My dad moved into Arden Courts of Cherry Hill about a week ago. We chose it because it felt like home, and there was a connection with the people that we met. It felt like a comfortable fit. The staff is very nice and very pleasant. His room is nice. It's a shared room, but everything is nice, clean, and up-to-date. The atmosphere is nice. It is a pleasant place. They have 4 different houses. The part where he's at is extremely nice. My only problem is that most residents seem to be much further along in their condition. I know they do a lot of crafts and some things outdoors.

I toured Arden Courts of Cherry Hill. The memory care specialist took the time to explain things to me. She provided me with some additional resources. They have an outdoor space. The outside facility was nice and well-kept.

Arden Courts was recommended to us, because they are able to handle my mom's care. So far, they're doing a good job with her. I like that they have two very nice courtyards that they can walk out in all the time. There's also a trail around the building. It's all fenced in and my mom really likes to be outside, so she's out there all the time, and I think that's very good for her. It calms her. Anyone that I met there was incredibly happy to be there. I looked at how long they've all been there and most of them have been there starting at 26 years, down to the shortest one at five years, but most of them have been there ten years or more, which shows a lot about the place. They do a lot of activities with them. They have actual cooking classes and gardening-type classes once a week. Then every day they have your typical bingo, arts and crafts, and that kind of stuff. My mom's always in the activities. They take them out on trips to different places that aren't too far away as well. The bedrooms are kind of small, but they don't want the residents to be hanging out in their bedroom. They want them to be interacting with others. So, it's laid out for certain purposes. The facilities are all nice and neat.

Our father has been a resident at Arden Courts of Cherry Hill for five months now. From the start, we have been very impressed with the care and compassion shown to him and to our family. Having a loved one in a memory care facility is emotional for family members. The staff at Arden has been so patient and does a wonderful job explaining things to us and making us feel that it is the right decision and he is getting truly the best professional care. But most importantly, when we visit or FaceTime with our father, we see that he is very content and most importantly happy. Fast forward until March and we landed in the unthinkable situation with COVID-19, the staff at Arden has worked so diligently to providing a safe environment while paying close attention to our need to be able to communicate by video chats and feel confident he is okay. Arden's communication to family members via weekly zoom's to give updates and plans in place are so reassuring. While at the same time they demonstrate by showing us that life goes on with our loved ones and the quality of care has remained at a consistently high level. We are very grateful we found Arden!

My husband has been a resident at Arden Courts in Cherry Hill for nearly two years. The administration and staff are phenomenal. They take a personal interest in each resident and care for them as though they are their own family. What makes this facility so special is that the entire staff, whether it be directors, nurses, caregivers, maintenance, kitchen, activity, etc. all engage with the residents. They do things for the residents even if it was not in their job description when they were hired. It takes a very special person to take care of dementia patients and the staff at Arden Courts all seem to have that special quality. Even during the Corona Virus crisis, the directors communicate with families regularly through phone calls, email, FaceTime with their loved ones, and through weekly Zoom meetings. Families are never left out of the communication loop. I would, without a doubt, recommend this facility to everyone who has a loved one suffering from dementia who can no longer be cared for at home.

I’m so happy to share my thoughts and my families about how thankful, appreciative and secure we feel about the loving care given to our love one. Our love one has been a resident for 2 yrs. As a retired nurse, I observe the skillful and caring given to all residents. I’m fortunate to be able to visit 3-4 days per week. Our family go 1or 2 of the other days. We have a special director at this facility— she is a person who always listens, communicates and will help in anyway possible. We are pleased with all the staff. Our family and myself feel that Arden Courts in Cherry Hill are our family.

This is my wife's third year at the Courts. The 4-neighborhood layout is a great design, and allows for lots of wandering, as dementia patients do. The rooms are just big enough for the resident. Each quadrant has its own TV room and dining area, though the residents often dine in each other's area. The food is balanced and GOOD. Always an activity going on. Lots of crafts. And they bring in various entertainers to sing and play for the residents. Usually a movie on DVD in the Community room. And always a birthday cake and party for a resident. The staff could not be more attentive. I tried other facilities, and believe me this facility has substance! They care. Bob.

