I recently visited a family member living at this facility. I walked around with her and saw everyone was engaged in their activities and seemed very happy. The facility was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. I didn't discuss the cost so I couldn't give any stars for the value.

Looking for a senior community for my mother and stopped by The Albuquerque Grand. I enjoyed seeing an active group of my mothers peers participating in the day’s activities. The warm and friendly staff made me feel very comfortable. Looks like we found the spot for mom!

Just returned from a two-day visit to my elderly aunt who recently moved to the Albuquerque Grand - and am very pleased that she chose them as her senior living home. From my relatively brief time there I observed and experienced that: • The Director Victoria and staff are committed to their jobs and are going above and beyond their duties to support and care for the residents • The residents are upbeat and my aunt has already made several friends. They also seem to look out for and support one another. • The facility is clean and rooms are spacious • There are a lot of activities going on • The food was good (esp. liked the apple raisin bread pudding)! Victoria also provided us with links to some excellent local resources to help supplement my aunt’s care. We feel that she is in good hands there.

I toured Albuquerque Grand Senior Living. It's very different from all the others. I like it. The staff was great, very friendly, and very nice. I thought the layout was very interesting because there were so many ups and downs. I thought the rooms were very strange because there was no kitchen, just two bedrooms and maybe a little shared living area. It reminded me of a dormitory at the university. They were ample in size, and they were quite nicely laid out.

Visited The Albuquerque Grand last week, as we are looking for a place for our Grandmother to live. Was very impressed with staff and layout of the building. We took a tour and looked at a few rooms and to my surprise they are very spacious and we were also able to taste their food, kitchen staff was very polite and food was delicious. This center is at the top of our list now.

I am looking for a place for my aunt they were the first place we visited, after 6 places, Crystal, who gave us a tour left a lasting impression she was super personable and really was intensive of our needs and asked questions the other places didn't and it made us feel like they really care. As well as how friendly all the staff were, my aunt seemed to have made friends with some residents in her short visit. They said it was a great place to live. Crystal gave us a lunch tour the food was really good, the place was really clean, the rooms were real nice. The residents seem happy. We made a decision for her to call it home.

I am a friend of a resident there. She has lived at the Albuquerque Grand for years. She has never had a complaint. The facility is clean, beautiful, well laid out. The rooms are spacious and nice. They have lots of fun activities. The staff is caring and when I go to visit the residents seem very happy outside of a few not satisfied with the food. However after many visits with my friend in the dining room, I feel the food is very tasty and noticed half of the residents like spicy food and the others don't but the kitchen is always trying to accommodate. I came here to write a review as my friend has noticed a vast improvement in management, staff and to the community she has been so happy enough to talk my ear off about it.

I had an excellent experience at Albuquerque Grand Senior Living. It is an older building, and because my mom will stay in most of the time, I'm toying with this when it's got a lot of good things for it. The halls are kind of narrow and it's an old dorm area, but everything is nice and clean, so it's a nice area. I get to tour the rooms, and they're excellent rooms. The staff who gave the tour was amazing. It was a very enjoyable visit with them. However, I'm not enamored with the fact that it is down by the university. It is a contained community, so it's not bad. I like the fact that they have parking underground, so they have their own parking. The only problem that I have with it is the hallways. The hallways are small.

I went to look at Albuquerque Grand Senior Living. The people that were there all seemed happy, were engaging, and greeted me as a potential new person. Everybody seemed to be doing okay, so that was one of the big things that made it seem like it might be a good fit for me. The facility was very clean. The whole facility was set up for people to be able to gather in small groups and do individual things as well as group activities. I thought it was well laid out. It looked like it would be a place that would be quite enjoyable. The menu looked appetizing. They had a lot of activities going on at the time I went. The rooms were a nice size for one person. They were set up well. The staff members were all very pleasant and welcoming. It was a nice visit.

