I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

This place is horrible. My grandmother was there to recover from a broken femur and they would not answer her calls for the bathroom or otherwise. She was not incontinent but they put her in a diaper just so they wouldn’t have to move her when she needed to go. Any movement is beneficial for healing and her muscles because she can’t walk. They left her in a very uncomfortable wheel chair for hours after her physical therapy and wouldn’t help her into her bed. Me and my family have had to call more than three times to have someone help her back to bed. This is not how anyone should be treated. 0/10

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I am writing this review as my mother was a patient there. It is a bunch of beauracrats that work there that seemingly show you that they care but the facts are they do not. They are not efficient in how they communicate or follow through. They promise help that amounts to nothing. It is treated as a business and its rare they will go out of their way to help you. There only concern is how they will be paid. My mother was so drugged up from prescriptions she had previous to arriving there and it was never looked at or adjusted or considered in her rehab. They claimed to the insurance they could no longer help her but then in person to me on the phone told me she could use more rehab. I would think carefully before using their facility and their lack of compassion for their patients. They washed their hand of her and frankly I am glad to be done with them

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Warren Haven has gone downhill since privatization. The staff turnover seems much higher than it used to be & they are always short staff. Phone calls go unanswered, the food quality has declined, and the lack of staff leaves residents waiting for their basic needs to be met for too long. Residents are diapered so they don't need to be taken to the bathroom. The locked Alzheimer's wing is used as the facility's need requires, not based on residents' needs. If I could care for my mother myself, I'd take her out of there.

The nursing home is extremely short staffed. It takes a half hour before someone can get my mother into a wheelchair and then another half hour wait to get her back in bed. We take her outside for fresh air and wheel her around the facility so that she can at least see some other residents. We bring her food that is appealing and edible and so that she will at least eat because the food there is horrible.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My husband just recently went over to Warren Haven Nursing Home, so I don’t know too many people yet, though the people are very nice. The place is very clean. I don’t see any activities there, but they have an activity board; I don’t know where the activity area is, though. My husband complains about the food being like hospital food because it is very bland. The only thing I was upset about was I was not informed by the doctor that my husband’s meds had been upped.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

Nestled within a verdant, bucolic country setting in rural Northern New Jersey, this not-for-profit facility has been practicing and perfecting the art of providing care to the needy, sick, elderly and disenfranchised for over 180 years. Warren Haven's conscious "community of caring" mission is evident the moment one enters the front door. The affection and compassion shown by virtually every staff member is real and tangible, and manifests day in and day out creating a warm, nurturing, mutually respectful environment. My mother arrived there from a for-profit facility in a sad state: confused, malnourished, depressed and frightened. In a little over one year, she has blossomed emotionally and physically, and I attribute her transformation entirely to Warren Haven. Comfortable, cozy and super-clean, Warren Haven offers residents a full array of daily activities, spiritual worship, on-staff chaplain, birthday and life celebrations, theme weeks, hobby groups, and much more. A volunteer community army of over 85 members supports the facility in countless ways. Special family holiday meals are offered, and beautifully prepared and served. A gorgeous strolling garden with koi pond allows for outdoor time with family members. You will achieve ultimate peace of mind with your beloved family member in this superior facility.
