I was taken on a full tour of the facility when I was interviewed for a possible position in the kitchen/dining area. The outer facade of the building is not very clean, however the visiting and "day recreation" areas are. The bedrooms are orderly and clean, but the bathrooms were a bit messy. The kitchen area was the worst as far as cleanliness. It was cluttered and everyone working there seemed to be unorganized. The dining area was not very large and was not decorated. There seemed to be a lack of nurses or care-givers as opposed to the number of residents/patients. Many sat in the hallways, unattended and sad-looking. It didn't appear that the staff was negligent, rather they were scarce and clearly needed. I don't think I would be comfortable placing a loved one in a facility such as The Morrison (or any other, for that matter). I would keep them at home, with me, for as long as possible (with visiting nurses, if needed).I was not impressed with this facility and did not return for the second interview.
