I'm currently living in Bella Terra by Monarch. The aides are wonderful, so I have no complaints whatsoever about that. We're getting a new director of dining next week, but there's always plenty of food, it's well prepared, and we have individual tables. My husband and I have our own table. It's not crowded. They are in the process of doing renovations. The first floor is all done. The head of activities is fabulous. She came here about two years ago. She is great. We have entertainment every Friday night. Sometimes we have lectures. Of course, they play bingo, but I'm not interested in bingo. We have movies and painting. There's a group that does knitting and crocheting. There are all kinds of things. They offer various exercise classes and individual classes as well. They have a beauty salon. The woman who takes care of it is terrific, and just to have one onsite is very important. So I'm very glad that they have that.

- Special Comment: We Create the Environment Our Residents Need: Connection to place is one of our foundational principles. That is why we always create the environment our residents need to not just live in, but to thrive in. A safe and clean environment allows us to deliver specialized care to each resident. When loved ones experience the challenges that accompany dementia, for example, our secure environment can provide them with the safety they need along with the opportunity to live as independently as possible. We know there is no place like home, but we believe that our newly renovated Memory Care Community offers an experience that will meet and exceed your expectations. Genuine Connections: The Heart of Our Community: We believe that all of our team members play a key role in grounding our communities in compassion and service to others. Each and every member of our team, not just our caregivers, is dedicated to learning who our residents really are. When staff members know our residents’ likes, dislikes, and history, they can form real relationships with the people who live in our communities. When everyone is connected, it means that each day – no matter how hard – is never experienced alone. Engagement, Laughter & True Joy: Health is important, but quality of life is more than that alone. Social engagement is an integral part of our care plans, which is why we have developed meaningful activities for residents to enjoy with each other. Best of all, these activities are individualized to match the needs and abilities of every resident. Plenty of laughter and oftentimes singing can be heard in our halls; a day at Bella Terra is filled with activities like music groups, physical activity, puzzles, reminiscence therapy, and much more.

I toured Bella Terra by Monarch. The whole atmosphere, everything looks brand new, very clean, a lot of amenities, and the residents look happy. I saw a bunch of guys playing cards, and having a good time. They have a card room. They have a nondenominational chapel. They have so many things. They have parties. This is a place for the living, not the dying. The staff was very professional, patient, and compassionate. She answered all our questions and was very willing to help with whatever she could with the application process. It's affordable. It's beautiful. I would recommend that to anyone. I did not sample the food but the comment that I got, which I thought was interesting was that with the independent living, they get two meals given to them a day. They could go downstairs. There is a beautiful pub with a dining area and a bar where they could go and get a meal, like their lunch and there's no cash handling. It would just get tacked on to their room bill. They have a training room. They have a fitness program. They have bingo. They have a shuttle bus that takes them around. Every shuttle bus that they sign up with, there's a sign sheet in the lobby, and it shows what day they're going where, and you just sign your name to the list and you get on the bus, and it doesn't cost them anything extra.

Bella Terra by Monarch was a very nice place. The location wasn't bad. The best thing about them is that it has a lot of facilities there. It has the things that you would need to keep yourself active. I could eat there in the dining room if I wanted to. It's a very beautiful and very comfortable-looking place. The staff was very alert and very helpful. It's very welcoming. It felt like upper-class senior housing. I felt that most people there as assisted living and not so much independent living. It's a very clean, neat, and orderly place. It seemed to be staffed enough.

Bella Terra by Monarch was awesome. It was beautiful. I can't even tell you how beautiful it was. It was like a resort. It was nice. The lady that I spoke with was the kindest. I loved the place. We sat down in the social living area, and it was awesome. They had this big table that we sat at. There was a fireplace and it was beautiful. They would do everything, including housekeeping. You could get your hair done, you could have a maid come, and they would do your meals. You could have your family over. The whole thing inside and out was spotless. There wasn't a speck of dust.