The tour I had at Albuquerque Grand Senior Living was great. The facility was beautiful. It's very clean and very well-maintained. The staff was wonderful. They have the amenities that I am looking for, like the meals, and housekeeping. They have an elevator and underground parking. They're a little pricey, but I think they're worth it because I saw a couple of other places where the price was the same and it's nowhere near as nice as Albuquerque Grand Senior Living. It's in a nice neighborhood versus some of the other ones that seemed to be more like in a business area. The neighborhood was very walkable. If you wanted to take a walk down to it, you would feel very safe doing that. The staff that I met were very pleasant. They do not provide assisted living so it's like a residential hotel. It doesn't look or feel or have the smell of a nursing home or an assisted living facility. The other thing I liked about it was, it's near the university. So, there are a lot of little places, shops, and cafes that I could go to. Plus the UNM library was there. The residents that I talked to seemed very happy (from a person who has only been there a year to another person who's already been there for seven years). Both seemed to be very happy. They seem to have a lot of activities that I can participate in if I want to. They have a lot of outdoor courtyards and indoor gathering places from small to larger ones. They said they're working on creating an indoor movie house. They also have seasonal events for the guests. They have a van that will take you to different events around the city or whatever, but a lot of them have their own vehicles. So, they're not dependent on that.

Albuquerque Grand Senior Living was clean. They were having a party the day I visited, so it was very upbeat. There was a lot of interaction. They had good food. It was not institutional food. The staff was fabulous. She was very upbeat, happy, and kind, and took the time because it wasn't a regularly scheduled tour. The dining area was big, very nice-looking, and clean. The residents were in their recreation room, which was spacious and easy to get to. I only went to one room, and it was a studio. It was very small, but it looked nice and had everything a person would need. Although it was small, it had a big old window and a nice view. They showed me their calendar of events, and they have a movie night and a garden club. They take people to places sometimes, but most of the transportation is just for doctor's appointments.

Albuquerque Grand Senior Living was lovely. We had a nice tour and visit with them. It's nice and clean. It seems like it's newly remodeled. I think there are some limitations depending on where your room is. There were some stairs that people would have to navigate. The staff seemed very friendly and responsive. The dining room seemed lovely. However, they only transport people to designated locations each day. They don't take you to specific appointments. Food is included. I didn't get to taste them, but from what I saw, they looked nice and they have lots of options. They bring entertainment in for them. They also have some minimal exercise classes. They have a game night or two where they all can get together. They also have open common areas where just individually the residents can meet together. The other nice thing, they had is a big outdoor patio space where you can have guests. When it's warmer, you can barbecue and stuff like that.

We chose The Albuquerque Grand Senior Living for my mom and it is exceptional. The facility itself is great. It has just been remodeled recently. It's very clean inside, very spacious, and very vibrant in colors. The staff is very helpful and very knowledgeable about what's happening. When I ask them a question, they always have an answer for it. The community is very clean and very secure. Mom does not complain about the food, even though she's very picky. She met a lot of people there and made friends very easily. She feels comfortable living there. They do a lot of board games and card games and they take them out shopping and on field trips. They have a library, a beauty salon, and a little grocery store.

I toured Albuquerque Grand Senior Living. It's a very large facility. I was there at lunchtime and all the residents were out and about. They all seemed very happy. There were people cards and chatting. There were lots of community spaces and a lot of really happy faces. The room that I saw was simple but very large and clean and accommodating. The place was clean. It was kind of basic but it was a little outdated. There are no bells and whistles

