We moved to Cactus Valley 2 years ago and we couldn't be happier. It was the best move for us, giving us freedom from house maintenance, cleaning, cooking, yard upkeep and so much more. Here, we have a beautiful apartment in a beautiful community. We enjoy delicious meals. participate in fun activities, meet and make wonderful new friends, interact with an amazing staff that tends to our every need and we still have time to do what we personally want to do. Movies, bingo with prizes, happy hour with entertainment, and live musical/comedy shows keep us entertained. There's so much to do and so little time! Cactus Valley is truly like being on a "land-cruise"!

We toured Cactus Valley Retirement Resort and that was fabulous. Everything's a vibe, the food, the stuff, the residents, and the layout. They have one-bedroom and two-bedrooms with and without balconies. They have a beautiful big movie theater and a very nice lobby. We met the chef. He was very nice. He told us all what he was doing and how he made the changes and was very informative.

Cactus Valley Retirement Resort lives up to its name. This 55+ well appointed community is made up of caring and friendly staff and residents. My husband and I stopped by to review the facilities and sent the details to my mom who was living out of state. She decided to move in and we couldn’t be happier! She loves living independently, has many new friends, and we all love her decision to join the Cactus Valley family! My mom’s all-inclusive monthly payment means just that. Her rent includes everything: all utilities (including internet and cable), gym classes, activities, movie theater, and the Cactus Vally bus service. She is served 3 healthy and delicious meals each day, with the option of ‘grab and go’ meals. My husband is a major fan of the coffee and soft serve ice cream. The rent also includes a handyman and a weekly housekeeper! Most importantly, the attentive staff is lead by Lisa, and Abe, managers who truly enjoy what they do. Thank you Cactus Valley Retirement Resort for creating such a warm, safe, and inviting place for our mom.

This is the third year that I have lived at Cactus Valley. This is absolutely the best place for me to be at this time. After retirement I dreamed of living with no worries in a place that was lots of fun. Cactus Valley is it. No more cooking, no more cleaning, no more boredom . . . just lots of fun new friends, a caring staff, and many things to do. My apartment is just right for my needs: a full kitchen with new appliances, large walk-in closets, a washer and dryer (as well as a laundry room down the hall for big jobs). There's also a large movie theater, a hair salon, a gym, a pool room, a library and more, more, more! If you ask for a tour, you will see a roomy, beautifully decorated place that you will want to call home.

I toured Cactus Valley Retirement Resort. They're very nice. Their rooms are nice. It's laid out well. They have plenty of activity areas. You have to stand in line for food. That's different from where I'm at. We sit wherever we want and we're served. That is a difference for them that they do have a cafeteria-style rather than sit down to eat. It has a beautiful auditorium and a fun little bar area for getting together, before meals, or during social time. It's just farther out, it's farther from my work. It was very clean, it was set up well, lots of areas to play cards, or games with your own group. I thought it was very nice. The salesperson was extremely nice, and so was the activities lady.

I moved into Cactus Valley Retirement Resort. So far, they have been fine. I do not have a washer and dryer in my apartment yet, but they've promised me those will be here today. So that was my only disappointment when I got here. Everybody has been very helpful. I have a one-bedroom apartment, and it's very nice. They have two- and three-bedroom units. They have a lot of activities. The meals are wonderful so far, and there are three meals. You can go to a cafeteria and sit down or have 24-hour room service at no extra charge. They have a large theater, lots of meeting rooms, a huge exercise room, all kinds of activity rooms, and a beauty shop. They have a concierge who takes care of all your little details. The interaction with the staff has been wonderful. The manager has been very helpful, and the marketing director has been wonderful. The real estate agent doesn't work here, but he's like family. He's been wonderful, and he moved me here. You have a name tag, and everybody greets you, so it's very friendly. They have a nice variety and quality of food. I like where my apartment is because it's near the elevator, so it's very convenient. It's a little pricey.

What I like the least about Cactus Valley Retirement Resort was that it didn't feel secure, but it's very nice otherwise. The staff that gave the tour seemed very good. The upkeep of the place seemed good. The reason why I didn't feel secure was that it's not the best location, and there are no gates. Since it's located out here in Henderson, it's located close to what you need everywhere.

Cactus Valley Retirement Resort has a very novel feature. When you walk into their lobby, they have a koi pond with live fish. It was very nice. What I did not like about them was they have certain hours for certain meals. They had a buffet-style salad bar in their dining room. I don't care for when food sits out exposed like that. The facility was nice looking, and the rooms were nice. The staff during the tour was cordial and very accommodating. It's a lovely place and it's kind of new.

I was a resident of Cactus Valley Retirement Resort. Physically, the place looked nice, but the construction was cheap. When I actually moved in, everything was wrong, the kitchen cabinet gave me splinters, and I couldn't lock my patio door, just stupid little things, but they get at you when that keeps happening. My biggest complaint there is that there was something going on behind the corporate level of that place. They cannot keep managers; they're trying to get their fourth set of managers in. It just doesn't seem to run well, there are just glitches, and the biggest thing is the crazy food. I don't care if you have to eat hamburger, but if you season it OK it could be good, so I don't know. I mainly got the same dead water salad, nothing changed, it was the same all the time. Everything had gravy and everything was fried. We had a few that we shouldn't have had there. They tried to do a happy hour out in the main hall. There was like a water feature that they used to try to have us socialize around that at distances, but it didn't work because we kept drifting closer to each other. And they did eventually move happy hour in this part of Friday dinner, because in there we're seated and we couldn't wander. They tried to be helpful, but they were absolutely hamstrung by corporate. The corporate just had their fingers on everything. Some of the staff were really good, but corporate told us how many people we were allowed to have as staff. It was all based on number of residents living there, and so it always seemed short staffed. The staff that was there were very nice and I can't say bad things about them. I thought I was overpaying for what I was getting.