I was going to wait a full year after my mom became a resident before writing a review, but the way Arden Court has handled the pandemic crisis has propelled me to write one sooner. I have been overwhelmed with gratitude by how proactive, smart, and compassionate they have been in protecting the residents from COVID-19 and keeping us concerned family members informed and connected. While I understand that nothing is fool-proof and that they may well yet experience a sick resident, I remain confident that they are doing everything possible to prevent both residents and staff from contracting COVID-19 and that there is no safer place for my mom (who suffers from severe dementia) to be right now. In addition to their adept handling of this crisis, Arden Court has continually exceeded my expectations. We moved my mom to their facility in September after a horrible experience at a facility in Center City Philadelphia (that we had chosen in large part for its proximity to us). In the one year she was at the Center City facility, was assaulted 3 times by other residents. The first two were (relatively) minor incidents, but the third assault landed her in the hospital with a fractured hip and unable to ever walk independently again. On the day she was being discharged from the hospital (after completing weeks of PT), the facility notified us that they would not take my mom back, claiming that now that she couldn't walk without assistance they couldn't care for her. I was so worried no place would take her, but Arden Court facilitated the expedited transfer of her from the hospital and welcomed her with warm open arms. My only "complaint" about Arden Court is that it is difficult for me to visit her (I'm referring to pre-pandemic shut down) because we do not own a car and I do not drive. So I can only visit when my husband can rent a car and drive me. But I know that she is safe and very well taken care of, and that is the #1 most important thing! What struck me about Arden Court that convinced me that this place would be better than the other place was that they really seemed to understand dementia and all the different ways it can manifest itself. They don't take a "one size fits all" approach. They understand that dementia affects every person differently and that, therefore, each afflicted person requires individualized care. My mom, who is naturally an anxious person and whose anxiety skyrocketed with the onset of dementia, was always so anxious at the last facility. I just chalked it up to her underlying anxiety that had been exacerbated by dementia. She was anxious when she was still living independently, and when she was in the hospital after being assaulted at the previous facility. But at Arden Court she is no longer anxious! She is happy and calm! And it happened so quickly after she moved there. Literally within in a week of being there she was noticeably less anxious. I truly cannot express how happy and grateful I am that she is there. The facility may not be as elegant as the Center City facility, her room isn't as large, and maybe the food isn't as good (the food at the other place was really quite good - we used to eat there with her a lot, and I have never tasted the food at Arden Court), but none of that matters if she isn't being well cared for. The care she is receiving at Arden Court is top notch and above and beyond what I could have ever hoped for.

My wife has been a resident for the past two years and I have been delighted with her care. The staff is loving and thoroughly attentive to her every need. The facility is in the midst of an up-grading program - clean well appointed and a safe environment for all residents. There are ongoing activities during most of the day tailored to the different abilities of the individual residents. The food is nicely presented, nourishing, delicious and the menus are creative and varied. The management staff is hands on, open to suggestions and adapts the care to the residents individual needs. This is my wife's home now. She has friends, a social life appropriate to her condition, and the care and love of a devoted staff. I highly recommend Arden Courts Cherry Hill as an appropriate facility for your loved one who may require memory cars.

My wife is in Arden Courts of Cherry Hill. It's a nice facility and has four corners/four quadrants, and the residents can wander around on its path. They have four different areas where they can watch TV, eat, and socialize. They have activities all day long. It's nice, but they don't take Medicaid, which is too bad. The staff has been excellent and I have no problems. The food is good and my wife eats good. There's always a nurse and aides all the time. It's a good place to go.