The Albuquerque Grand Senior Living was the first facility that we saw, and Steven was very nice. So right away the staff was very nice. From talking to the cook to seeing how clean the dining area, the reception area, and the place where activities are, it's very, very nice. It's in a good location. It's a nice area. But if you want independent living with a kitchen, this facility does not offer that. The first room that we were shown had roaches in it, but I don't know if it was because of the location near the garbage down the hall in the corridor that it was in. The ground-floor apartment that we saw was affordable, but it didn't have a kitchen. But then the other areas that we got to see going higher in different layers of it, the floors became brighter. There are one-bedrooms, two-bedrooms up to three-bedrooms. You can have different rooms. They have studios and studios with private baths, a studio with a private bath was $1800, but there was no kitchen area. There was a place where there was like a mini refrigerator but no kitchens. The rooms became bigger, brighter, and more beautiful, but there was no kitchen. The one-bedroom that my mom liked was $2895, which was not affordable. It was out of her range. The one thing that we like about Albuquerque Grand is that there were no surprises with the costs. Whatever the price you're quoted when you go in, it stays that amount. It doesn't increase, so that was nice. The location is nice. We didn't try any of the food, but we did talk to the cooks. They try to do nutritious meals. Even if you don't want to eat in the dining hall, just let them know, and they'll bring you your meal to your room. We looked at the kitchen, and it was immaculate and very clean. The dining hall was very clean. Except for that one hall where the first dark room they showed us, everything else was pretty clean. The staff was very nice. From talking to the cooks to the people at the front desk to talking to Steven who was showing us around and answering questions, they were very engaging. When we started the tour, it didn't start great because the room was dark and there were dead insects. But the more we talked to Steven, and the more he got a feel for who my mom was and what we were looking for, the quality of the apartments that he was showing us vastly improved the longer we stayed there. And we found out so much information about what we need to look for going forward when we visit these other facilities. It's worth checking out if someone doesn't want to cook for themselves because there's no kitchen area. They have lots of activities. They have car shows, they bring people in, and they do group activities and stuff. There was a lot of engagement there.

Air conditioning has been non existent since mid June 2022. Many apartments share a common bathroom. This is not a good environment for senior living during the age of COVID given the typical moisture content that viruses thrive in. The building should be remodeled to eliminate shared bathrooms. There was a fire on the evening of 2022-07-19 and no one was at the supposed permanently staffed front desk. The firemen had no one to ask who was in which rooms: total chaos. No automatic fire detection systems were activated. Fortunately a visitor saw the fire and activated the alarms. It can be difficult to re-enter the building in the evenings and at night since the front desk isn't staffed. There are only 3 washers and 3 dryers in the entire building for about 150 residents. My apartment phone and many other apartment phones are unreliable, therefore, unreliable for emergencies. Stairwell and parking garage lighting is poor. For months, the same dead cockroaches are still lying dead on stairwell steps. The resident hallways are never vacuumed. The vacuum used in rooms and common area is bagless that just throws fine dust and viruses back into the air. Vacuums using HEPA filter bags should be used. These are the kind used on airplanes and in updated school ventilation systems. HEPA filters are like N95 masks. Occupancy is less than one-third capacity. There were many others, but they have left. Management is top heavy diverting money to salaries that should be going toward building maintenance. Two management positions should be eliminated to hire two more maintenance people complete work orders and improve the property. I would not recommend living here. However, it has great potential for the right owners and managers with its proximity to a hospital, the University of New Mexico, and local businesses.

AG tried to withhold $968 from my $1000 security deposit when I closed my lease. I tried to resolve amicably but AG would not respond to my written messages, emails and calls. Sued them and court decided in my favor, awarding me the $1000+filing fee. A shabby experience.

Assisted living is no longer available. The "amenities" are being whittled away. Huge repeated turnover in staff but I do not know why. The food is good, the employees currently here are pleasant and thoughtful. The room is comfortable. The residents are friendly. I have lost all trust in the upper company management. Repairs are promised but not fulfilled.

I have moved into Albuquerque Grand Senior Living. It's fine. I brought my dog along. The atmosphere is very friendly. There are only about 40 people here now. Right now, they're busy having games and everything. The meals will suffice; they're decent enough. My room was redone. I got a huge closet. They give you a phone. TV and the internet are free. I pay someone to do my laundry. It costs $40 a month, so it's $10 a week. They have a barbershop and a beauty shop. They also have transportation a couple of times a week to the grocery store and transportation to your doctor's. The staff is really friendly. They had a lot of people that left two weeks ago, and they replaced them with more and friendlier staff in a week, so it's really quick. They have art classes, they have bingo like everybody else, they have poetry writing, they had drawing today, and they have card games. I just don't partake in any. I haven't been here long enough. Me and my dog, like it. Value for money is very good. For a studio, you pay $1895 and everything else is included. The fee will never go up.

