The people at Oakmont of Las Vegas are wonderful to my friend. They actually called her a gift from God, because she is a very gentle woman, so it's unfortunate that she has dementia now, but it was really the cost that was the reason why we started looking to change the place so that we could make sure that her money would last through her life. My friend has her own room there, but she shares a bathroom with another person. The staff is so wonderful and caring about the people in memory care. We know that anybody who's had dementia/Alzheimer's are not easy people to take care of. You love them to pieces, but it's just a difficult task. They had a lot of activities all through the day for the residents. That was wonderful as well. They were just very kind and caring. I had lunch there and the food was wonderful. The menu they bring out looks like a five-star menu. During Christmas time they took the residents to see the lights at the Bellagio. They also took them to see a chocolate factory. So, they take them everywhere, and it's not like taking somebody who just needs assistance. They have rent that you pay every month, but on top of that you pay additional charges if a resident needs to be helped, get dressed, or needs help showering or anything.

Oakmont of Las Vegas is brand spanking new. It's spotless. The apartments that they had were like apartments. They had a studio and a one-bedroom apartment. The apartments were fabulous. The dining room was huge. The people were very friendly. We talked to some of the residents. That was the place that we were going to have my brother stay, but it was too expensive, and that's the bad part about it. Not too many people can afford to live there. It's just too expensive. The staff who gave the tour was a doll. We had a meal there and it was good. And they gave us a take home box for my brother. They are so good as far as activities. They had a 1920s type of fashion show there. The administrative person and her daughter went out and they got all these dresses and sort of stuff and made it look like the 1920s. They showed us videos of it, and it was fabulous. They have a van and a small bus, so they have transportation there too.

Oakmont of Las Vegas was our first choice. Their facility is beautiful. I love the environment and how clean and beautiful it is. I love the activities. The dining hall was lovely. The girl who showed me around was delightful. She was just stellar. And I know she's a saleswoman, but she was very caring and very lovely. She was personable and understanding. She just really got us. She understood. She was helpful. They offer cleaning services, food services, and activities. We had lunch there, and it was very pleasant and very good.

We toured Oakmont of Las Vegas. It was a very nice property. We liked it. However, we're concerned because it's too far away. It was beautiful. It was upgraded. The staff was nice. The residents that were there were very kind. My mom loved the place. The whole thing was very nice. If it were closer to the house, that would be the place, but it's not. It's too far.

I chose Oakmont of Las Vegas because of the openness of the hallways, the rooms, and everything. They have a large dining room, which is very nice. The garden area was excellent. All the amenities you could ask for are included in the price. Michelle, who gave me the tour, was excellent. She's a very nice young lady, she knew what she was talking about, and we had a good time.

The other place I like is the Oakmont of Las Vegas. It's a very nice place. It is a bigger facility. They have everything that the other place has. They have a salon to get your hair and nails done, and it is huge. There's a lot of staff. Their food is excellent. They have gourmet cooks. And if you missed breakfast, you could go and eat something because it's all day. It's 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and you can eat anytime if you want to. Their rooms are a little bit bigger. The price is a little too high, but it is worth it. It is an excellent place.

Oakmont of Las Vegas was beautiful. They have an awesome courtyard and the food was excellent. We ate lunch there. It's restaurant-style dining, which would have been very appropriate for my mother. It's just too large and hard to navigate. Just by talking to them, I thought my mother would have to have a full escort there, and that gets very pricey so she's going to be over her budget if she's there.

I liked Oakmont of Las Vegas. It was very nice and clean, and there was a good staff-to-patient ratio. It's out of our price range though. The staff during the tour was nice, sweet, and welcoming. They did have us try the food while we were there. Their transportation takes them to Wal-Mart, CVS, or Target. They could also go to the casino or do tours around the city. They're looking for a masseuse to do massages over there, and they have someone who cuts their hair and stuff like that. The food was pretty good.