In our search for an Alzheimer Assisted Living Facility we were referred to Arden Courts. We were very concerned about a facility that we felt would provide the type of care that we would provide at home. Mr. Washington Bailey Sr., is a much loved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He is a retired U.S Army veteran who served his country faithfully and with unconditional pride for over twenty years. At Arden Courts he is affectionately called 'papa' by the caregivers and you will often times hear him referring to them as his granddaughters. During our initial meeting with the Marketing Director we were provided with the necessary information about the facility, had our questions and concerns answered to the point that we were confident making the right placement decision that met our needs, but more importantly the needs of our loved one. Mr. Bailey has been a resident of Arden Courts for two years and three months. During this time, the areas where we feel confident and encouraging are 1) our involvement, 2) open communication and dialogue, and 3) active participation. Because we are a 'hands-on' family, we are very happy because Arden Courts allows us the opportunity to be a part of all areas of his care. Whether it's input in his medical care to the type of clothes we feel are best suited for him. At all times, we want to be able to sit down with his team to discuss any concerns we have about his care. At Arden Courts, there has never been a time when this opportunity was denied us. During these meetings, we are provided with updated reports on his progress as well as on areas where there is a need for changes to his care. Open communication and two-way dialogue is on-going. Since there are no restrictions for visiting him, we appreciate and enjoy the flexibility we have to visit at any time. Lastly, we are encouraged to participate in the residents programs and any special events being held. We appreciate that we are notified of these events well in advance so that we can plan to attend. Kudos to the Program Services Coordinator and staff for the wonderful program they organized last year for Mr. Bailey as he was presented with a Korean War Medal. The family appreciate each and every member of his team and feel confident that he is getting the best of care at Arden Courts.

My mother was admitted to Arden Court in April of 2014. The care she received was exceptional. This facility not only cared for my mother, but went out of their way to make my family feel welcome! Involved, and comfortable. We were alway.s kept up to date on her care plans and the aides treated my father, who visited my mom every day, with the utmost respect. He grew to love this second family of ours ! For anyone with a family member affected by this terrible disease, please do not hesitate to consider Arden Courts for their care.

Things were bad when our family was approached by Arden Courts. My mother had a quick decline. I was confused and afraid and lost in the system. Arden courts met with me, invited me to tour the facility and in a few days Mom was moved in. This staff and facility are a perfect match for us. And I mean us. Our whole family has been affected by this dementia. Joe and his staff have taken care of all of us, sat with us, dried our tears and reassured us. The care my mom is getting has been excellent and I'd go as far to say, she's thriving. There is security, consistency and nurturing. I get an education every time I visit. After years of trying to do it on my own, I'm blessed to say I glad to see my mom happy at Arden Courts of Cherry Hill. Thank you to all who work there. You are clearly a dedicated group. You're the best!

I toured this community and was "blown away" by what I experienced. The staff is genuinely dedicated to their residents and the leadership is truly outstanding. I was also very impressed with the building layout that allows the residents such incredible freedom. Thnis is truly an awesome place. I have made to decision to place my Mom at Arden Courts.

Arden Courts was a little bit dreary. It surely needed some sprucing up. The people there were way further gone than what my mother was and I don't think she belonged in a situation like that. It was depressing to be there.

My uncle was admitted in this facility after he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. Initially we were too scared to send him here. But when we visisted this facility we were really impressed with all the amenities and kind of care they give to the patients. They treat them with respect , love and affection. All their apartments have private baths and huge closets. They even provide emergency call system and house keeping services and linen services. The food is also awesome. They have skilled medical experts to take care of your loved ones. We were really impressed with this facility.

I think they are doing an excellent job in helping patients with Alzheimer's disease and other memory related diseases. They have 24 hours professional care. All the patients are treated by well experienced doctors .They even have licenses therapists for pateinets recovering form strokes , attacks. Ther have beautiful apartments with meal service , house keeping and laundry. Its like a stay in a five star hotel. They have assisted living services such as personal care, activities and medication management, all tailored to accommodate the unique needs of Alzheimer's residents. So ithink my uncle will be more comfortable staying here rather than staying at home.
