We are very pleased with the care our parents receive at The Meadows. There are a lot of activities for them to take part throughout the week. The staff is very caring, friendly and helpful. Peace of mind is what we have for our parents since they have moved there!

The Meadows was great and a larger facility. You could go from independent to assisted and stay in the same facility. The staff was very helpful, gave us lots of information, answered questions, and stayed in contact. It met all of our expectations and everything.

My father is at The Meadows. I last visited a little over a year ago. The facility has deteriorated over the last couple of years and they've always been full in the past, but right now they've got 15 apartments that are available. They're struggling to keep individuals in the facility, but part of it is also because there's been a brand-new facility that has opened. He lives in the independent living wing. They have assisted living and they just added memory care. They've been really good to my dad and they've looked out for him. They've had quite a bit of turnover recently. A lot of folks have retired, but they're pretty responsive to any of my questions or concerns.

The rooms were nice at The Meadows. The staff that I talked to was fine. They have some exercise equipment, and they also play cards. They have bingo and different games. Their hallways are kind of narrow, and it seems like it's hard for a wheelchair. They offer one meal only.

The nursing home in Norfolk was a very friendly place. Every time I or my family visited my grandma, we were very pleased with how clean the building was. The staff was always happy and helpful to get my grandmother out of the room and in the family room. They always helped my grandma walk from place to place and were very nice and polite to her and my family. On my grandmother's birthday, we decided to throw a little party for her. We brought ice cream, cake, and gifts for her. She loves to watch movies and put together puzzles so we brought old western movies and one thousand piece puzzles. The staff was very helpful making this party happen by bringing the other residents to the party and setting everything that needed to be set up, set up. Overall, I was very impressed with the way the building felt on the inside and how the staff was more than welcome to help the visitors with whatever they needed as well as the residents.

I have a relative that resides here....and he loves it. It is quiet but with lots of 'kick'!! What he really loves about it is the Quietness. Great interactions with other residents and staff also. He constantly exclaims about the food, quite a compliment, believe me!!!