I am sharing my review in hopes that it will help other families, that may share in my experience. Making difficult decisions as these for your family, are challenging on all emotional levels. It was necessary that I move my father closer to me, as quickly as possible and did a great deal of research in the process. The care, time and personable way in which Oakmont of Las Vegas shared their services and commitment to my father, gave me great comfort. With this and with ease, I choose to move my dad in. Due to his condition at the time of his move in, it required that he be placed with their memory care team. I knew in my heart, that my father was not yet in the stages needing memory care and hoped with him settling in and their assessment, this could be changed. The team at Oakmont of Las Vegas from the first moment of his arrival, were attentive to our hopes and my father's needs. After two weeks, assessment and most importantly getting to know my dad, they moved him from memory care to assisted living. I am incredibly grateful to all at Oakmont of Las Vegas, for making this happen and for his continued personalized care they provide each day.

I came from out of town and had 4 days to interview, move, setup and settle my father in an assisted living facility. This was by far the best one. The reviews were spot on. ALL the staff were spectacular in the flurry of all that needed to be done. When all was said and done, I felt right at home and I know my father will too. He is thrilled to be in his new home. It’s a beautiful place with a lot to offer. Thank you to all the Staff for helping me in this crucial time of our life.

We moved my still very sharp 94 year old mom to Oakmont from another facility in April, due to the decline in quality of care at the other assisted living home she had been at for 3 years. We looked at several other options before deciding on Oakmont. At 94 the change was a little difficult but the staff at Oakmont made the transition as easy as possible. Julia who is the marketing direction is actually from the suburbs of our hometown and still pops in on my mom to just chat and check in on her. Staff members, beside assisting her with the little help she does need (showering and dressing as she wears compression stockings) visit with her as they do their jobs and take an interest in her everyday life. We are there frequently as is my son and they always greet us by name. As my mom doesn't eat pork products, the chef has ordered in turkey bacon especially for her, which I feel goes above and beyond. When we go out of town, Julia and other staff increase their "pop-ins" to my mom just to chat and check in on her. Oakmont has recently instituted a weekly newsletter to both residents and family members to keep us up to date on activities. Upper management is constantly in the halls and activity rooms not locked away in their offices so they are well aware of what is going on. Another plus for Oakmont is that several caregivers and staff from my mom's old facility who were unhappy with the downgraded service being offered by the new management at her old place have recently followed my mom to Oakmont of Las Vegas as they feel they can continue to provide the quality of care that senior residents deserve

A former neighbor and friend moved into one of the apartments on Flamingo and I went over to help her unpack and get settled. I was hugely impressed with everything! There was plenty of parking; the lobby entrance was grand and beautiful. I felt like I walked into a hotel. I was greeted kindly by the receptionist and directed down the hall to my friend's new home. We went for a walk with her dog around the grounds - mature trees provided lots of shade and there were benches for sitting all around. The ground was even and she moved smoothly with her walker and her pup on a leash. Lots of grass too! Her room is beautiful; she's on the first floor and her ceilings looked vaulted. The bathroom was twice the size of one in a regular home and the bedroom large and spacious. The amenities are great - a lounge for playing cards with chess boards setup waiting for players. The dining room was large with tablecloths and linen napkins; a formal setting resembling a restaurant. What a grand place to live!!

Oakmont of Las Vegas doesn't have any independent living, they're just assisted or memory care. It was a very nice tour and the lady who gave the tour was very nice. They're the only place that I've heard that made me wear a mask, and they were all wearing masks too. But the rooms had no counter space in the little kitchen they give you, and the showers were really small too. But it's a newer place so it was very clean. This place is a little more expensive and pretty much out of my price range. They took me to out back to the garden area and it looked very nice. They had a lot of trees for shade, so you could sit out there and not be out in the sun, you should be under a tree. So it was nice around that area. But I wouldn't feel good walking outside the grounds or in the neighborhood anywhere there because it's not that good of an area.