I like the stuff that Bella Terra by Monarch was offering. The facility was clean. It's a nice-looking facility. The apartments were immaculate. It's just that they were kind of small. The staff were friendly, kind, compassionate, and helpful.

Bella Terra by Monarch was larger than what I expected. It seemed to be very nice and they had an excellent tour director. The only thing was I didn't see many people around. The director said probably everybody was out, but she gave me a very nice tour and I saw the different facilities that they had. The rooms were very nice. Everything looked to be in good order.

I visited Bella Terra by Monarch, I like it, but it doesn't have long-term care, and that was my goal. It's much more affordable for me than the others where you have to buy in and all that kind of stuff. I just loved the place so much. The people were great, they were so friendly. The staff who gave me the tour was wonderful, friendly, very full of information, and answered all my questions. She just was a delight to be with. They have a pool and a gym. They have programs from time to time, some are free, and some you have to pay for.

I had a very thorough tour of Bella Terra by Monarch. The staff member who helped me was wonderful. She was very friendly, and very interested in my mother's needs, which was very nice. It was less a sales call, and more caring, and that was important. The facility is gorgeous. Absolutely beautiful. It's being completely renovated, and it looks like a five-star hotel. She showed me the apartments that are available, and they're absolutely stunning. I saw the theater, and that was beautiful. I briefly saw the dining area and that seemed nice. Everything was very clean, pristine, comfortable, and cozy. It's not homey-homey, but it's like a five-star homey, that's the best way I can describe it. There was an indoor pool that was beautiful. They had a salon. For the independent living, they also offered meals two times a day that looked like restaurant quality, which I thought was really nice.

I've toured Bella Terra by Monarch, and I like that the layout of most of the apartments was very nice, especially the big ones. The food menu looked good, and everything else was positive when we went. They're under construction and doing renovation so it was kinda an eyesore. The activities were adequate, and they had a pool table, and my husband liked that part. There was also a beauty salon and a barbershop. The staff who gave the tour was excellent, informative, and intelligent. They're upgrading the whole facility, especially the entrance, and some of the rooms had construction boxes and stuff like that that didn't sit well with us.

Bella Terra by Monarch was a very nice place. They're very welcoming, and they seem to pay a lot of attention to what the person inquiring there is all about. I liked it the best and it has reasonable prices. I liked the layout. I'm looking for a studio type of place and they were able to show me one and it was available, and I was able to take it. They have independent and assisted living and a memory care unit. They offer breakfast and dinner. The staff members were all very polite and very solicitous.

I went to Bella Terra by Monarch. They were renovating it and it was really beautiful. The apartments were beautiful. Everything was beautiful, but they had three floors. The staff was very informative and very helpful. They had a physical therapy room onsite where physical therapists came to the facility, and they had a separate gym also. They have a courtyard.

We already signed the lease for Bella Terra. The people there are terrific, and we like the fact that they're renovating the whole place. The apartment that we chose for my parents is completely renovated, everything's brand new, with brand new appliances. They pretty much gutted the whole place and redid it, and they're doing that throughout the building. The staff that we've dealt with have been very friendly and very helpful. They have a large variety of apartments to offer there. We also like the fact that they also have the option, that if they develop a need for additional care, they can also move to the assisted living section. So that's one of the reasons we like them too. They don't have a nursing home section but they have a memory care section for those with dementia and Alzheimer's. They have a bus that runs day trips and takes them to the local grocery store, and it's handicapped-accessible. So if you're in a wheelchair, you would be able to use their private transportation. They have all kinds of activities, bingo, and lectures. They have a very nice dining room that they just renovated, and they have a beauty parlor down in the lobby if you needed to have a haircut or have your hair done. They also have a library, a gym with pelotons in there, and they have a chapel. They just redid the outdoor patio area, and they have brand new furniture out there if they wanted to go sit outside. If you need additional assistance, they have access to home health aides that could come in to help, although you have to pay extra for that.

