My husband moved to Spring Village at Dover. I chose this place because of the atmosphere, cleanliness, and the friendliness of the staff. They make sure that he is not in his room all the time by himself. They make sure he's taken to the activities. They have bingo. They play basketball. They play golf. They have movies. They have music. They're not that bad, but sometimes they're not quite geared to people who don't know what's going on.

I wanted to take a minute to extend my gratitude and heartfelt thanks to the entire staff at Spring Village. My mom, Maureen became a resident in August of 2020 during the height of COVID. It was a difficult time for us all and especially hard on mom, but the staff made it easier to bear. It was quickly evident that she was being well cared for and was in a safe environment. Whenever I visited her, the staff was always warm, welcoming, and helpful. As time went on and mom and started her decline the staff stepped up and rose to meet her needs. I have been very fortunate to have had the chance to get to know a few of the staff members by name and some of the residents. Lorraine and Britney are truly gifted individuals in their roles as care givers. They always had a smile and demonstrated their compassion. Sonya was always courteous and helpful. Jesse did a great job getting residents to participate in activities. Gary was helpful when I swapped out my mom’s bed for a hospital bed and when I cleared-out her room. Donna, Samantha, and Deborah always are always welcoming and willing to help in any way they can. Thank you, thank you, thank you, to all the staff! I appreciate the exceptional quality of care that you showed my mom. It made her last years, under the circumstances dignified and comfortable. Sincerely Mike Minion and the entire Minion Family.

Spring Village at Dover is new. It has a very oriental architectural feel to it. It's small but it was very, very impressive. It's beautiful. There are no thresholds anywhere. We saw a few of the single rooms and shared ones. The shared one had two single bedrooms and then a shared bath. The bathrooms are built for handicapped and they were the most impressive to me. It was big with space where you can go in there with a wheelchair or walker. There's a bench you can sit on. There's a little courtyard. The place was nice, but they don't accept Medicaid. The person who showed us around seemed to know what was going on, but she wasn't the person who was supposed to show us around (that person was busy elsewhere). So, we didn't meet with the person we were supposed to meet, but the tour was very good.

Best choice my Mom ever made for herself. There is something going on, on a daily basis. You can join or not. Two things to mention. One the food could be better and if someone is cleaning a room the door should be left open. Mom has lots of friends and is probably in better shape than she has been in a long time. We both recommend it.

My mother is in Spring Village at Dover. I did a video tour, and the rooms looked very nice. My niece was able to move her things to the facility, but not go inside at this point. They do different kinds of games. They're doing a lot of memory care work with my mom right now to try and help get some of her memory back. They do a lot of activities with them. She's still in quarantine; they keep them in quarantine for 14 days due to COVID so she hasn't been able to leave her room.