My mom is staying at Oakmont of Las Vegas. She has been there since May of 2021. It's very clean. They now have activities that are helping out memory care. I've seen a big change in my mom. It fell apart for a while there because COVID had a lot to do with it and also people did not want to work. They now have a full staff, and they are all qualified. They treat the residents as family. They all know every one of them by their names. The rooms are very nice. They're clean and fresh. It's not old-fashioned. It looks up to date. I've tried their food, and it's very good. The dining area is very open and clean. They have tablecloths and napkins for each meal. They pay attention to what type of dishes they use. Because it's memory care, the color of food may blend into their chinaware, so they've got greens to make sure that they can see it property. If needing assistance, they are there and they do the job, they're taking very good care of my mom. They have daily activities, Monday through Friday. They are just now going to be hiring somebody for Saturday and Sunday, but they do have an activities coordinator. She's very good, very upbeat, and not just reading the residents something. They're upbeat. They play games, they play bingo, and they have trivia. On the 18th, we are all invited to the theater to watch a movie with them and they're going to be serving hors d'oeuvre and stuff like that. They're now up to par on celebrating all of the holidays. They've come a long way because of that big problem late last year. It was perfect before and then there was a huge fallout, but now they're getting people that are passionate about their job. They are back on track. I've had meetings with them and more meetings. I had two meetings, one with the executive director and the memory care director, and he has shown how strong he is and how he cares for the residents and also the caregivers. They have a salon and a beautiful garden with a waterfall. It's just very nice and open. In memory care, they have a garden area where they will plant things with the residents. They have happy hour every Thursday. They have the same hors d'oeuvre that assisted living has. They have transportation, and they take them out on scenic rides. Their upkeep is just fantastic. It just feels new in there all the time. It feels clean and they clean everything. They have a housekeeper now that's there all the time, so anything goes wrong, it's cleaned up. They're well taken care of. My mom's room is always clean, and their laundry is always done and hung up to my specifications.

Oakmont of Las Vegas was fantastic. The grounds and courtyard were beautiful. The food was fantastic. The rooms were nice. The whole facility was clean. It was not institutionalized. It was a nice place. We only interacted with one of the ladies, and she was very knowledgeable, informative, and very gracious in answering our questions. They invited us for lunch in the dining area. We had fish and chips, and it was delicious. The dining area was open, airy, and very clean. They had a nice theater room with big, comfy seats and TVs. There were several different game rooms. They had physical therapy and exercise class. They have a pool and a beautiful courtyard where residents can take a walk or just sit by a tree and read. It was a very relaxing place.

I met with a young lady by the name of Julia at Oakmont of Las Vegas. She was very informative. It's newly renovated. They have a beautiful theater. They have a beautiful outdoor oasis, where they can dine. They have activities, and they can take walks. They also have little kitchenettes that are very nice, with their own little microwaves and little refrigerators. It's a very warm and very welcoming feeling when you walk inside. It's very bright. The food quality is exceptional, and the presentation is amazing. And everybody is so nice, they're very, very nice. They don't have that atmosphere like the hospital, it's almost like a homey feeling. It's like a country set type of feeling but it's very, very nice. I was sold on it when I first walked in and I met with the staff for the first five minutes. I was impressed with that facility. When I first walked in, I didn't think I was going to be able to afford it, and I thought I was in the wrong place. The lady I met said, "No, no, no. Let me sit you down and explain the pricing". And I was in shock, I was like, "My God, this is amazing." So I'm very, very happy with it, extremely. We have an appointment to go back and sit down for a meal so we can see it. They have an actual menu and they have an all-day menu, and all of their chefs are sous chefs from the culinary arts. So they have five-star dining. The place was so clean.

We went to Oakmont of Las Vegas. We like the size of the rooms and the brightness of the facility. There were people that we were able to talk to. There were many different rooms for amenities like live entertainment and that type of stuff. They had a salon in there. We call this facility a 'diamond.' They also have kitchenettes. And we're going for a second tour today. It's a good location because it's really like two miles down from where my mom lives, so it keeps her in the area. As of today, we have two choices, and this one right now is number one. Parking was great, too. Oakmont is on the top of my list.

My father is in Oakmont of Las Vegas. We like it a lot. We chose that particular facility because it has a beautiful courtyard. It has a very large outdoor area with grass, benches, tables, and pathways to walk and that was what was so appealing compared to the other one that we saw and the other two that I looked up online. The outdoor space was very important. The staff is very nice and helpful. We like the architecture, the interior, and the decor. The apartment is lovely. It's comparable to other senior living spaces. It was very clean and tidy when we moved in. It's nice that it meets his needs. He loves the food. They have music and a happy hour Thursday where they have music and a cocktail that you can have, performers come in and entertain them, and then they have a poker night, game night, and crafts. They have a lot of activities, and they celebrate all the holidays there. I think it's really good. It keeps them active.

