so they can show us some of the rooms that they have available. Upkeep and maintenance were excellent. It seemed just like a little community on its own. They had a park-like area outside, and it had walking paths and landscaping. Everything was beautiful, and it was an enclosed area.

I think Coronado Villa Retirement Resort was an excellent place for people who want independent living. They were more focused on having the person feel comfortable. The rooms were beautiful, newer and a little more spacious which included a laundry area. She said that there were regular-sized dryers in most of the rooms too and a dishwasher. The person that gave me the tour seemed to have a high position in the facility and she introduced me to the staff, especially the kitchen staff. So, I met the chef and the other folks as well. I met the lady who ran the beauty shop, and she was very outgoing with the employees, and that gave me a good feeling. The chef was proud of the kind of food that she prepared. She seemed to have had background training and emphasis on New Mexico cuisine, which I thought was wonderful. They provide a salad bar for the most of the day and you can order things at just about any time. So, if you want a late snack, you can eat them or you can select it at your dinner hour or you could have them hold your meal until a later hour. There was a sort of flexibility there as opposed to the meals at specified times only.

I've been to Coronado Villa Retirement Resort. It's first class and the rooms were top-notch. What few staff members I saw seemed very nice. I know there's a salon and it all looked real nice.

Coronado Villa Retirement Resort was very nice. I would think of living there if I was able. It's new and you get a good feeling just looking at the place when you walk in. Having the big area where they eat and you can go in and sit and have sandwiches and do what you want, it makes you feel kind of homey. The girl who showed me around was nice. It's very clean.

Coronado Villa Retirement Resort was a very nice community. They had activities going on, and the dining room and rooms were very nice. The only problem I had with them was that they're relatively expensive. They accommodate dogs but I think they more like tolerate them.

Our second option for my parents was Coronado Villa Retirement. It's very nice, spacious, and beautiful, and the food was really good. They had great amenities, like a barbershop, a pharmacy to get your prescription, and a beautiful movie theater. You can get food several different ways, including a salad bar choice, buffet, or dine-in where somebody serves you. It was really nice. The lady who took us on the tour was nice but not that accommodating, enthusiastic, friendly, and welcoming. It was better for us and down the street from where my parents were moving from. It would have been a better facility, but they did not have an opening at that time.

Coronado Villa Retirement Resort was a fairly new community and everything about it was very nice. The dining room was absolutely fantastic, and you could have every kind of meal you could possibly think of, and it's open all day. The food was very good. The rooms were beautiful and spacious. A couple of them had fireplaces in them, and everything was comparatively new. The facilities were excellent.