Albuquerque Grand Senior Living had an open kitchen all the time, so it was nice. The rooms were very nice but didn't have a view of the mountains. We didn't see a walking path for them to walk around. The staff members were very nice and very helpful. It was a nice tour. They had a beauty salon, a library, an exercise room, pool tables, and a hobby room where they did crafts and stuff like that. Everybody was nice.

I did a tour of Albuquerque Grand Senior Living. It's a new place. The rooms were quite nice and interesting because they were new. I was looking at 1-bedroom, but I looked at studios because they were so well shaped and interesting that you could kind of make it into a 1-bedroom. I enjoyed them a lot. I like the looks of it and the newness of the inside. It's a very new and very modern building. They have a smaller amount of people. They're a smaller building. The residents seemed younger to me than in the other places, which seems funny. The rooms are very new, very modern, and have a very interesting shape. It was a few days before Halloween, and they had a lot of Halloween decorations and that was interesting. They invited me to a party, but I didn't go. I kind of considered going, and then I changed my mind. I liked the location; it is by the university. The staff was great, she was fine. She has been emailing me a lot.

I understand things happen, but their air conditioning at Albuquerque Grand Senior Living was out the day we toured. It was not updated. They were in the process of doing some updates, but they didn't have railings on the hallways and they didn't have railings in the elevators. There were no places to sit on the long hallways, for elderly people to just stop and take a break. Their outdoor walking area had a giant stairway which is not accessible for people like my father and probably a lot of other people. The staff who gave the tour didn't speak directly to my father. She spoke very quickly for my father who has had a stroke and processes things slowly. They're not updated on the overall safety features such as the railings and stairway. I thought that it was affordable. It seemed like overall, it would be a safe place. They have safety features in terms of their staff, their system, and safety checks. And so I think if there were no other options, it would have been adequate.

We toured Albuquerque Grand Senior Living. The staff was professional. She seemed knowledgeable, but not so friendly or warm: she's more clinical. The apartments were fine. They were clean, they have furniture packages, but they don't have outside spaces for each of their units. The apartments do not have balconies, and that was a big deal for us. They have a lot of activities including dances and barbecues, they have transportation, and they have a beauty shop. The location is almost in downtown Albuquerque. It's a very busy area, and it's kind of hard to navigate that part of town, but on the flip side, because of their location, some of their units have beautiful mountain views.

Albuquerque Grand Senior Living was nice and centrally located, so if you're living in the south part of Albuquerque, it's a little bit closer. It's the cheapest one we found. The rooms were a little bit smaller, so if that doesn't bug you, then go for it. I like the layout of the rooms, but the hallways were narrow and didn't have a whole lot of signage on them, so I could see some people maybe taking the wrong floor or taking the wrong hallway and getting lost, but it's not a huge deal. There were people playing board games out in the common area, but I understand because of COVID, there's a lot of stuff that they're not doing anymore. The facility looked good, and I didn't notice it not being clean at all. The staff members were super helpful, and they answered all of our questions.

My husband has moved into Albuquerque Grand Senior Living. It's friendly and well run. It's reasonably priced for what it offers, and it's nicely located for people who have a connection to the University of New Mexico. There are lots of things that we like about it. It is clean and well maintained. It's not luxurious, but the apartments are nice. The apartments have the essentials. The residents would get their meals and housekeeping, and there's a patio. We were told that there were activities when there's no Covid-19. They could schedule transportation, and they had shopping outings.

