My mother is in Sumner Place Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation. They take her down for her meals and she's with everybody else in the cafeteria. Just in general, she seems a lot happier and more content. The service seems to be top-notch, everything's fine and we have no complaints about it. The rooms are a little smaller and are double-occupancy rooms, but she's been without a roommate for most of her time there because it's not full yet. The facility itself is clean, well-lit, and well-cared for. But frankly, the price seems high. They could lower their costs, but other than that, they're doing great.

I like Sumner Place Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation. They have an exercise room where you can do therapy. They have a nurse on staff all the time, which is the main thing. And they offer a lot more services for Dad. The staff was really good. She was really nice and very informative. I like the place. The building was so clean. The rooms were everything my dad would need.

My mother moved into Sumner Place Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation. It's a beautiful place. We were welcomed at the door, and they immediately started to get to know Mom. The staff has been very attentive since she's been there. It's a nice room. She is in a semi-private room or a shared room, but it's nice. It has everything that she is needing at this point in her life -- all of the services. It just seems like they're always present -- maintenance, nutrition, and housekeeping. The staff are very friendly and we met a lot of them yesterday. They do have an activity room. They do different things. There's physical therapy and occupational therapy. The dining area is specifically for the memory care patients; they have their own wing just for themselves. They have staff helping them, and their food is served to their table, which is the table where they're sitting. It's a nice little area for them.

This nursing home had a great, caring staff who really showed that they appreciated my visit to the facility. All of the staff seemed very knowledgable and well-versed in how they handle every day affairs. One thing I was not impressed with was the lighting and overall look of the facility. I thought the facility seemed gloomy and unkept. Although having a facility in a neighborhood isn't a bad aspect by any means, looking onto the facility from outdoors was sad. It looked strange, to say the least. I think it could have been much better handled and cared for, both indoors and outdoors. Looking around the building, I noticed it seemed a bit understaffed. I believe that if I had moved my grandfather into this facility, they would have tried to give him the care he needs and deserves, but it would have been a struggle with the amount of residents living there and the small amount of available staff. It was such a shame, due to the caring staff that did work there.

Although it is an older facility, Milder Manor has maintained the building and living accommodations well. The staff is skilled and pleasant to work with. They made every effort to ensure my mother's comfort in her last years. They accommodated her "quirks" and went out the way to make her life as pleasant as possible. As she approached inevitable death, the staff provided good council as to "Comfort and Care," instead of feeding tubes and IV's to sustain life with no quality or "living." I did not want to be present when my mother passed, but the staff made sure someone was sitting with her when the time came. They dressed her as I requested and included her pocketbook when she was cremated. All in all, Milder Manor made a stressful time for me as pain free as could be. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Milder Manor to folks looking for a compassionate care facility for a loved one.
