I was about to switch my mother to this daycare. I discussed everything thoroughly with the director and the social worker before making my decision. The day comes and to say it was a complete and utter nightmare is an understatement. Rude bus driver who parked in the street instead of one of my 3 driveways and expected my 95 year old mother to walk to the bus. Honks the horn which gets my dogs going nuts. I am trying to control them. He flings the front door open and yells. My mom is trying to go down the steps. I am yelling stop yelling. He just keeps it up. My dogs go running down the steps. By this time l have had it. I ask him to leave...he won't leave. I finally had to yell multiple times for him to leave. I call activ day and talk to the nurse there...tell her what happened. She says someone will return my call. 3 days nothing. Terrible world never recommend. Can't even pick someone up and help them on the bus. Keep in mind my mom has been going to daycare for 3 years. She is physically capable of walking to the bus within reason just needs someone to guide her which l discussed.ahead of time while l keep my dogs under control.

Communication from the staff to the families is terrible. We are never provided updates regarding our loved one who has dementia. We are never informed of policy changes, such as we can no longer enter the building from the main entrance, we must use the side entrance. Or that we must sign in a family member. This type of information should be mailed to the families so they are aware of changes. There are many times that the RN is late in the morning, thus preventing us from allowing our loved one to enter the building since that is their policy. We have has to sit on our car for 20 minutes at times until the RN arrived. Makes it difficult to get to work on time. There is also no outdoor space.
