My wife is in late-stage Alzheimer's. Her time at Benchmark/Rye was a major blessing in my life. The people I interacted with at the facility, some management and some of the people working directly with my wife, were every bit as expert and caring as I could have wanted. Their loving kindness toward my wife was exemplary. I highly recommend Benchmark/Rye because of them.

The care is just okay, but they will increase your cost with no notification. My husband's cost went from $10,000 to $18,000 in a six month time period and the care did not. Some of the aides were very good and some were very bad. Many times I found him sitting all alone with no one around. I do not recommend this place.

Benchmark at Rye was very nice. The marketing director and the head nurse were all very helpful. They worked very hard to try to facilitate because we had a very special situation with my father. But the people at Benchmark, even though they can't take people with that level of dementia, especially with a record of violence, were very diligent in making phone calls and trying to find a solution for our specific problem. And so, that's something that stood out to me was that even though we weren't even a client of theirs yet and we hadn't even put a down payment or anything, they worked very hard making phone calls, asking around, following up with us to try to come up with a solution for this situation that we had. So, I appreciated that. I recommend them because they seem to be very dedicated and diligent in their efforts to try to help you. The facility was wonderful. It was more on the expensive end, but it was one of those situations where you get what you pay for. It was very new, built within the last 10 years. It was very homey. It didn't look like a hospital or anything like that. It looked like a very large home and had a very community feel to it. It looked very much like a resort. I did sample some pastries. They did have an onsite chef who was very good, and it was delicious.

My mom has moved into Evolve at Rye. We chose this place because it only does memory care and because of its physical location. The executive director has been very open, very willing to help on different questions, and very willing to respond to questions. The location is very convenient; it is right off the main thoroughfare, and it is easy to get to.
