I toured Brighton Gardens of Middletown. They were very helpful in providing information about the cost, and they gave us a tour and showed us some different options or sizes of rooms. The lady who was working with us was very helpful in explaining assisted living to us as well as my relative. They had a library. The reason I didn't give them a five is their outdoor space is somewhat limited. I don't have a whole lot to compare them to other than the ones I've seen on the Internet, which, of course, I know they enhance the photos a lot of times.

I went to Brighton Gardens of Middletown. Everybody was friendly. I like that they had the animals in there. The price is kind of steep though. The staff I spoke with was very nice and helpful. The facility was clean. The size of the rooms was nice and good. It's near restaurants, and the hospital is not that far.

Brighton Gardens of Middletown is 5 across the board. The woman we met with and the woman at the front desk were all wonderful, accommodating as far as answering any questions, and providing information. The tour was detailed, and we looked at all the rooms. We did not eat there, so I can't say that about the food, but the dining room was lovely. They had different room styles and different levels of care. They had exercise and they had a physical therapist that was working with the patients while we were there. They had an activity calendar that they shared with us to show us different things that they had going on throughout the week. It was nice. Meals were included and they had an open bistro snack area available to their residents in between the meals.

Brighton Gardens of Middletown is too big for my friend and they don't have appropriate rooms for her. This place looked more like a converted motel, so the rooms are like motel rooms and not appropriate for daily living. The staff who gave the tour was excellent, and the whole place was excellent. Everything was clean, neat, and there's no odor. And people were kind and respectful. My only complaints is the size of the rooms, but obviously they're good for other people because they're fully booked. They have activities for the residents, too. They also have a library, a dining room, everything was nice and clean and the people looked happy.

Brighton Gardens of Middletown's rooms were a really nice size, and the only downside was their parking was limited in the parking lot. For pricing, there was an advance, but it's reasonable. There just weren't enough parking spaces. The location is nice and very central.

My sister is going back to Brighton Gardens of Middletown. It's a lovely place. It's clean. They had a lot to do for the residents. The staff was very good, and they did work with us. She had a stroke there, and then had to go to the hospital. She has been there about three years.

Brighton Gardens was very nice. I wish I could have gotten my mom in there. They seemed to be very caring, and I think she would have enjoyed it there. I talked to a few of the residents who seemed quite happy.

My aunt seems very content at Brighton Gardens of Middletown. The care is excellent, and we are very happy with that. The staff's work ethics are excellent. We have no doubt that she is being taken care of when we are not there. The rooms are clean and well kept. She loves their food, and their dining room is run very efficiently. Their services are like a fancy restaurant. With their activities, they have outings to the supermarket. They also have family nights, which is very nice. They have bingo and karaoke. Overall, we are very pleased with the place.

My stepfather is in Brighton Gardens of Middletown. I like the fact that everybody who comes in contact with the residents knows their name and talks to them. They treat the residents like people. The staff is very friendly. He has an apartment, and he is happy. The dining room is very pretty. If there was one thing they can improve on, it would be parking. There is no parking for people who are coming in to visit their family.

Our visit at Brighton Gardens was very nice. The amenities and services they offered were excellent. I think the facilities, the setup, and the location that is close to things that they would still be able to enjoy like churches and stores, were important so I think that was a good place. The dining room is very nice, and the rooms -- especially for couples, they had a very nice suite for them -- the bedroom area, sitting area, and then a little kitchenette were very nice. When we were there some people were gathering, and there was a library area.

The person doing the tour at Brighton Gardens of Middletown showed us everything and she answered all our questions. We do go down there for the Alzheimer's support meetings, so we know the woman who runs the memory unit. For the meeting, she has been really good. The rooms were clean, but they're model rooms. They were pretty good in terms of size though. In terms of living environment, there was a very high aide-to-resident ratio, which I think for Alzheimer's patient is very important.

Brighton Gardens have excellent people. They have a lot of different programs to keep my mother-in-law busy. She is in a studio. It is a very temporary situation, so it's kind of barebones, and very basic. But it is clean, nice, and homey.

The place was nice and the staff was friendly. They had a cat, and later on got a dog, which was great for the residents. The staff was very good about medications. There weren't visiting hours, so family could visit at any hour. When my grandmother was no longer able to come to holidays at home, they had a room that they would reserve for us to use for holidays and large family dinners so that we could all spend time together as a family. They were also welcoming of family pets at the facility, which was great. They even allowed residents to keep a cat or small dog if they were capable of properly caring for the pet. One of the residents even kept a beautiful flower garden on the ground, outside of the dining area window. They were also very accommodating towards the end, making sure that my grandmother was given what she asked for.

My father laid on the bathroom floor for 10 hours before someone checked on him. He died not long after that

I visited Ethel frequently and what I liked most about the facility was the activity director. She came up with many activies to encourage the residents to participate and get to know each other. This was great I thought for the residents who's families lived far or did not visit. She also was interested in individual hobbies and learned about each resident and had them teach their hobbies. They did things like group exercise, crafts, movies, guest entertainers and professionals, and trips. I think she really personalized the activies so they won't just what you would see in every nursing home. The place was always clean, but did smell alittle of bleach. It was decorated to feel homey, Ethel did complain about not being able to have pets. The food served in the dining room was acceptable, but very plain and the residents would complain. The staff seemed respectable. The place seemed to be what each resident made it, it was like an apartment complex for the active residents. Ethel's room was small and didn't believe it had a kitchen but it was new and comfortable. The front desk receptionist was always very pleasant and the manager seemed to be involved, he was always around when I visited and new residents by name. They also had a area in the back of the bulding the was meant for residents who needed full time care. Ifelt Ethel was happy there.