Right now, Oakmont of Las Vegas has not been able to keep up with Dad's medications. They were supposed to do a reassessment for 14 days; they have not done it yet. They were supposed to do it this week, but it still hasn't been done. They have not done what they said they were supposed to do. So I'm looking at other places, medication, names. First of all, a week before this, I get his medications for the week before they call, two days after he was out of medication, and then I had to get somebody to go and get emergency medication for him. They have not done what they said they were supposed to do, so I'm looking at other places. They were supposed to call and get his medications a week before, but they called two days after he was out of medication, and then I had to get somebody to go and get emergency medication for him. He was supposed to have his furniture taken to his unit, and they didn't deliver right away. We still had to call them and he still didn't get it for a few days. They had furniture in his room that they lent us, which they're supposed to remove once he got his furniture, and they did not come and remove it. So they have problems with maintenance. I don't know if they're short-staffed or not, but they didn't come and get the furniture, we had to put it outside his apartment, which was days later. There was a whole bunch of stuff, and my family's been dealing with some staff issues. He likes the food and it's fine. He didn't get his activity calendar until the other day. It's terrible value for the money at this point, because they're not doing what they're supposed to be doing.

We toured of Oakmont of Las Vegas for my dad. It was very nice. It was very well-kept and very clean. Everybody was nice and very knowledgeable. We got a lot of information that day. We did not try the food, but they showed us where everybody eats at, and they showed us the menu. We got to see activities, and we got to see the grounds where they can go outside. I didn't really see too many amenities, but there were things to do outside, like gardening, and there was music. The rooms were really nice, they just remodeled everything, and they put a lot of money into it. Even in the middle of the construction, it was still kept clean. The place was not dirty or dusty or anything like that. I thought the activities were interesting. That was definitely something I did not know, that they had memory care, and I wasn't even familiar with what that was. When they explained it, took us around, and showed us what it was and what it meant, and how it helped the patient; it definitely was helpful. I would definitely recommend it to anybody who is looking to place their family member in long-term care. It is a nice facility, it's a little too expensive for our taste, but I definitely would recommend it to others.

I moved into Oakmont of Las Vegas. So far, I'm generally very happy. The only thing I don't like is the COVID restrictions forced on us by the government. The staff is great, the facility is very nice, the food is very good. There is a lot of construction going on, the place is getting a major face lift, and they're making rapid progress, and I look forward to the new additions when they're completed. There's the minor inconvenience of having the construction going on, but overall the place has been really nice. The staff is helpful, always respectful, and they seem to take extra care to stop and listen as required to anybody who speaks to them for any reason. I found the food to be different selections every day, and everything has been at least pretty good, and a couple of items has been absolutely outstanding, so I'm highly impressed, and I particularly like the variety of food. They're always mixing it up and trying something new. The library is being redone right now, and the workout room the same thing, some facilities are temporarily/unavailable, but will be back better than ever pretty soon. I've taken part in only a few activities, but they're making a real effort to keep life interesting and interactive. Yesterday they had a singer come in, and based on the fact that the long-term residents recognize him, I think he's a regular here. This is the best place for the money, it's less expensive than a lot of places, more so than a couple of them that I would pay a lower price for; the difference in price was enough to justify it. It was the best compromise of value for the cash.

Oakmont was all right, but the rooms were rather small. I would give it about a three and say it's adequate. I only had a very short visit there; I had pretty much already made up my mind. It was such a short visit. I didn't find anything glaringly wrong, but I was not overly impressed either. I hate to give them a rating because I simply wasn't there that long. I believe they provide activities and I believe they provide a courtesy shuttle bus if my memory serves me correctly.

Oakmont of Las Vegas was pretty good, but it was a bit too far for the location, and the price was a little too high. The staff was very kind, very good with everything, and you could tell they were just trying to be there for you. They were undergoing renovations to update everything. They have events that go on in the courtyard, and you are able to go and barbecue and invite friends over.