My parents moved into Albuquerque Grand Senior Living. The staff is very nice, pleasant, very friendly, and caring. It's a beautiful one-bedroom place they live in. It has new flooring, it's painted, clean, and it has all kinds of space for them. The food is good. They've done things a little bit different because of the pandemic, but on a normal basis they get to choose from about four or five different selections for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have their emergency buttons, and they have several rooms where they do different activities. They have their own separate dining area, their own room where they can watch TV, do crafts, play games, there's a sitting room, and their cars can be parked underneath the place in a garage. They take the elevator to the garage, and they can get in their car right there. They don't have to worry about being out in the rain or snow. For the price, this was the best place.

Albuquerque Grand Senior Living was a nice facility, but we didn't care for the location. It was right near the University of New Mexico, so it would be a busy area at times. My father-in-law is at Albuquerque Grand Senior Living. He is a lot happier, he's out and about, and when I went to see him last, he was going down to go see a movie, which is something he wouldn't normally do with other people. It could use a little bit of work though because it is an older building, and his air-conditioner only works on medium. They're feeding him, they're making him go down and eat, and he's doing much better. They go out to Wal-Mart, and they have a whole calendar that changes every month. They have a library, an art room, little parties, a beauty shop, and a little store inside. It has two different elevators because it's on two different levels. It's an old dorm that they had built for the University of New Mexico athletes, and it's getting renovated. There's a pool hall, a TV room, a dining room, and two pretty patios. It's a four-story building with a parking garage underneath.

The Grand (Albuquerque Grand Senior Living) is community living. They have a number of connected facilities and great community space all throughout all the different buildings. The staff and the residents there really love the place. They have all kinds of activities and great menus. They have a number of different floor plans to choose from, anywhere from a small studio, large studio, large 1-bedroom and even a 2-bedroom. For the money, they're very spacious. They're in the middle of upgrading right now, so you can actually choose between one of the older styles that they're doing modest upgrades on, or a complete upgrade. The staff members that we met and talked with seemed very helpful and engaged with the clientele. They were calling and greeting people by name, so it wasn't just a superficial run around, so that was good. Their food is much better than general institutional food, not gourmet, but it seemed plentiful and there's a great variety to choose from. It seemed well-balanced and nutritious. They have everything from games, puzzles, outings, a gym, beauty salon, pool tables, library, reading areas, big card table setups, and crafts. My mother-in-law will be moving soon.

Albuquerque Grand showed us some rooms, but they were being renovated. It looked nice. Everything seemed to be appropriate. It was very nice and clean. The inside of the place had been freshly painted. The room that was shown to us looked new. It had a good view. The staff who assisted us was very nice and very thorough. My father and I ate there for lunch. The menu was bland, but it was OK. The food was good. The place was very clean and very nice. It seemed like an old building, but it seemed new. However, it would be nice if they had like a jacuzzi or a swimming pool. Other than that, there was no other improvement. It was nice, very comfortable, and very home-like. You feel relaxed there.

The Albuquerque Grand is apparently one of the cheaper places in Albuquerque. They have a very good location, it's close to downtown, the three main hospitals, and the UNM campus. The building is fairly old, and they are in the process of remodeling and updating everything. The environment is kind of small for what I was looking for, and there was very little parking available. They seem to have pretty much everything that other places have in terms of activities and amenities, but they have a small general store in the community, which is unique. For what I can tell, the dining area and food is typical.

I am looking for a place for my mom. I stopped in after my visit with my cardiologist the other day. The place is nice and they were doing several renovations to the halls and apartments. The staff were very friendly and the people looked quite happy. I did not see the food so I could not put a mark on it at this point. However, no one said anything bad about it that I spoke with. The courtyard was well taken care of and looked like a great place for them to have gatherings. I think I will have my mom come back and have lunch to see if she likes what they fix up.

I toured this place recently. The outside spaces were inviting and nice to spend time in. They showed me an apartment on the 4th floor with a great view of the mountains. The women who toured us said the one I looked at had just been renovated. It was very nice and looked modern. The apartment had hardwood through the whole place and was very bright. The cafeteria was pretty and very clean as well. They were having BINGO in there at the time and the lady stated they do use it for multiple things such as dances.
