We toured Spring Oak Assisted Living of Berlin. It was very open, bright, and well lit. There's natural lighting and welcoming staff at the front. Just knowledgeable. It's a very upkept facility. There were a lot of nice amenities for the residents. They had a movie area for them. Just the community that was there, and the way it was explained to us, it was a very home-feeling there. They did what they could to promote everything that the residents did to support the facility. They were more proud to talk about the residents than about the staff. It was a very nice facility. The staff members were really helpful. Even as we talked about our specific situation with my mother-in-law, they helped us in ways that we weren't even asking for help, and gave us recommendations on how to handle the situation we were in. They're very kind, caring people.

Loved one did not have a good experience here. Overall care, attention, and food were poor. Do not recommend.

The rooms at Spring Oak were nice and large. They had a one-bedroom with a bedroom and a living room. My father was going to have a private room, but they didn't have the care for him. They had a lot of different activities every day. The memory care unit had their own dining hall and little kitchen. They had activities going on all through the day and trips. It was a nice facility. I would like him to be there, but it didn't work out that way.

We choose Spring Oak because it the nicest one that we can afford. They have all kinds of stuff going on like bingo. They do all different things, and my mom likes that. The room is nice. Everybody is very lovely. However, they can improve on their sign outside because everybody cannot find it. There are good days and bad on the food. Maybe they can also improve on the food.

We went to Spring Oak. That was too much like a nursing home. The staff was nice. The place was dirty and dingy. The patients looked bored.

My mother is at Spring Oak. It’s a nice place, and it's spotless clean. They have plenty of activities for their residents. They have bingo, parties, and a book club. They have caring nurses, and they are very patient with my mother. They check on her hourly at night and make sure she is not getting up.

My brother in law is doing very well in Spring Oak. The place is very good and he likes it. He has got a couple of friends and he is getting acclimated. He's been there since June.
