Coronado Ridge Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center was a relatively new facility, but it didn't work out well because Mom didn't get the therapy she needed, and then I had to pull her out. The reason was she wasn't progressing and she had tremendous bedsores, so I wasn't happy with it. She shouldn't have had those. Her bedsores were a result of her not getting out and using the therapy, and them not changing her depends enough, because her bedsores were horrific. I had to have home care come to my house for three months before those bedsores went away. The food was crummy. It wasn't very good. It was bland. Some of the people that work there were good though, but some of the administrators weren't, because I complained to them and it did no good. Mom's room was OK. The upkeep was also OK.

I've been to and seen so many other places and the other facilities don't hold a candle to this place. The Therapy was outstanding, the food was great. The nurses were kind. Would highly recomend.

This place is a health hazzard to their patients. My friend was admitted there for rehab. There, he had a minor cut and was treated by a nurse. The treatment was so unsanitary and unprofessional that the patient got a serious infection at the cut. Now, my friend is in so much pain which is so much worse than when he was admitted for. What happened to the adage "First does no harm"? By the way, the patient's room is filthy.

10/10/2021 My father was sent to this facility from Henderson Hospital tonight. After 10 days in the ICU, he needed physical therapy to build strength. My father said that he was dropped off in a room. No one came in to see him to get him admitted/settled. He had been there for 3 hours. No vital signs taken, no dinner given, no medications given. I called and was finally able to speak to the nurse. She said she was the only nurse on that night and that a cna had been in to see him. My father had seen no one. I was concerned about him getting his blood pressure medication. The nurse said he would not get any medication tonight. My step-mother picked him up and took him home. Hopefully the caseworker at Henderson Hospital can make other arrangements for him. I am a nurse and understand staffing shortages. This, however, is absolutely unacceptable. If there is not enough staff to care for all of the patients, why would they accept a new patient?

I was there for only a short time thank God. With the help of family and friends I ran from this place. Bad care, rude nursing staff, terrible food (what little of it there was), there wasn't even a bed side toilet for me when I checked in, they scrounged around and found one finally but no bags for it, everything was makeshift and half ass..please don't put your family in here. You will regret it.

My mother is in HORIZON RIDGE SKILLED NURSING & REHABILITATION CTR for rehab. She's been there about two or three weeks. She's getting therapy there. I haven't been inside the building; they won't allow anyone in. It's a nice-looking building. She said the staff kind of forget things, like getting her meals to her, but other than that, it takes them about an hour to answer the call bell, and she thinks they're short-handed or something. It's a newer building; it's not an old place. She says the therapy is quite good.

Stop..... DO NOT choose this facility for your loved one! This place was awful my mother was admitted there recently for rehab. The staff is disorganized and unprofessional and the facility is unsanitary. My mother was neglected several times when calling the nurse for personal care the CNA Regina was rough when handling and changing my mother. The food is terrible my mother has type 2 diabetes and the dietician does not tailor your meals for your loved one! They feed the patients cheese burgers and fried chicken.. Foods that are too tough for people with dentures. Also during these times of the pandemic and Covid-19 its important to be clean and safe. The staff that i met with to share these concerns both had the virus and were interacting. with everyone as well with the patients. I saw my mothers room and it was nasty the tables were dirty. The floors were filthy and my mothers bed was soiled. Plus nothing was being done for my mothers rehabilitation. Her legs were not being treated. And they have no orthopedic doctors on site. They use a wheel chair push the patient around and they call that therapy and rehabilitation. Save yourself and your loved one.. And please find a facilty that actually Cares and respects the patients. Find one that will give you the proper care and medical attention you and your loved one deserves..

The facility is updated and looks nice, but care was substandard for mom. Dr. was never available - nurses actually told me to wait by the front door to catch him {?!) Medications were mismanaged and never at the appropriate times. Some of the nurses were nice, but overworked. Other nurses were rude and couldn't be bothered to answer questions or provide kind care. TV's do not have headphones - if roommate wants to loudly blast tv volume for 24 hours the nurses won't do anything about it. And you can hear tv's BLARING at all hours of the night and day. Would never, never recommend this place!
