A warm and caring environment for our mother. It is so peaceful! Having everything on one level along with a beautiful and safe outdoor space makes it a perfect place for mom. The staff all understand how to best deal with dementia patients. There are always different activities going on, and they are able to offer programs that best meet the resident's level of functionality. There are family events so celebrating the holidays or mothers/fathers day is enjoyable. We tried home care and other facilities, but Arden Court of Whippany has been perfect for mom. We are so glad she is there.

This is a wonderful place with caring, compassionate nurses and caregivers. The activities are very engaging, and each resident is treated with dignity and respect. Family members are encouraged to visit and participate in events. Everything is on one floor (no stairs), with safe walking paths outside. There is good value here compared to other memory care places. It was the right place for my wonderful Mom, now deceased.

Best place near East Hanover that we could find for our mom. Very attentive aides and medical staff. My mom was in the Cottage wing. She was always kissing them and telling them how much she loved them so I know they were being very kind to her. Staff really knew best approaches to dealing with memory and Alzheimer's patients and this was really useful for me to see. Honestly, I wish I was exposed to this when mom was still at home.. Our family visited often and got to know many of the residents in the Cottage wing by name.. We loved the freedom given to her to walk around and never minded having another resident stop into her room to say hello to us. Often she would end up in other's rooms too. The staff would just guide her lovingly back to her room and it was never a problem. Of course, we could have locked the door to prevent this but we always felt safe with the other residents that were around.. My mom (who was rail thin upon arrival) just loved to eat the food in the dining room that had lots of natural light and overlooked very pretty outside space. Private rooms that come with furniture. makes everything fit together nicely. Awesome facilities in terms of areas for walking both inside and outside. Lots of very pretty places to sit and visit with a loved one (both inside and out).. Highly recommended. .

A VERY CARING AND EXCELLENT FACILITY DEVOTED TO SENIORS WITH MEMORY LOSS AT ALL STAGES. THEY ARE ATTENTIVE AND EASY TO GET ALONG WITH. IF YOU HAVE CONCERNS THEY ADDRESS THEM. THE ADMINISTRATION, NURSING DEPT., AIDS AND ACTIVITY DIRECTOR ARE TOP NOTCH AND THEY KEEP YOUR LOVED ONE BUSY AND STIMULATED. THEY ALWAYS CALL ME IF THERE IS A MEDICAL CONCERN OR THEY ARE TAKING YOUR LOVED ONE ON A TRIP. AS SOMEONE, HAS ALREADY SAID, NO PLACE IS PERFECT, BUT THIS FACILITY DELIVERS QUALITY CARE. MY MOM WAS A RESIDENT THERE FOR OVER 4 YEARS AND SHE NEVER COMPLAINED ONCE. THE ONLY REASON I MOVED HER IS TO BE CLOSER TO WHERE I RECENTLY MOVED.

It's been some time, since I had been a daily visitor at Arden Ct. and I wasn't sure how it would be to go back without mom. As I walked through the front door, warm feelings rushed over me. I ran into wonderful staff who still remembered me but most importantly my mom. It was like seeing her old friends; people who truly cared about her. Happy memories took over, as I remembered singing and dancing many afternoons with mom and her Arden Ct neighbors. Mom always looked forward to her daily cup of coffee, fresh baked cookies and friendly chats. Staff are wonderful and many of the key people remain which is a real tribute to the leadership. It was a difficult decision at first to move mom but it was the best one. Alzheimer's is not easy and I want to thank the incredible Arden Ct team for their constant support and tireless efforts. They encourage us to embrace change and enjoy our time together which I will always cherish.

We had respite care for my mother with Arden Courts. It was very good. It was an excellent accommodation, and she really enjoyed herself. It worked out very well. They were very professional. The one thing that really sold me was when I went to visit, it didn't feel like and institution. It felt like a home, and that was the most important thing. They had constant activities. There were three activity sessions a day -- one in the morning, one in the afternoon, and one in the evening. It was good because it really kept them busy. I would use them again if I needed to.

My mother developed dementia, and a strong talented woman lost her way. Her family needed help caring for her and we were fortunate to find Arden Courts in Whippany NJ. The staff is understanding, empathetic, and thoroughly professional; the care my mother receives is excellent. The environment is conducive to her safety and she is able to roam the facilities at her leisure. Arden Courts is a safe haven were she can be herself and feel accepted. Mom has a private room and bath, which she can call "home" and is kept immaculate. The facility is colorful and has ample gardens for her to enjoy. Activities are well planned and designed to keep her mentally alert, and physically functional. Arden Courts provides safety, empathetic care, and a cheerful ambiance.

Our mom came to Arden Court in Whippany about four and a half years ago with an Alzheimers diagnosis. They have taken very good care of her over the years and she's been taken care of by many of the same caregivers this whole time. We had to move her to a nursing home recently and the caregivers were so genuinely sad to see her go and even reminisced about when she first got there, etc. The facility is always very clean and calm. It is only for Alzheimer's patients, so they are very skilled in dealing with them at all ranges of impairment. The recreation program is pretty good and the leaders of that program are outstanding. The director was instrumental in helping us find a nursing home for our mom and responded quickly and handled a lot of administrative pieces that were overwhelming. No facility is perfect, but I really believe this one comes pretty close.

I actually had my mother stayed in Arden Courts during respite time and it was wonderful. During her stay there, we had access to go outside and it was fully protected wherein residents can't hurt themselves. The place was big so she was free to roam around as she pleases. Also the staff, the food and the environment were wonderful. It was a great place. They have different types and set-up of rooms. You can have a single room or a shared room. They were pretty open and homey. Arden Court is probably one of the better places in the area, but it is way beyond what most normal people would be able to handle in terms of it's price.

My Mom, diagnosed with Alzheimer's, progressed in her disease to the point where we realized that she needed much more care than we could safely offer in her own home. It has been over 1 1/2 years since Mom became a resident at Arden Court of Whippany and our family is so extremely grateful we found this wonderful place to help us with her care. After touring many facilities in the area, we felt Arden Court of Whippany was the best place for her. Arden offers their residents: 1- hominess of the residents rooms, dining areas, living room areas, and activity areas, 2-the freedom for residents to safely and securely move about both inside and out(conditions permitting), 3- varied scheduled activities all day long, 4 "“ cleanliness of the facility, AND most importantly an extremely knowledgeable and caring staff who all have a great handle on how to help someone with Alzheimer's live on a daily basis. Every person who works here, no matter what their position, seems to have such a great understanding of Alzheimer's and how to interact with those who suffer with it. All are extremely compassionate and caring people. They treat the residents with love, respect and dignity, as if they were one of their own family members. I truly admire all of them and appreciate the care and compassion they give my Mom day in and day out. Words can't truly express how amazing a place Arden Court of Whippany is.

My dad is a resident and he is content and comfortable at Arden Courts. What makes this facility stand out is that it is specifically for dementia and Alzheimers, with a staff especially trained for these conditions. That, plus the "house" layout, the constant stream of organized activities, and the freedom offered to the residents - always under the watchful eyes of the friendly and supportive staff, allows us the comfort of knowing my father is cared for with kindness and understanding.