My grandparents are in the process of moving into Bella Terra by Monarch. The woman who helped us, Kathleen, could not have been any nicer. She answered all our questions and showed us all the areas. What I liked the most was the size of the actual units. They were much larger than the others. It was about the size of their old house. I think it's about 1,300 square feet, so it's a nice-sized unit, and they have their own full stove and stovetop, so they're able to actually have a full kitchen. They're able to maintain their sense of independence when downsizing from a house to an apartment. It allows them to have their own independent feel instead of feeling like they have to go into an assisted living. That independent aspect is what sold us. They're in the process of being remodeled, and we actually got to see a couple of things that changed from the time we did our initial visit to when we came back to do subsequent paperwork and whatnot. They're really remodeling it quite nicely. It was an older facility that was in the process of undergoing, the staff said, a $15,000,000 facelift. The unit that my grandparents got was freshly renovated, so it was beautiful and clean. I think some of the residents had been complaining a little bit about some of the noise to update everything, but it was beautiful. They're doing a fantastic job so far. We saw the common areas which hadn't been renovated yet, but they were very nice. They had a beautiful gym which had been redone. They had a Peloton and a lot to their gym area, which was nice. They had just redone the patios and they were very nice. We haven't tried their food, but the dining area was nice. It was divided into three separate areas, so it didn't feel like this wide open cafeteria. It felt almost like a continental breakfast type area at a hotel, but it was very nice. I've met with a couple different staff members for different things, and they were all very nice.

Mom was in the memory care unit. Occasionally when I visited, used her private bathroom in her room, and more often then not...had to find a employee to bring toilet paper as none on the roll or extra in the bathroom! Too many times.. where was housekeeping? She called me to bring a heater down at 10 pm as her room was too cold.. contacted Bella Terra to report the problem and come to find out there was a problem in her room regarding heat! Apparently nobody comes in the rooms to check on the residents on a daily basis as this problem could have resolved without a phone call, Had my Mom with us for the Christmas Holiday for a few days and when she returned, spoke with the Nurses unit and told them she didn’t have a shower and was told THEY DON’T MAKE THEM! Hello... how about personal hygiene? My Mother developed a wound on the top of her right foot and had trouble walking due to the pain! I called the nurses station..they cut her shoe, put some cream on it, and bandaged her foot. The next week, called the nurses station as Mom’s foot was not healing and am uncertain if she was given any antibiotics, I called the nurses station 5 times within the next 4 weeks, and since I was not on the hepa form, could only receive very limited info. I talked to Mom and she was crying on the phone about the pain in her foot and told her to tell the nurse when she was checked on to go to the hospital which ultimately happened! It took over 3 weeks before this happened...apparently she needed more than the house physician and Bella Terra should have insisted that the 2 people on the hepa form at least take her to a wound center! Mom’s health began to get worse at the hospital and ultimately passed weeks later! In my gut, a bad infection set in and possibly been prevented had not the lack of proper medical attention given at Bella Terra! Very very disappointed with Bella Terra and would never recommend it to anyone! How can a human being not taking a shower have a good personal hygiene and not be immune to infections...bathing SHOULD BE MANDATORY! Have friends that have family members in the same type of environment and their relatives are bathed at least twice a week! Shame on Bella Terra... feel free to reach out to me regarding this matter!

We decided on Bella Terra, and we have the deposit down. My parents will move there in October. We're starting out with independent living. Bella Terra is the most cost effective to fit our budget in the long term. Everybody was incredible, very friendly, very informative, very nice, and willing to answer any questions or help you in anything you needed. They even gave us two free meals to bring home to them to enjoy and try out the food as well. They're really fantastic, and the food is very good. They have these fresh donuts that they bake on the premises and give us for dessert. It was baked fresh that morning, right on the premises, and it was amazing, they were very good. The dining area is very elegant, it's beautiful, it was not open at the time due to the covid restrictions, everybody was being served their meals in their rooms. It's like you're living in a 5-star hotel. We're very pleased with everything.