My mom moved into assisted care. Overall, I'm very happy with them. They provide a very warm environment and the residents are very friendly. It's a really great environment for my mom to meet people. They have great activities. They have morning exercise classes and card games. They provide transportation. She likes the food and they offer three meals a day. They also have a little 24- hour bistro where they can get unlimited coffee, tea, water, muffins, sandwiches, and fruit. My mom has a very nice studio, which has a window that faces a beautiful interior courtyard which is one of the nicest things about the place.

I like the fact that it is very open. I like that they have all-day dining; you can go in from 7:00 until 6:00, and they have a chef, so you could either have the daily special or have other food made like a menu. The food is good. They have individual tables up to four people, and they have a wait staff that takes your order and brings you your food just like in a restaurant. My friend is in a one-bedroom apartment, which has a large living room, a sectioned off area that has a small refrigerator, a sink, some cabinets, and a place for coffeemaker, and then the bedroom and living room each have individual air-conditioning controls. The bathroom is large, which is wheelchair and walker accessible. If you needed it, they can put up bars for the bathroom for the shower. There's a management staff and service staff, and they're always friendly and smiling and say hi. They seem to know the residents' names. They've got a big courtyard. They have several activities -- they take the people out, they have entertainers that come in, and they have bingo, Kentucky derby, sing-alongs, groups that come in and do singing and dancing, exercise classes, beading and knitting classes, and movie nights. She moved there in February.

It was a really nice experience. My father really liked it. Everybody was real pleasant. We came in the afternoon, and they were cooking up dinner. The food smelled good. Everything was pretty well up to par. It wasn't huge, but it was nice. He liked all the activities that they have including the trips. The building was kind of built in a big circle. The only thing I can see my father having trouble with was remembering which way goes where.

I just thought it is a nice facility. It’s clean and my mother gets along really well there. She is enjoying her time and she has quite a few groups already. She is just so much happier there. She is in a studio room and it has a nice bathroom with an emergency thing in there. Everybody has to wear their emergency necklaces. She has a bed that was small with a refrigerator and I think above that was a microwave and a nice closet space. It is well laid out and she has everything that she needs. I know that she plays bingo and penny poker. I know they have activities where somebody comes in for entertainment. Every time I call, she is either playing card or playing bingo. I do know they have also exercises. I was able to there with her and the food was okay. They have a nice menu.

It is clean. I looked at the apartments, and they were nice, but I got claustrophobic because a 1-bedroom apartment seems small to me in comparison with my house. They were polite, very nice, and very cordial. They told me about the things that they do, what services they provide.

It's interesting. I called them up and it sounded like a great place, and it turned out that my uncle has checked it out and it was a higher level of need, higher than he needed at that time. So it was a place that he wanted to go to and he could afford. And this is the place I liked the best. I don't live in Vegas and I don't intend to, but it was really much more upscale, comfortable, clean, and smelled good. If he has memory issues, he wouldn't get lost the way it was set up. All the people were really nice and the staff was friendly. He is in the assisted living but does not require a lot of assistance. They come in and take care of his medicine and do his laundry; the little things he doesn’t need help with too much. They have a lot of day to day activities that people can get involved in. They have buses that go to places like the store or the casino. At the place, they have people come in to sing and play the piano. They have a board where they put pictures ofwhen they were in military service, and he was in the army and he was really proud about having his picture up on the board. We were there last November during Veteran's Day. I thought they treated him kind of special there. We went to a couple of different apartments and the one he liked was honestly a little more than we thought and had a bigger bedroom like a little apartment with kitchenette. Food was really good too.

The rooms, accommodations, the food, everything seems to be really good. We've had a few hiccups on getting mother to doctors and things like that but hopefully I'll get that taken care of this week. I like that my mother likes being there. The sanitation is very good. I can't think of anything that they don't have over there. There's something going on every minute.

It seemed to fit my mother's needs. They had a lot of activities and entertainment; all things she likes to do. It looked like a real cared for place, it seemed more like a resort. The staff was good.