My friend is in Bella Terra. It's a beautiful place. The people are friendly, wonderful, and they fix any issue we have. They do a great job. I like the place. They have sing-alongs, movie nights, pool, exercise room, a pool room, buses that take everybody places, and doctors come to the residents' rooms. It's full service. I'm really impressed. Even the girl who showed us around was amazing. It's like a hotel. He's on the second floor, and his studio apartment is really nice and clean. He gets two meals a day. Everybody seems happy there.

The people at Bella Terra were very nice and gave me a lovely tour, but it wasn't what I wanted. I didn't see a lot of activities going on. It's an older facility, and it's a little less clean looking. The ceilings were very low, which gave off a different vibe as far as the openness goes. The rooms were more like studios. They had an activity sheet, and there were more women and more things for women to do there. I'm looking for my father, so I'm looking for an environment where there are more men than women. The staff was great, and the layout was fine.

We went to Bella Terra and we viewed the whole facility in terms of amenities. Some of the apartments were two-bedrooms, which seemed reasonable in terms of size. However, the location was not appropriate for us because it was too isolated from the other activities that you could engage in. It was almost like you had to have a car in order to go shopping or do whatever, but it was a very nice facility. It had a good dining hall and physical activities and things to engage in with other people. They had game rooms, equipment for physical activities, and people on-staff who would help you design your program. The person who interviewed us was very engaging and pleasant.

We're moving into Bella Terra. It looks wonderful. They have cozy small rooms where you can go, sit, and read. They have a very nice library. It is more welcoming and more homey; it is just lovely. Hopefully, it will work out. We went for lunch there, and the food was very good. My daughter was with us then, and she thought the food was delicious. The people are very nice. They're all very professional, but very friendly. They have a beauty salon, a hairdresser, a dentist, and an eye doctor. They have a podiatrist that comes in too. They have a wonderful therapy, an exercise room, and a full-time therapist. They do occupational and physical therapy, and they provide car service for shopping. The only thing I do not like is they say they have to be the one to give me my meds. Also, I know I get three meals a day there, but I love cooking. They told me that New Jersey law says they have to turn off the oven when it is assisted living.

I loved Bella Terra. The rooms were nice and big, and there was a lot of closet space, activities, and outdoor areas where you can go for a walk. They had a beautiful swimming pool and really nice physical therapy workout spaces. I think the common rooms, the outdoor areas, and the activities were really great. In fact, I am taking my mother back there because I went to all these places on my own. The only problem with Bella Terra was that it's located so far away, but I really liked it.

My visit with Bella Terra was very pleasant. The staff member was very accommodating who took us for a tour and showed us the facility. Everything was very neat and clean. The residents were very comfortable and made me feel comfortable. That showed me that they were very happy where they were. One resident allowed us into her apartment so I could see the facilities, and that was very nice. It was more of a studio with a living room, a bedroom, and a kitchen. There was enough room. They had a lot of different options of apartments, and that was a good advantage. They had a very nice indoor swimming pool. There were people in the lunch room and people watching TV in a little lounge. It was a pleasant atmosphere.

Bella Terra was very nice, and it has everything you want. The general consensus was that it was small. It wasn’t as open as some of the other ones. Some of them when you walk in were really almost open with an atrium, a foyer, 2-story, and kind of inviting that Bella Terra wasn’t. It was smaller, and I thought the hallways were tighter. When you have two people on walkers coming by, it was more cramped. When you walk in, there was a pool which I thought was a little out of the way. We went through the whole place, but it just didn’t make the cut, and it was too far away for us. It was a very nice place; it just didn’t fit our family.

Bella Terra was nice. It was just a little spread out with a lot of walking from place to place for my mom. The woman was very nice. She gave us lunch when we were there. Overall, it was nice and clean. They had senior trips, but my mother would not get involved in that. They would take her to her doctors' appointments if we wanted.

I like that Bella Terra is a community. The other places were homes that had rooms. This is the place that had apartments, which is what I was looking for. I told them that I wanted something that was independent living, and that is what they had. They had also assisted living and memory care, but the other places were just all assisted living. They have a pool, a rec room, some restaurants, some van services to different kinds of events, and a little self-contained city actually. They serve 2 meals a day -- breakfast and dinner. The staff members are friendly, forthcoming, informative, and courteous. They have doctors and nursing facilities in-house. If someone needs a physical therapy, medical care, or acute care, it is all right there on-location.

My friend is being placed in Bella Terra. The environment is clean, has no odor whatsoever, and it’s bright, airy, and friendly. The intake staff, the executive was most helpful. I got there late yesterday, and they’ve already showed her the room with another friend of mine, and they took me around to see it again. It was just a very pleasant experience. She has an apartment with a kitchenette. It’s up-to-date with a nice size living room that has place under an open area and a nice size bedroom. The bathroom not only has a shower, but the shower also has a seat already, so it’s very accommodating.

Bella Terra was a new building, and it had a kitchenette in the room with a refrigerator and cupboards. The place was very nice, clean, and the people were wonderful. The room was really nice and of decent size with a lot of closet space and a big bathroom. It had a regular kitchen like a galley kitchen with no stove. The place was a little more secluded, and it was just a couple of years old.

I’ve moved my aunt to Bella Terra. It’s beautiful; it has all the amenities that any one could hope for. It’s like being on a cruise every day and she’s very happy. They were able to get her a 2-bedroom assisted living which was what she wanted. I have visited other places but finding a 2-bedroom was very limited because most assisted living places don’t have 2-bedroom units. This facility has converted some independent-living units to assisted living so that’s why they have 2-bedroom units. The staff has been very responsive. My aunt eats everything and finishes every meal. She’s delighted not to have to worry about what she’s making for any meal and there is always something that she enjoys. I have to say that I’m satisfied with their service. Any issue or problem that I’ve had has been neatly addressed.

Bella Terra was a very nice facility; the experience there was very good. They were very nice and very accommodating. They even gave me a cupcake to take home with me. I was impressed by that that they would extend themselves that far, and the cupcake was very tasty, too. The drawback for it was that it was an hour and 20 minutes from my house. Their rooms were a little bit bigger than the ones that I had seen and were very nice. The bedrooms and the living area were large enough. I didn’t care so much about the kitchen, but they did have a kitchen. They had an in-room washer and dryer. It was definitely a superior place.

Bella Terra was nice. They had a pool, which was lovely. I liked it. I remember there were different levels, and they were in different areas. In the dementia area, the people couldn't really use the pool unless someone was with them. I did like that they had a large area to walk around. It had a nice, warm feeling.

We also visited Bella Terra. We talked to family members and the people. We saw what they were eating. I talked to staff members as well. They were on top of things, and the people were happy. It was a nice place to be in an assisted living place. We looked at something where people in general were happy.

If I didn't already have established relationships and family in Monmouth County, I'd move here. It's a dream come true but too far away from family and friends. Still considering if I don't find a suitable senior facility while I can still make decisions.

Bella Terra has about four or five different room styles. Some of the rooms have two bedrooms and a kitchenette. The neighborhood was fine. It was located right on the road where I play golf. Food was very good. They have a pool and a gym. The staff was very helpful and informative.

We chose Belle Terra because it offered the most for my mother and it was what we are looking for at a somewhat affordable price. The apartments have different sizes. She is very comfortable in her apartment. It's a one bedroom, one and half bath with full kitchen. The staff is very nice. The food is good. It's working out well and I have nothing bad to say about them. They are all good. Mom participates in a lot of the things. They have card games, mahjong, bingo. They have entertainers, they have parties, happy hours twice a week, movies. They take them on bus trips, they take them to the supermarket, they take them to the bank. Mom is happy there. She has made friends. The place is also close to me so it's working out well.

Bella Terra is a very nice place. When we visited the place, the people were very attractive and we were greeted warmly. They serve us lunch and the food was okay, nothing special.
